While there is not an option to have a cloud based model where multiple users are in the file at once, there are pros and cons to this feature. I think it allows for fewer discrepencies between team members, while it might create a slightly slower workflow. Pros I appreciate that I can customize the majority of the things I want in my model space and drawing set and I appreciate the helpful tips that pop up in this version of Autocad. I also have always had success when talking to and troubleshooting with customer support and almost always am able to resolve the problem either in house or with tech support. Cons I sometimes find linking things together (beyond using the block tool) frustrating. For example, when I am creating a dimension string, it would be helpful in addition to the "Continue" command, if there was a way to connect these dimensions and have them snap to objects more easily. I feel comfortable using the software, and it is an integral part of my daily workflow. It is an odd day if I do not open it. Very functional, very versatile, and full of customizations for the technically minded. I would recommend. Pros AutoCAD has been the primary tool that I have used for all of my architectural design. It has been invaluable, and defineitely justifies the cost. Although I primarily use the 2D drafting, the 3D modeling is also a valuable tool to have in the back pocket. I feel that AutoCAD is the industry standard. I rarely run into any bugs or issues, and the saving system keeps all files and AutoLSPs secure. I have never needed to fix a major issue with customer support, but a coworker of mine has received assistance. Cons Occasionally, the number of possible customizations ends of being a bit difficult. I have had many times that a less familiar coworker or I encounter an issue and don't know where to start at fixing it. It is harder to customize than the older versions of CAD or Autocad alternatives. Pros The only pros about it is that everyone uses it so it can be used to open drawings from other firms. Cons It is not fully compatible with free-cad or Draftsight applications, it will give an error message saying the file was not created by an Autocad application even though there is nothing wrong with it and the file opens fine after closing the warning box. The biggest problem is sending files to people with earlier versions of CAD, they make it where you have to either buy a new copy of Autocad each year or the people sending the file have to save it down to your Autocad version. They have also eliminated or made it difficult to have auto-cad classic view instead of the ribbon. The new Xref manager is horrible unless you remember to type xrefclassic. It also had compatibility issues with old designs you had from previous software releases. And lastly, there were bugs when it came to importing fonts and measurement scales that were implemented by other designers when working in group works, but now it is great to see these problems resolved.
