Technical Senior Manager Computer Hardware Used the software for: 1-2 years ### "Autopublishing bussiness cards, booklets and labels, plus image edition" May 26, 2021 5.0 One feature we use is the capacity to print labels merging a list of our contacts. That feature alone justifies the little price we pay. Pros I like the variety of documents I can edit easily. We use it to make regular documents to our courses and lately to edit some images for the web and everything is easy to acomplish. The program includes more than 500 templates. Cons I see it kind of outdated because there is no included photo library, and many other apps like Canva has it. But for basic Mac users I think is OK. Pros This tool has easy drag and drop functionality in a layered format to organize your info. Cons There are some restrictions or challenges with the layered format, especially when dealing with margins. Worship & Media Director Religious Institutions Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "Does not work with Adobe Typekit Fonts" March 24, 2021 3.0 Low cost software doesn't necessarily equal good value. Would prefer to have paid more for software that is properly compatible with Adobe, considering this is design software. Pros This software overall works fine for most uses and it is a low cost option. Cons It doesn't work with Adobe Typekit. The fonts we purchased through Adobe do actually load in the software even though Swift support says they won't, but on a regular basis the fonts will just get replaced with other fonts, and you have to go and manually change all your fonts back to the font you paid for. Support says the Adobe Typekit fonts don't work with this software and basically just aren't helpful. In the past we have used Microsoft Publisher and a similar thing would happen occasionally but instead of replacing all the fonts, Publisher would warn you that the font couldn't be found and give you a chance to correct the issue. As long as we were connected to the internet and signed in to the Adobe account, we could always find the font and the software would work without replacing all the fonts in our documents. I suggested adding this feature to make Swift compatible with Adobe, but was ignored. Review Source JW Jeff W. But, OMG! After a couple uses, I am exceeding my dreams with it. Pros Easy to use and has lots of features. Hard to beat unless you’re a graphic guru. In that case you’ll probably prefer this cause it’s so quick and easy. Lo. Nur das ist bei dem Umfang, den diese SuperSoftware bietet, nicht ungewöhnlich. Aber mir macht es immer wieder Freude diesen Prozess zu gehen. Reason for choosing Swift Publisher weil ich sofort verstanden habe, dass ich hier die meisten Layoutfreiheiten, Möglichkeiten verschiedenes unkompliziert auszuprobieren bis das gewünschte Produkt final vom Kunden abgenommen wird. March 10, 2024 1.0 Nur für den privaten Gebrauch möglich, aber nicht um offizielle Dokumente mit Bildern und Textfeldern zu erstellen. Pros Man kann Text und Bildfelder beliebig anordnen. Das ist für den privaten Bereich für Karten etc. ausreichend. Cons Die Funktion Inhaltsverzeichnis erstellen ist nicht vorhanden, d.h. man kann keine Dokumente erstellen, die ein solches benötigen. Auch Booklets benötigen Inhaltsverzeichnisse. Pros I really liked the practicality and ease of use and the various tools that the editor makes available. After using Publisher for a long time and struggling with formatting and transferring things since I use a Mac, and had to use another computer to use Publisher, I was relieved to find a usable software that I could use on the Mac, was not pricey, and did exactly what I needed it to do. We have used this software for two years now and it's been a much faster and more customizable experience. Pros This software was such a relief to find after using Microsoft Publisher for so long that it became outdated. Very user-friendly, inexpensive, and is super easy to customize and understand. Cons It does look a little bit basic, but that's probably part of why it's inexpensive. I did also have some trouble with a few fonts. Review Source MS Meredith S. Everything was ready to send to a professional printer when I was done and I never needed to pay a designer. Even the printer was impressed by my self made product. Before I found Swift Publisher, I bought online templates that were useless. The program was fantastic and saved my project! Cons Limited design tools and fonts. Some of my favorite fons were not available. Reason for choosing Swift Publisher Because Swift provided tutorials about how to use the product. Its user friendly and not much training needed to use it, especially if you've done this sort of thing before. Pros The quality is great and the templates look really good. I can make a beautiful brochure in no time, quick and quite easy Cons This product works on Mac and Apple products only which is limiting.
