Pros

It is a very complete solution, both in terms of data quality and variety, as well as visualizations and overall user experience. The support team is excellent and always available, consistently providing helpful suggestions and solutions. They are truly committed to their clients’ success.

Cons

The plans could be more flexible in terms of pricing and number of mentions, and it would be great to have an engagement filter to better prioritize and analyze high-impact conversations.

Insights Copilot examples: Provide more examples, avoid duplicates, ensure examples fit the insight summary and draw from broader sources. In some cases, too few examples are shown compared to the available mention base. Visual insights often are too sensitive when reading the OCR and with that we usually get a lot of noise. Would be great to have option how to show only what we want to show and eliminate irrelevant visual content.

I use YouScan for work on a daily basis and, overall, I am very satisfied with it. Having also tried other monitoring tools, I would recommend YouScan to anyone who needs to carry out social listening analyses, whether simple or complex. The interface works well and its monitoring capabilities are strong. The platform offers a high degree of customization, meeting virtually any analyst’s needs. On the few occasions when my team and I needed support, we received it quickly. For all of these reasons, I can say that my overall experience has been excellent.

Pros

Among the main strengths are certainly its ease of use, combined with the ability to carry out different types of analysis thanks to access to an extensive database. The application of filters is particularly valuable, as it allows users to select the desired level of analytical detail and offers a high degree of customization. In addition, the Insight Co-pilot feature helps quickly retrieve information and supports high-quality qualitative analysis.

Cons

One weakness I noticed lies in the limitations of Instagram monitoring, which depends on the presence of hashtags in posts and therefore narrows the overall monitoring scope.

Overall, we are very happy with YouScan and look forward to unlocking more insights for our brand. They have already added several new features since we started our plan with them, and we can't wait to see what's next.

Pros

We use this tool to do our social media listening, and it's been a game-changer. We've been able to find and participate in conversations that we would have otherwise missed. The starter plan is a great value! The visual and audio insights are something we couldn't find with other social listening platforms.

Cons

Compared to other social listening platforms, the UX isn't the best, and it can be a little clunky. I would not recommend it for team members who have a hard time learning new technology. I also wish there were a mobile app. The website doesn't work well on a mobile device, and being able to access insights on the go is paramount for social media teams.

### "Powerful Social Listening that won't Break the Bank"

My overall experience with YouScan has been really nice. I was able to implement it quickly, scale it across two projects, and utilize it to quickly research other project opportunities. The price is very manageable for the tight budgets I work with. It was also relatively easy to train contractors on using the tool, thanks to YouScan's academy which can be done individually and at your own pace.

Pros

YouScan is the best "bang for your buck" tool on the social listening market right now. Unlike other platforms, it will not break the bank, and still comes with an extremely wide breadth of sources including TikTok, Facebook, and Instagram, which can be difficult to access on other social listening tools. The geographic range of sources was the top selling point for my team, as we required deep reseach capabilities in Central Asia, a region that is not well covered under other social listening tools. YouScan is on the leading edge of innovation, with tools like visual recognition and Copilot integration that are unmatched on the current market. I've found YouScan to be easy to use, though I had a background in social listening beforehand. But with the level of detailed attention and eager support provided by YouScan's customer service, I think anyone can take advantage of their services and quickly learn to use YouScan to its best capability. My team has used Youscan for nearly a year, to great success, monitoring two large infrastructure projects in an extremely complex information environment with a multitude of stakeholders and many mininformation campaigns. It helps us stay ahead of the noise and keep our clients informed on risks and opportunities related to their projects.

Cons

My only complaint about YouScan is the user interface for writing queries, which could be improved. It would be nice if the topics included subtopics, so writers do not have to manage such large queries. It's not impossible, but could be easier. It was also hard to wrap my head around YouScan's version of wildcarding, which is automatically applied to any keyword that's not in quotations. YouScan's documentation on the variants was not super helpful, in the end I put most of my keywords in quotes to avoid false positives.

We needed a social media listening tool to conduct research in Central Asian countries, a region which was not covered well in our previous tool. YouScan covers all the sources we need, including VK, OK, and Telegram. YouScan supports our monitoring work for a global multilateral involved in large infrastructure projects in Central Asia, helping keep them informed about key actors and stakeholders, public perception towards the projects, and any new or emerging risks in the area. What would have taken countless hours to search for manually on social media sites and google, YouScan now captures immediately and brings it all into one place. YouScan saves us time and makes the job of my analysts much easier.

It is difficult to single out weaknesses, the first thing that comes to mind is a slight difficulty with the configuration of the cabinet, where you need to manually specify the command for the platform, but even this is easy to learn thanks to the staff of the company.

A user-friendly, comprehensive tool with access to many sources, although with limitations in number of queries and search tool.

Pros

YouScan offers more information sources that are not available in other tools, like TikTok content and the ability of integrating Google Maps reviews, among others. It is a very user-friendly platform. The fact that mention volume increases do not affect the project quotas is also a strenght. Customer Support has been very helpful and has addressed our questions and needs promptly.

Cons

The number of queries (in all plans) is very limited, which implies combining several projects into one query. This is not ideal for a medium or large operation, at least for agencies. Most other tools are not as restrictive on this matter, or don't have any limits. The "Search" tool (outside the Topics) provides very limited information since the sample is so small. Therefore it's useful only for very large volumes or for the mentions number. It is not competitive vs other platforms like Talkwalker.

Daily monitoring helps us understand which messages have the potential to be spread, who are the main authors and what influence do they have. All these (and not only these) things help different political institutions work more promptly in their daily communication, respond in a timely manner to the fakes and build more adequate communication strategy, be more flexible and modern. All data become the ground for decisions.

Pros

We really admired by the work with this software and all the team who creates and develops this product. We use YouScan for specific socio-political purposes that is why the most important things are the possibility identify trends, possibility to work with the big data. These our requests are satisfied with the product more over very client oriented position of the support team allows to solve all questions as prompt as it possible.

Cons

I can\`t say that we really suffer from absence some things that we need but it will be great to have the opportunity to work with even more complex reports. When we can download data with the author identification and full information about him. Now we can do that but in two different files - author report and general analytics. One more important thing - correct identification of the connotation. We really need it very much but now it is incorrect.

The tool provides powerful analytical capabilities that we use on a regular basis. For example, trends allow us to track if there are any emerging discussions that can potentially harm our brand. We can also easily work with data thanks to filters, as they categorize mentions by complaints, recommendations, comparisons, etc. The platform also has analytical dashboards that we can customize how we need and share with our c-level management.

There was a problem with the speed of history data collection, but recently the team significantly improved it.

We like that we only have to set everything up when we get started, and the system does the rest for us. Anytime we need, we can see real time analytics, also we've set up automatic sending of reports and alerts in case something may require our attention. Aspects in comparison with our competitors is a super valuable info. We were also impressed with how the system detects logos in the images.

Cons

For us as a startup, it used to be a relatively expensive tool, so we're glad YouScan has introduced smaller packages for SMBs.

First of all, it's cheap and easy to use. Also, YouScan allows to create and delete search themes and export mentions without limitations. Built-in metrics are useful for express analysis but other exported data can be used to create custom indexes and diagrams with ease. Rules tool simplifies navigation through heavy mentioned objects and helps to structure information within the theme.

Cons

A lot of useful tools don't have interface solution. For example: to set a time limit or search for a sentence with punctuation mark you need to type it into an address bar.
