Once you figure out how to build your assemblies the way that suits you, it is an incredible tool. March 25, 2025 5.0 I have tried other estimating software in the past and by far Patabid is the most user friendly with unbelievable customer support. I ask a question on how to do something and within minutes I have a response with a video on how to do it. They always follow up and offer a zoom tutorial if required. Not only do they have great customer support but they listen. I have mentioned to them on ways ( in my opinion) would make it better, shortly afterwards I get a notification that they have "updated" the program so it does what I had talked to them about. I have never heard of any software company that gives the support and listens to their clients like Patabid does. Good job and keep it! Pros Customer service is unreal, they respond to you and will even teach you on how to use it. Cons Nothing, any issues I have with it, they correct. I began looking into software to help me be faster and more organized. I looked a few options and settled on Patabid. It checked all the box's I thought I needed and extras that I didn't know I needed. Fast forward to today, and I use it for everything. We are winning projects and making money with it. The customer service is very quick with answers and help. They are constantly adding more and more components to the software and I would call it a robust program now. This software handles all of our estimating, from small residential renos to full commercial builds. I highly recommend Patabid to any electrical contractor that is looking for a good estimating software. Pros Its versatility. Drafting ability. I love that I can pick different labour units for each job we are estimating. Cons I don't have a direct complaint about Patabid. He was patient with me in starting and spent a lot of time answering questions and making sure I was ready. Any issues I’ve had were met with instant resolution. Pros As a new contractor the biggest benefit of using this software is knowing your estimates are done fairly and accurately using real time material cost and industry standard labor books. Cons I’d like to see a layers feature where certain items can be toggled on/off making it easier to complete the take off. Best example would be toggling wire which can get pretty busy. Small thing but cleaning up items/assemblies and quick pad so unneeded things aren’t listed. It doesn’t really affect my experience but at the start I was a bit confused navigating the endless lists. February 10, 2023 5.0 We went to NECA 2022 in search of an electrical estimating platform to use. We spoke to representatives of about 9 different software companies and settled on giving Quantify a try as the price point was better than 7 of the 9 and they are a Canadian company. Pros I like the ability to customize the software. From the way that takeoffs are done, the colours, shapes, even custom symbols that can be used. The fact that the Suderman Estimating labour manual is incorporated into the software is a plus as I am already familiar with it. The ability to create drawings for smaller projects is a nice bonus. Cons Yes, there are features that are missing. However they are either in the process of being added or have been added since I started using it. When I ask for a feature it is added or there is a good reason for it not being available. July 31, 2022 5.0 Pros One of our biggest challenges as a small electrical company was estimating, but everything changed when I found Quantify. The platform is truly amazing. I’m not great with computers, but I found the platform incredibly easy to use. This software helped me provide accurate estimates in a timely manner to clients and general contractors. The systems support I receive from Melvin is phenomenal. I emailed him on a Sunday and did not except a response until Monday, but he emailed me back right away to walk me through the process. After completing our first estimate we won the project and have received the next one to bid. I can’t stress enough how great the platform is and how amazing the team is behind it. Thanks to Quantify and the team, business is booming and estimating has never been so fun. Cons There truly was not one aspect that I did not like about Quantify.
