Pros: Barkly provides complete peace of mind from ransomware dangers. It sits lightly on workstations and servers watching like a guard dog for unwanted software behavior. Every strain and attack that has been in the news, Barkly has posted a blog entry showing how they block the attack in a lab environment. Their customer service is great and they have been very willing to work on and solve any issues that arise.

Cons: I have had a couple of situations where I would like to see Barkly in a small environment, though their licensing starts at 10 units.

Overall: Reliable security and peace of mind. I have an easy dashboard I can go to and assess that all of my computers are updated and in contact with Barkly, address any issues that arise and temporarily disable protection if I know I'm doing something Barkly sees as suspicious (some old software uninstalls, mainly).

Does a good job working in the background without relying on definitions.

Pros: I like that it does not rely on definition files and that it is good at detecting whether certain programs have suspicious behavior.

Cons: Machine learning still has a long way to go with false positives. Many legitimate programs are getting flagged still. For awhile nearly every driver I installed would get flagged, printers NIC drivers etc.

Simple straightforward and just works

Pros: The simplicity and reliability of it as well as the updates when a new threat comes up. I enjoy the dashboard that shows the active monitor and any issues that need addressed. The alerts when something is blocked are very useful as well.

Cons: That it blocks windows apps and I don't understand why. I wish the description of the alert was slightly more user friendly.

Pros: I like the ease of use and install. It's notifications always keeps you informed of what is going on.

Cons: There a quite a few things that need improvement. False positives seem to be common. It doesn't seem to update the database of overwritten false positives after it's first installed. So after installing, I always get a notification that the Photos App on Windows 10 was blocked.

Overall: I have realtime notifications and the ease of installations.

Pros: Barkly is easy to use and has a great cloud management portal. Its silent, unobtrusive, and doesn't bog down your system. Deployment is supper easy.

Cons: It blocks alot of genuine exe installs, its easy to override but still frustrating at times. Had a few incidents where i could not update through the web portal, or even uninstall an old client.

Pros: There are a lot of executable s that have been blocked . Sometimes its frustrating. Most of them are genuine, and the agent is quick, when you override. We haven't had any real crypto incidents, but i get peace of mind knowing that its there

Cons: There are a lot of false positives. Its not a bad thing as they are easy to override. I just wish there was a way that you could have a "system build that barkly could learn from" rather than blocking the same installer that we use on all our 100 machines, and i have to override every time .

Pros: The cloud-based management is great, very easy to navigate. We especially like how quickly an override can be set, pretty much point and click starting at the email notifications. Also the support has been great.

Cons: It is hard to find something I dislike about this product. The one thing I cannot seem to find and would like to see on the portal is the number of licenses available.

Installation and Rollout very simple and fast.

Pros: The dashboards and alerts give this product a very clean management interface. Install and rollout to each client got our environment protected faster.

Cons: Have gotten more false positives then I expected, but the overall coverage from threats is high when there is questionable processes running. Although bypassing these is very simple and each bypass covers all clients.

Overall: high leve lof threat protection to our client computers and servers.

Pros: The web portal is very simple and that is what I was looking for. Most other web managed AV software had a complicated interface with a lot of options and configuration steps. The ease of use for the Barkly product was straight forward and quick to use. It is easy to find the needed info about an endpoint. It does what it needs to do without alot of other frills to bog it down.

The product has incredibly low CPU & Memory overhead on the endpoints which has been a tremendous help for us. We were getting a lot of errors on systems due to the prior AV/Malware product pegging out CPU or Memory but Barkly does not impact system performance at all.

Cons: There are times when I would like to run a scan on a remote machine to make sure it is clean, but that does not seem to be an option through the interface. Maybe that is just not how the product is designed to work. Are there any plans on adding this function?

Overall: I highly recommend the software and have done so several times already.

I feel the product is very thorough in restricting malicious content

Pros: Easy to implement. Easy to install. Very light client. Love how Barkly monitors processes across user space, the OS, and the CPU to block attacks and gives our IT team instant visibility and alerts.

Cons: I feel that the endpoints are locked down too much. We had a user trying to open a photo in Microsoft Viewer and it was blocked.

Barkly is a much needed addition to our security portfolio and does the job well!

Pros: I love how Barkly works differently than our other security applications. It uses machine learning and characteristics for determining risk. This is much needed as malware is changing daily and offers us another line of defense with the never ending battle of preventing malware intrusion.

Cons: There are a few false positive as some Windows apps are not signed properly...this is more of an issue of Microsoft, but Barkly should watch out for packaged Windows apps. They have been great on working on this issue and that is why their customer support is five stars.

Overall: Peace of mind and ability to sleep well.

Pros: Very easy to setup and deploy. Also very little configuration required. Has been working great! Fairly inexpensive. The cloud management really streamlines things.

Cons: Not a full antivirus replacement in my opinion. But works great alongside our current antivirus program as a supplemental system and does catch things before our antivirus does. So this is not really a con for us.

Overall: Additional Peace of Mind!

Brakley has been a great addition to our security solution from deployment to ease of use.

Pros: Barkly catches activity that may bypass most AV solutions. Just today it flagged and stopped an email attachment that our end users tried to open. VirusTotal hadn't seen it before either. It stopped the code from activating so my AV solution didn't even have to deal with the program.

Ease of use on the control panel, from either my PC or mobile screens.

Good notification timing. Could be faster.

Constant improvement on the capabilities made by the Barkly team. Good work guys.

Cons: No ability to SMS yet. Have to use a ITTT service to get the emails to my SMS account.

No clear instructions on their website if a install/upgrade get botched over the weekend. Had to wait a few days to get the fix for the hung install/upgrade on a system.

Overall: Peace of mind (as much as we can get) from zero-day hits. Comfort knowing that should something try to gain a foothold into my clients systems

The software has been extremely helpful to stop users from installing software that they shouldn't.

Pros: The software is very easy to use. There are links within the website to the important topics. Its unbelievable how rare that is. When talking about a fix it provides links to it. If it talks about needing to white list something it links to it. Even when the instructions are not Barkly specific there are links to the other vendors website. I don't have to deal with the interface very often because everything works well but it is wonderful that I do not have to spend a great deal of time trying to troubleshoot an issue since the instructions are so easily available.

Cons: The software does block items that shouldn't be blocked. This can get frustrating for my users at times. Creating an exception is quick and straightforward though.

Pros: Super simple to deploy and a frontrunner when it comes to next gen protection.
Great customer support team and sales team. Went the extra mile to be sure we were happy and satisfied with the product - great follow-up, too. Extremely pleased with the ease of management and automatic updating of clients. This was a no-brainer for us to purchase and use. Love that fileless attacks will now be monitored while not hindering user performance and experience. So much more than a "regular" AV/Malware solution!

Cons: The only thing I wish Barkly did was protect Macs as well as PCs. We only have a few so it isn't as critical as some other environments, but it would be nice to have consistency. Everything else is wonderful!

Overall: Peace of mind knowing that we are protected on the file and fileless attack front. I can sleep at night now :)

Pros: I have been using Barkley for about a year and a half, they are upgrading their software to meet threats before most of the treats are known to the public. We had ransomware hit my servers 3 time before we started using Barkley and it has blocked several threats since we installed their software. It is a product that I highly recommend.

Cons: I honestly cannot think of a negative response, Barkley does exactly what it is designed to do. It stops malware and ransomware in it's tracks.

Pros: I love how lightweight and unobtrusive this software is - installation is simple, monitoring from a single pane of glass is easy, and alerting is great. It is also super easy to override false positives even from your phone - makes life good for the IT person who doesn't want to be strapped to their desk. It has caught a few things on my system already with no issues

Cons: Like I said very light weight. It doesn't sit in the task bar and it also doesn't actively scan. This is great for your system resources, but those old school folks who like to see the icon and get bogged down once a week when a full system scan starts running may take a little convincing. It is also very protective - false positives while not common do occur. They are easily overridden but can hold things up at first

Overall: Easy anti-virus protection for my users and servers.
