The reminders, calendar invites, are also crucial. Pros The ease and sophistication of this program is top notch - instead of having to wait for restaurant hours/during their rush hours to call and make a reservation you're able to cut time + do it all online. May 12, 2023 5.0 It saves us time to make our reservations quickly on the App versus calling into a restaurant where you'll probably wait on hold for a bit. Pros OpenTable is so easy to use. We use our OpenTable App for all of our restaurant reservations (as long as they use open table). Cons I have not found a negative about using the App so far. I guess the only negative is that not all restaurants use OpenTable. Pros I really appreciate how well this produce works for the guests that dine at our restaurants. It seems to be a seamless interface for the end user. Cons This product is SO hard to customize and nearly impossible to use for data from a marketing standpoint. We've tried and tried to get correct information to collect and use, but to no avail. OpenTable requires me to provide minimal information, which makes it incredibly quick to reserve a table. In the rare couple of times that I’ve had to put a credit card down to reserve my spot, I’ve never had an issue with the payment systems. Availability alerts is also a complete gamechanger. I'm already up to a $50 amazon gift card! Pros It is SO easy to make a reservation. I just click on the time and then BOOM I'm reserved. I can look at the menu options, reviews, ratings, photos... it has been great because I love to look at menus of new restaurants. I also love how you can add someone to the reservation Cons I wish there was a notification that would tell you a reservation opened up. There are so many times when I want to go to a specific restaurant and they're booked. If I could toggle on a notification to let me know a time has opened up, that would be wonderful. As someone who isn't a fan of phone calls, I love that I can easily find available reservations and make updates and edits as I go. Cons Sometimes OpenTable will show availability but then it will be gone when I go to book it, or it will only show a small amount of openings but when I call there's more. It it extremely easy and I always feel confident about the reservations placed. Open Table takes the worry out of making reservations and makes it easy and fun! Pros Open Table makes it super easy to make reservations without having to call and wait to talk to someone at the restaurant and then confirm once you get to the restaurant. With Open Table, I pick the date and available times and get an email from them as confirmation. I can add the event to my phone calendar and share it with my guests as well. Open Table also provides restaurants to try in my area and beyond and I have tried new places that way. Cons I love using Open Table. Pros Opentable is everyone's method for making fast and convenient reservations. It's unpredictable to talk to a human, and I've found people like the point values they accumulate. OpenTable is worth it because if you have tourists in your neighborhood they will come based on the tools you have Cons two things a) No one reviews restaurants on opentable; they should import yelp reviews. Yelp has more reviews and is more accurate b) opentable charges a hefty penny for its use. Also, if you accept the open table checks, the guests who use them dont always tip the full amount of their bill, stiffing the staff. Review Source SS Samantha S. Pros I like that I am able to book a reservation without having to call the restaurant. It also sends reminders via text or email and allows for easy ways to access information about the restaurant. Cons Sometimes I feel that there are not many available options that correlate with the actual times available after calling the restaurant themselves or the restaurant has overbooked at times. Pros Writing this review from the consumer side, as one who has often used it make reservations. OpenTable has definitely been the first place I turn when making reservations for my teams in the field, just before hitting the phones. OpenTable makes it extremely easy to find restaurants in a given area, either by zip code, by neighborhood, or by current location. I love being able to narrow by cuisine, by party number, by time of day, and by price. Love that it generates calendar events. Cancellations and reschedules are easy. Reviews are helpful when they are available. Integration between the app and the website is seamless. Cons Honestly, no significant complaints about OpenTable other than that other reservations services have arrived on the scene (Resy, etc) , and occasionally I have to turn to them to make reservations. From a seating system to online reservation system, it supports the flow of the restaurant. It provides features that allows us to keep up with guests requests, VIPs, referrals and even integrates with our email provider for marketing. It is a great overall tool. Pros It is very user friendly for guests and admins. It is easy to navigate and flows very well. Makes the experience better for everyone. Cons It works very well and there are not any current functions that we are looking for that is not provided. Before OpenTable, I'd have to call around and often wait on hold until a host could answer my call. With OpenTable, I can easily see which times a restaurant has availability, and book a reservation in seconds. Pros I love that OpenTable allows me to make a reservation in seconds anytime, anywhere. OpenTable shows me what times I'll be able to book a table (or shows me if I need to find another restaurant with more availability). Cons I have zero complaints about OpenTable. Additionally, the applications integration with Google calendar makes creating reminders for my reservations a breeze. The best feature in the integration with the calendar you utilize, and the mobile accessibility. Cons There isn't a feature that is disappointing with OpenTable, but they should try to get contracted with more places to touch as many audiences as possible. I haven't called a restaurant in a few years since this program tells me whether or not there will be a table when I need it. When those "spur of the moment" plans come up, I can see which restaurants have availability and immediately choose one that can accommodate my party. Pros This program has been a big part of both my business and personal life. Whether it be a business lunch or a family dinner, Open Table is incredibly easy to use when making reservations. If I know the restaurant, I can request a special table or booth, which is a feature I love. PM Retail Used the software for: 2+ years ### "Reservations made easy! " January 20, 2022 4.0 I like it. I've had a great experience and the customer support is very helpful when i needed it. Pros the fact that i can make reservations at restaurants i want to dine at , they have a good list of restaurants and i've always found the ones i was interested in. Cons Sometimes the restaurant open times are not accurate. I once made a reservation for a brunch and when i ended up at the restaurant , it was closed. Turns out it's closed for service on saturdays and only does brunches on sundays. Open table reached out to me that i made a no-show but i had zero fault. Making sure accurate restaurant open times are listed in the app will prevent such events. That being said, i will still continue to use Opentable in the future.
