Very positive, coming from an old QTP background it is nice to know there are more than worthy contenders out there.

Pros

The ease of use to automate desktop, web and mobile applications. Working in C# is also well received, having a background in .NET

Cons

Setup to run a test can be a little complicated upon first use, but is no longer challenging once you understand how it all works.

With the recording modules feature it is extremely easy to get started. Also the code module allowed me to make use of my C# experience to make my my company's tests quite flexible.

Cons

The documentation on the functions that you can use with code modules is very spars. More examples would be nice.

Overall its pritty good but it seems to have problems with slower pcs and running on virtual machines.

The spy is awesome. Test suite is easy to use and readable

Cons

it doesnt work perfectly on slow pcs or virtual machines integration with other ide's could be better Visual Sutidio and Rider for example

We were trying to sort out time it took to test our software, this failed as the Ranorex was not easy to use with it.

Pros

User interface was ok, easy to sort projects apart.

Cons

I didn't like at all the negotiations from Ranorex side when they requested us to update license.

Overall Ranorex is good too to use in automation.

Pros

Easy to use,Leaner test suite structure,Ability to access Selenium with the powerful Ranorex tools,JUnit compatible reports,Enhanced WPF plug-in, News updates on Ranorex Studio start page.

Cons

Sometimes Ranorex Freezes the other windows, observed multiple time.

So, far it's been a great experience.

Pros

Easy to use, especially for entry level folks. Of course once all the methods have been implemented. Also, a very useful tool are the WebMeetings, that are hosted by Ranorex engineers. I've joined several, along with other colleagues and they have helped.

Cons

There is a learning curve, but the more you use it, the more it makes sense.

Recording gets stuck at times and then it becomes hard to navigate. Only way is to kill the session and start again.

This is by far a great product that is easy, cost effective and a winner in my book, the only thing is that my team was not up to par to utilize it for the simple tasks I had originally looked at....I better sign up for continued education, LOL!
