Pros I've used a few services for uptime monitoring. I have found Freshping to be more reliable at detecting donwtime than some of the other services. The service is offered for a great price and the team is active and supportive which is great! Cons The design and feel to the site could be a little better but it's not a big issue. Pros It provides a really good value for their free tier. We may look into upgrading but for now, looks like our monitoring needs are well fit into the free tier. I manage multiple locations and to have Freshping monitor and notify me of internet outages is excellent. Cons Integration with Freshservice needs to be improved. Instead of multiple tickets in Freshservice, the integration should utilize the Freshservice Alert system instead of creating tickets. Review Source Mason G. Service is feature-rich, easy to use, reliable and gives us added peace of mind. We'll definitely be recommending to others! Cons So far, no complaints! They also have very tiered pricing, including free and trial options for start-up projects to take advantage and as they grow they can up their game and productivity. We can get alerts as notifications to know exactly when the site is down. Cons Nothing as of now, its working pretty well for me on all the metrics. May 17, 2018 5.0 Easy monitoring straight to slack which makes it nice and simple to check service uptime. Pros I like the fact that I can integrate this service in Slack to monitor domain names and server hostnames and be alerted via the Slack mobile app so I can easily pick up alerts and resolve any issue with minimal downtime or before someone alerts me something is down. Cons I have noticed a couple of false alarms with this system where it says a domain name is not responding but when checking it is up - this could be because I'm on the free plan with a 5 minute check up period. Fresh ping was the most reliable and can't beat the price! Pros It's free. It's easy to setup. From tests with other similar tools, Fresh ping has come out of top for the most important feature for me, reliability. Cons Nothing so far. I've been using it over 6 months. Would recommend it to smaller teams and anyone who has not yet a monitoring setup. This comes as first aid but is so much more with premium features available already in free plan. Pros Really easy setup time, you have your dashboard an reporting setup in no time. Also great that you can give a link to a status board to other people (e.g. customers or other teams). Cons Only based in the U.S. so all request originate from the U.S. - unfortunately, our market will be Germany only for quite some time. Also, sometimes alerts take some time. Most Importantly I was in search of something free or economical. Pros It is amazing to see that the free version lets us to do decent monitoring of many domains and quickly pings an alert incase of an error has. It also allows to make our uptile public which is really great to gain customers trust and confidence.
