It has been amazing. Pros Dashboard features make this a very easy product to use. Cons Like anything, there is a bit of a learning curve especially on the administration end, but nothing that isn't corrected with training. So far I have been very happy with EGrAMS (OLGA). Pros OLGA is pretty easy for most of our users. Occasionally we will have someone that struggles, but that's rare. And when we do have a problem, the OLGA manager is VERY responsive to questions and helps us out quickly. Cons We are still developing our grant application and so there are some steps that are still being polished. This is only our second year with this new application, but I think it will be great in another year or so...once we work out all the kinks. EGRAMS has a wealth of information stored within the systems database. Our Department has been able to customize reporting functionality for our Department’s needs, which include Programmatic and Financial along with special data pulls that assist in out monthly FFATA reporting to the Federal Government. With EGrAMS we’ve be able to process a complete Grant Application to Agreement in as little as 3 day, which is unheard of our paper processing. Pros EGrAMS – Electronic Grants Administration and Management System offers the Department a complete grant lifecycle system and allows our Department to manage all our grant programs in one central location. With EGrAMS we have been able to convert over 200 grant programs from our manual (paper processing) to electronic processing. Using EGrAMS our Department can customize grant programs to meet all Federal and State requirements, along with our ability to enforce Department business rules with easy configuration. EGrAMS allows for easy customization and configurability of Emails / Forms / Templates / Agreements. Since EGrAMS generates an Agreement (Contract) this has reduced the agreement review time in half. Analyst can focus more on grantee content of the agreement, instead of re-reviewing standard agreement language for changes. The Vendor offers excellent customer support Cons Overall, my experience has been very positive. This system has helped reduce my workload. Win Win. Cons Would like to see some improvements in the flow, navigation and look and feel of the front facing forms, additional functionality for batch record processing when working with large number of applications/grants, as well as possible custom reporting module to accommodate data analysis. Pros The system is able to handle every aspect of our grant management program including application submission, monthly bills, budget adjustments, annual reports and year-end closing activities. The ability to customize is also a great feature that we use regularly due to changes in program policy, etc. Cons Overall, my experience has been very positive. If I had one wish, it would be to change how users access program documents and notifications. EGrAMS allows the Department flexible to customize the grant programs to meet the requirements of our funding sources. EGrAMS grant programs are configured by employees at the Department. This allows the Department to have more control over the grant lifecycle and timelines. This allows the Department the flexibility to issue allocated grants and competitive grants throughout the year. EGrAMS builds a database based on grant applications and post award reporting of details that enable us to build reports and monitor the progress of the applications and grant award. EGrAMS includes Financial and Programmatic progress reporting. Payment are processed based on the Financial Reports and interfaced to the States accounting system. EGrAMS allows employees to build customized statistical reports. EGrAMS generates an Agreement based on the fields from the application. This allows for us to customize and populate agreement templates to include Department specific agreement terms and conditions. The vendor is very easy to work with. They are knowledgeable about grant and accounting process and provide excellent customer service.
