### "Canvas is Excellent!"

Canvas is fantastic and very flexible--though this often puts pressure on me, as a professor, to put extra time into designing the site (often time I don't have).

Pros

Canvas is far easier to use than its competitors. It is fairly intuitive and attractive. I don't teach remote courses at present, but its format works very well as a supplement to classroom work.

Cons

It can be draining to set up assignments in Canvas, especially when one is (as I am) teaching multiple iterations of the same class. While it is possible to import assignments from one class to another, this is often a draining and confusing process and I ordinarily opt for simply re-creating the same assignment two or three times.

Individuality and a team that can consistently help with issues, planning, managing and designing our site and posts.

Pros

The individuality of it, the ability to constantly change, adapt and upgrade our site. The pop up box calling out a special or event on the home page.

Cons

Somethings that I would like to be able to change/update myself on certain pages seem complicated even after viewing the "help" on them and I am worried that I will mess that page of the site up and not be able to undo it.

It was great as a student at a local college as it enabled me to complete my degree while some classes were online instead of in person. Easy to use but with all of its features it does need better training information for students.

Pros

I used this program while completing my doctoral degree. It was easy to use and enabled me to use it from any location such as school and home. It was easy to take assignments and assessments via this software. This software was very user friendly even for someone who is not skilled in technology.

Cons

Canvas has many features but as a student, I was not trained well in all of them, and thus did not even know they were there often. A more useful help button or some aspect for self-training is needed.

Overall I loved using it in college, so I now use it with my staff!

Pros

My first experience using Canvas was in college, it was the chosen software of the University. Easy and organized way to keep up with assignments and interact with classmates group or individual work. It saves assignment and anything donr for years! Interacting with my professors was SUPER easy as well!

Cons

I couldn't figure out how to get alerts other than in my email about assignments and messsges. I got myself in a habot to chevk daily, but easy to set alerts would have been awesome!

It's good overall. Smooth operating, accessible via computer or mobile app. Easy to check grades, coursework, and upload files when necessary.

Pros

I like that grades, courses, and groups are so easy to find. The mobile app is really accessible and sends notifications when my work is being graded.... which is nerve-wracking but cool!

Cons

I don't like the Canvas video call options... the video seemed like it was always a bad connection. Maybe it was my internet at the time but I didn't like it.

Pros

Canvas allows teachers to easily build online courses for their students. This learning management system is a simple design that looks up to date.

Cons

In my perspective, I found that Canvas learning management software is best for upper level elementary students. I would not recommend for younger learners because it may be difficult to navigate.

Overall, I prefer it to previous platforms I have used in the past, such as Blackboard.

Pros

Canvas has been easier to use with its multitude of features as a student and as a professional taking courses for professional development purposes. It was especially useful for keeping me on track with deadlines as I have quite a busy schedule.

Cons

I wish it offered more personalization on the user's end. I could not change the graphics or the layout, which would have been helpful as sometimes professors do not spend enough time perfecting their own class's layout.

Well, it enables me to teach on line. My school uses it. And, maybe it was instructor, who said early on that the beauty of online education was the student could teach themselves...and that's how it was here. I was basically left to figure everything out on Canvas myself...and there's an enormous amount to figure out. I kept having to go to the Canvas online support site...and never found anything there to help me. Could either not find anything at all related to what I was looking for, or found the wrong thing. YouTube was a lot more help that Canvas itself.

Pros

It's ability to lay out everything for students

Cons

Difficulty in use. Impossiblity to find help on line from the canvas help sight

I have been able to access material presented to me or created by me for years.

Pros

Canvas is a great tool for managing classes for all ages. Many school districts are using it to teach remotely. I have had more experience using it as an adult learner for professional development. So in essence I have used it as a teacher and a student. I think this is a good platform for learners of many different age groups.

Cons

It has so many functions, that at times, I find it difficult to locate what I need. The functions are there, but accessing them can seem challenging at first.

I really like the flow of canvas and feel it allows me to be more creative with the content because I don't waste a ton of time trying to get the everything in the right place like I have with other software.

Pros

This software is so much more user friendly than other learning management systems I have used. I am completing my masters currently in nursing education and we just learned how to design a course using the Canvas program and it is definitely more intuitive than other programs I have experienced such as BlackBoard or Moodle.

Cons

The mobile version is slightly more difficult to navigate, however I only really needed to use it in rare instances so not a big deal.

I signed up for Canvas because of a side hustle that required art. After making a few attempts with it, I opted for another program that I already knew better. I still plan on working with it but have to take more time to learn.

Pros

Canvas offers a lot of versatility in pictures and design. It appears to be suitable for those with higher creative minds.

Cons

It doesn't appear to offer anything for quick projects and, for me, is a bit difficult to learn. It doesn't appear to offer a lot of basics I find in my computer photo editor.

Canvas has made life easier for me and people I work with because when you can’t be face to face you can still get things done

Pros

Since the Covid-19 pandemic I’ve been using Canvas for trainings for work related things. It’s awesome because I don’t have to physically get up and go into work and risk getting sick I can do my trainings from home.

Cons

I have only been using canvas for a couple months but so far I haven’t come across any issues while using Canvas

I liked the software overall. I didn’t have to learn much to use it so it’s very user friendly and fast.

Pros

I think canvas because it as easy to use as any collage app and a small professional as photoshop. I used to have to take 2 hours out of my day to create a simple but creative flyer for my events, but with canvas I create flyers fast and effective. The easy Drag and Drop function helps soooo much. They easy to use layout/template can be customized and best of all its free if you don’t require upgrades. I use it once or twice a month so the free option is within my budget.

Cons

I suppose my only con is the upgraded part. But this software really works well. It’s effective and useful. I couldn’t t find the undo function but maybe that’s in upgrade.

Solving certain pandemic-related issues. Very effective.

Pros

I like how easy it makes all the tasks it can perform. A lot of programs with that many features are overwhelming; this is not. It has been impactful during the pandemic and very helpful.

Cons

The user interface could be improved. I feel like that is a common complaint with stuff, but there is always a gap there between the engineers who built something and the end user. Still very effective though.
