It was before the age of “selfies being normal or common”. Skype is fascinating to be able to both see and hear who one calls. It gives the users the capacity to virtually be in two rurally different specific realities at the sane time together, from differing viewpoints inclusive of the sharing and exchanging of sight and sound. Skype is easy to use and was somewhat the exemplifying leader prior to Apple FaceTime and Facebook Messenger. Cons Skype I can only be used with others who also have an active Skype account.
