February 4, 2023 5.0 Collaboration, editing tools, deployment simplicity, and sharing on other platforms, including WeVideo, help establish your own identity. The typefaces were also fantastic. The simple UI was easy to adjust. I'm happy that I bought this program. Pros My younger brother just asked me to provide exclusive video footage for their college presentation. And I'm pleased to highlight WeVideo, a tool I utilized to produce the video material. WeVideo's facilities for editing recorded videos, adding audio and text, and adding graphic effects were quite helpful as always. Collaboration was also an option, giving me more goals I could pursue. This program makes it much easier to produce quality video footage. Cons It would be more beneficial if we could investigate more modification possibilities, such as adding text fonts other than the ones that are now included. But for the provider, making such upgrades is not difficult. I hope there will soon be more relevant updates. Teacher Education Management Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "Worst experience with a video editing program" September 22, 2024 1.0 Pros Fairly simple to use once you play around with the program for a bit. Cons First of all, It was not made clear how much publishing time was available for a free account until after I had spent hours editing a video. Second of all, I paid for a monthly subscription (30 minutes of publishing time per month). After I exported my first video (around 9 minutes), I saw that the video did not match the preview. Text and video was missing/cut off. I edited the video and tried to export it again. Video and text was still deleted even though the preview showed that everything was fine. Tried a third time, same problem. By my fourth time, I had used up my monthly publishing time. So now, I have a video with missing/incomplete content and no way to fix it unless I choose to pay more money. I am cancelling this subscription immediately. Review Source AM Amr M. The video editor user interface is easy to navigate and use. Also, the screen recording, webcam recording, and the green screen features are super vital for video tutorials. The assets library has a variety of media types and content categories. And the export features allow exporting videos in high-quality and minimal file size. Cons The video transitions library has a limited number and old fashion transitions. Also, the feature of adding text to videos has limited design capabilities. You need a good internet connection to use it smoothly. The interface is good. I love that it supports Arabic language. The rendering is quite good. If they gave an option to upload fonts, It would make text and titles look even better. The split shortcut (S) gives a lot of flexibility and speed. Cons No outline or shadow on the text. I do it manually but it takes a lot of time. If they can add this feature, they would get more customers. Adding more keyboard shortcuts would make editing faster. Support is slow. Somtimes the exports can take some time depending on the queue. Using it with students for projects and morning announcements has been easy and fun, and it has even inspired some students to look more into video editing. The range of tools is great, and users can choose to dive in with greenscreen effects, stock footage, and more, or take a less overwhelming approach and use the simple video capture tool to take short videos and post it. Pros WeVideo is an excellent tool for video editing, both for those who are experienced in editing and those who are newer. The tool has several different modes, with the "Storyboard" mode showing a simpler window for those who are new, whereas the "Timeline" mode displays the editing screen in a similar way to many other editing tools. The software can easily click videos together and overlay text, stock images/videos, music, and more with an easy-to-use library and video track system. Working with others on the tool is also easy by creating a "Shared Project". There is even a classroom option for teachers to work with their students! It was my my first exposure to video editing and while it took me a week to make a professional looking video, it helped me realize that I actually enjoy the process a lot. I personally found it helpful to storyboard my film before going into WV, as it made the editing process quicker. I wouldn't recommend WV for people who are new to video editing or aren't really interested in it, because there is a learning curve that can be frustrating. But for those who want to get their feet wet before jumping into a more expensive software, WeVideo is an excellent place to start. Cons While We Video allowed me to upload my own clips, audio, and photos, I still had to edit all files (adjusting sound bites, video cutting, etc), before uploading as those features aren't part of the free plan. Cons As a professional video editor, WeVideo doesn't offer many of the advanced features that I've grown accustomed to, such as keyframe animation and color grading.
