August 11, 2024 5.0 I needed a way for potential customers to independently access a trailer in a gallery setting with little to no support for an 8-week period and OptiSigns did the trick. Will us again and happy to recommend. Pros OptiSigns provided a perfect solution for our art show's interactive iPad kiosk. It was easy to set up, secure, and customizable. The platform allowed us to display our trailer on-demand while restricting other functions. Paired with Apple's Guided Access, it offered a branded, intuitive experience that ran smoothly for 8 weeks, even without on-site supervision. Highly recommend for similar projects. Cons Two minor issues: Membership upgrades were slightly confusing, and fine-tuning video timing worked better on the website than the mobile app. Despite these small hiccups, I'm very satisfied overall. Pros It is very easy to use and has great templates to help design your messages. Cons Customer support could be better. Case in point: I have an issue that is still unresolved after multiple attempts. When I asked for additional assistance, I kept getting directed to existing videos (which didn't help). I don't need much help, but when I do it's mildly frustrating because the knowledge base needs refining (and so far, the support staff just quotes the knowledge base when I ask for assistance). Pros We chose OptiSigns because it not only allows us to design multi-field screens, but the method of doing so was by far the easiest compared to its competitors -- we didn't have to learn coding or do complicated math to understand the proportions for each visual, etc. Cons 1) The knowledge base materials need proofreading. It's adequate, but needs refining to be truly useful (grammar, lingo, etc). It also needs to go deeper -- if I am looking in the knowledge base, I have a specific problem and need more than a basic tutorial. 2) It is difficult to schedule content with different publication lengths. The knowledge base wasn't helpful (reasons stated in #1) and the support person, while polite, also used lingo straight from the knowledge base that wasn't helpful. Alternatives considered [TelemetryTV](https://www.capterra.com/p/182701/TelemetryTV/) Reason for choosing OptiSigns The ONLY reason we chose OptiSigns is because Telemetry's multi-field screens required coding knowledge and/or complicated math. We have a company intranet site and needed a simple way to showcase ongoing content in our office lunchrooms. Pros The versatility of the platform. It's very easy to edit content showing on different screens and playlists. The integrated Canva feature is also extremely helpful in creating fun and appealing content. Changes are made instantly, very little to no lag time. Cons Wish I could just drag and drop files directly into the site when uploading content. Instead, I always have to click on the "+ New" button and search through my folders to add in a PDF or image. Review Source CW Cooper W. We also move through product rather quickly, so the ease of use when changing the screens is a very nice feeling. Cons The app itself is a bit unreliable in the sense that there isn't an option to keep it open for a set amount of time. It's very easy to implement into new signage setups, or integrate into existing solutions. Cons The UI for building signage isn't the most intuitive. After some messing around you can definitely get the hang of it, but I feel like it could be made a bit easier to get the hang of.
