It is so much more advanced than our old system and the support for technology challenged people like me is quick and easy to understand! Pros I receive files from many different areas of the company to post on the monitors. The ease of drag and drop and the ability to use several types of files (pdf; jpeg; pp, etc) has been very helpful for me. Cons I haven't mastered the playlist yet. But if I could schedule an item independently to run only on some days and not others without having to create a Monday playlist and a Tuesday, Wednesday etc. That would be great. ex: If I add a file I could assign it to several days. I believe I need to create a playlist for each day to do this. Pros I've tried \* SignPresenter \* Yodeck \* I have found OptiSigns to be the best solution so far. The Canva templates help out to get the broadcast up and rolling quickly. Although it takes a bit getting used to, the scheduling of TVs and Playlists has allowed us to turn TVs off at night and/or provide music for patients to listen to as they sleep at night (by providing a playlist from YouTube). Cons I use the Amazon FireStick on 12 different TVs with 2 different organizations and still found a solution for including live TV even after talking with technical support at . This would be the only reason we would consider another solutions. Reason for choosing OptiSigns I found that had more flexibility and management of the playlists by person. Our tech guy told me about the product when we had an extra television mounted in the club that I was just going to put a cable box on and he showed me that we could advertise our programs, products and services simply with Optisign. Only been using it for a month. The web site is fairly easy to use. The devices in the field are very unreliable and high maintenance. Having so many issues that was actually print important issues and post near the monitors. We now expect and plan for failure of these devices. Pros The pre-made pages that I can add to our feed. They address relevant topics like heat and hydration. Cons Very high maintenance. I am constantly driving around the property resetting devices. Pros Digital signage is everywhere and has been in the space for years now it's come a long way with how easy implementation is. is a big part of that, its affordability was important but I had a full digital signage solution setup in-store in under an hour (content creation aside). There are a lot of options on the market but for small businesses, this is a no-brainer...cheap and works with pretty much every media I've thrown at it. No need to spend expensive money on players when you can use the FireTV Stick and have a fairly inexpensive solution setup in under an hour. Cons Nothing thus far, has hit all the touch points I've needed for a digital signage solution. This is a great option for the low cost, and it works with any Amazon Fire device, so I didn't even have to buy any new TVs or devices in order to start using the software. The templates are fairly useful, but there is a little room for improvement with the slide editor, it would be great if the editor worked on mobile devices. The text editor is a bit buggy in my opinion, but overall I am able to get everything working for me. I love that you can import slides from PowerPoint and One Drive, so if you find the OptiSign editor a bit restrictive you can always use another program and import the images. I think it would be helpful if some of the design elements they have in the templates were editable (like if there is a background image color splash, you could change the color, or select design elements from a menu like the icons). I love the Scheduler, the playlists, and how it all updates automatically everywhere you have a slide when you update the slides. They've done really well at thinking of all the little things you might want to do and providing tools in all the interfaces to enable you to do things like duplicate a slide or playlist, rename them, edit the timing, etc. Cons I think it would be helpful if some of the design elements they have in the templates were editable (like if there is a background image color splash, you could change the color, or select design elements from a menu like the icons). Pros It's easy to use so users can learn the system quickly. There are videos to train. Creating multiple playlists is very useful as you can change content very quickly when paired with the scheduling feature. Cons When creating a playlist, you can add files, but they aren't organized in the files/assets, so it becomes disorganized. Easily solved by adding files/assets before adding them to the playlists, it's just an order of doing things. If I could make a recommendation it would be great to be able to add Spotify of Pandora connectivity so I could have it play a playlist on top of my display. Pros The fact that is worked with my firesticks and didn't shut off after 2 hours. I tried other solutions and the displays would keep powering off. Overall it's one of the best solutions we found to quickly deploy and easily operate digital signage. Cons Sometimes wished the content design section of the platform offered more sophisticated tools and design elements. But it works well for 90% of the screens we need on the signage. Before implementing , we were physically updating USB drives across all TVs, I was manually converting files to make sure the videos/images would stay on screen long enough and were the right dimensions, and I was also informing all locations when to update their tvs. All of this is now managed by me with the click of a button. Pros The cost compared to other solutions is very affordable. Their integration with GoogleTV as well as the Windows agent makes the system easy to setup and use. Cons There is a limit on the storage space available in the cloud. I would have preferred to only use GoogleTV but the video content I needed to use was too large. However, using the Windows agent and the local folder option makes for a very simple work around.
