Pros OptiSigns allows for the creation of multiple playlists that can be easily managed and scheduled to play on multiple digital displays. The benefit of being able to add a presentation, a YouTube video, an image, and other types of media and content to a playlist makes OptiSigns an amazingly versitile product. I am able to create schedules not just for playlists, but for my devices as well, allowing me to manage my devices remotely. Cons There was a little bit of a learning curve when it comes to scheduling, but was able to work through the process and successfully learn the process. Review Source LD Luke D. I was able to create an account and broadcast my first digital signage within minutes. Our test signage station has been running for four days without a single issue. Pros OptiSigns has all the critical components my marketing department's been looking for. We use OptiSigns app on Fire Sticks to display "digital posters". The ability for the app to launch automatically on startup is an important feature since many of our signage stations are deployed remotely at various locations. The ability to assign expiration dates on assets is also very important. This feature is useful because expired assets will stop broadcasting even while assigned to a live playlist. The app will work with or without wifi by caching contents onboard the device, very important at locations with unstable wifi. Cons The option to move assets and playlists from folder to folder is available but I wish it was a simple drag and drop feature. Additionally, the ability to adjust thumbnail preview of assets would be a nice feature. This would be helpful when setting expiration dates for certain images to be able to see the Information on a larger thumbnail preview. Even more to be able to make playlist and add widgets. Cons Im not sure if there is even an option for this, but i can't find anything that would automatically turn on and off the tvs if given a schedule. November 10, 2023 5.0 Pros OptiSigns was easy to learn and easy to train others. The basic features are intuitive (creating a playlist, assigning a screen, uploading content, etc) and the user interface is well-designed. I'm used to having a learning curve with all software I use and I really didn't have much to learn with OptiSigns - it just made sense, and I feel confident I can have another team member take over my OptiSigns duties when I'm out and that they will understand how to do what they need to do. Cons OptiSigns is great for basic features but lacks some amount of advanced features from what I've noticed. For example, in creating a playlist there are only a few options for slide transitions, and beyond that very little ability to customize the content beyond the number of seconds each slide plays for. I used to use Canva integrated into OptiSigns, but I don't anymore because when I use Canva within Opti it doesn't show my organizations saved projects from my Canva account, despite me being logged in to that Canva account. It shows a very limited, Canva-lite view of your normal Canva account. It'd make it faster if I could access everything in my Canva account directly from OptiSigns. November 6, 2023 5.0 OptiSigns honestly makes elements of my job much, much easier than it would be without the program. I'm very thankful I can create and share things with such ease and so quickly. It can take less than 10 minutes for me to design a new message with very specific branding and visual elements, completely from scratch, and then broadcast it to a gigantic audience on multiple screens. SUCH a time saver. Pros OptiSigns is relatively easy to use for designing content within the program (save for hiccups you might experience if you encounter internet issues), and incredibly easy when uploading content that's already been created. The fact that it's incredibly easy to schedule and broadcast content as we see fit is huge. Cons Sometimes I encounter some difficulties when designing from scratch in the design space, but these are remedied quickly. It's not a perfect system, but it's as close as you can probably get outside of other Adobe software and design programs. Reason for choosing OptiSigns N/A. I created my account and one day a client came in and love my screens so much that she purchased a TV for her office and a firestick and hired me to create slides for her display every month. She even referred me to other clients who are now Optisigns customers and they hire me to create slides for their digital displays. Pros I love the option of being able to create screens remotely. Not only do I have an Optisign's account I manage screens for other clients. Cons Nothing I love Optisigns. Its looks very professional and my clients love it! OptiSigns is by far the easiest to manage, update and has SEVERAL integration options that allow us to display real-time data to our employees. Cons We use amazon fire TV and fire sticks. Sometimes (maybe once a month or so) the devices has to be restarted because it freezes. I'm tech savvy but most of our team isn't, so it was critical for us to consider ease of use first and foremost. OptiSigns was by far the best candidate and we've been extremely pleased with our decision! Pros Multiple users, drag-and-drop interface, granular customizability on scheduling, content, and duration, and lots of easy ways to fill playlist time and make adjustments. Powerful, simple to use, and every feature in the book. Couldn't ask for more! Cons At times, files have upload issues that aren't clear enough to determine a fix - most of the time this is an issue on our end with OneDrive, but a generic error makes it tough to troubleshoot. It's been a great tool to be able to effectively get our messages across. The plus is that it's a cloud based app and not a device you have to purchase to use. This allows me to remotely control my playlists with real time updates rather than downloading a playlist that could take a day to update. Pros It's easy to use, easy to manage, and allows me to get good information infront of my guests and my team Cons It doesn't come without it's glitches. Canva is an App I use most for playlist content and it's frustrating that it doesn't work better- no moving graphics, can't actually login and it pull from your playlist library, etc. Google reviews are also something we wish we could use but they don't play the content you want them to. The weather app and Instagram will often cause glitches on the playlist unless you update them regularly. What made it specifically outstanding is the deep integration in the microsoft products like PowerBI. Also noteworthy is the good support that we have received from Optisigns whenever we had any issues. Cons While the software is really good, it is not easy to find a hardware device that is really suitable for the use with optisigns and have industry grade support for it. While optisigns does offer hardware solutions aswell (and they work really good in our experience), they have to be shipped from the US and do not include any kind of service.
