Pros I love the remote management and how clean and user friendly the interface is. I also like the many supported platforms that supports. Cons I don't love the per device licensing, but they at least make it easy to transfer devices. December 7, 2023 5.0 is an amazing service for managing in store displays! Pros allows me to control and manage multiple screens from anywhere. It's powerful, flexible, and looks great. Customer service is quick, responsive, professional and helpful. I can't recommend them enough. Cons There's not much not to like. We had an issue with playback on the built in Google TV app, but that was a TV memory issue, rather than , and customer service was still able to help before my OptiSign sticks came in. We haven't been able to get our devices up and running but I am anxious to get the devices working. The system seems like it is fairly simple to use once we can activate. Cons So far the activation of the devices has been a little frustrating. We followed the on line video and couldn't activate the devices. Our previous tech company had all our logins and had configured our TV for us. Now that we have Optisigns' software, we are in the driver's seat! PLUS we can link our Instagram feed and customize our playlists. So much better than just a Google slide on our TV! Pros We all want our patrons to know what is new to the library and what programming is coming up. Digital signage makes that easy. makes it easier! Creating playlists by dragging and dropping uploaded images, weather widgets and videos is simple and intuitive. We used a Firestick 4K with our existing TV and we were up and running in minutes! Cons The website does use the same color for all of its information and boxes which causes my eye to wander a bit, trying to grab hold of something I'm looking for. A secondary color to indicate tasks I've already worked on would be great. Pros We use this product to communicate to our employees without cluttering the employee room walls. The remote access feature is amazing as we have 7 geographically disperse locations. The scheduling function is also amazing as it gives us more freedom with making documents live/removing them from the presentations. Cons When the playlists are trying to "save", you cannot move anything around the playlist or add any new slides. And they save automatically around every 15 seconds. It can add time unnecessarily to our task. Having it save at the end (if we leave the page prompting us to save) or allowing us to move things while it saves would be nice. Also a different layout to the playlists would be nice (set up more like the files but with the ability to move the slides around). February 29, 2024 5.0 Pros I enjoy the simplicity of the product and how easily I'm able to manage assets/screens/playlists. I will admit that the amount of possibilities to implement into the presentations, are endless. Very user friendly. Makes setting up digital signage fun/and aesthetically pleasing. Cons Nothing! Something that I wish for in the future is the ability to run a spotify session while presenting a powerpoint. There are ways to integrate music to play while presenting a slideshow currently, I think my wish would be to able to control the music playing in the background while the opti is in the optisign application. Pros Very affordable software and no need for expensive hardware and/or new televisions. Easily found in smart tv apps or via external dongles like google chromecast for tv's that aren't as smart. Cons We have only had one issue with the app timing out on a Roku TV after screensavers and power saving options were turned off to ensure the TV kept displaying the OptiSign. The TV runs without issue every day. We get many compliments from staff and families who are in and out of the office. The screen with rotating information helps keep our community informed. Pros I like how easy it is to design a layout that works for us and update the tv. All I have to do is remove photos and info from a Google Drive folder and then add in what we want. It has been easy to implement digital signage in our school with . The platform layout to schedule and upload content is easy and simple. Pros Very user-friendly set-up and platform to maintain signage. Easy to load content and schedule a playlist. We use daily playlists that I am able to schedule a month making minor additions throughout the month. Our students love that we can post daily lunch menus, fun facts, events coming up, and weather temps for recess. Cons I was hoping just to use the Roku platform on our TV with the OptiSign app, but I quickly figured out many widgets are not compatible with that method. They do warn you during set-up that Roku has limited access, but OptiSign did send the free plug-in stick to allow for all access with our subscription sign-up, so that was a good compromise. Reason for choosing OptiSigns We researched many alternative sign products; two factors were our main focus when ruling out other options. Number 1; is the ease of use and user-friendly platform. I did not want to have to spend a bunch of time learning how to operate it and navigating a site. Number 2; cost of services offered for the price. We have screens that show information to employees only and then other screens that we share with all our volunteers and people outside of the company. Optisigns makes it easy to have completely different slides run on each of our 8 screens. Pros That we can load any TV screen remotely because we have a location in Pasco that we support from Spokane. I also like that we can have multiple screens with something different running on each screen. Cons I am not the slide creator anymore, I turned that over to someone else, so I am not the expert, but having to create my slides in Canva and then put them into was a pain sometimes. Pros When looking for a display company we had zoom with Optisign we went over everything they had to offer we did a free trial it was amazing what you were able to design, a week later we signed up with Optisign.
