Pros It is beyond easy to get started and moving. This was my first time using a platform like this and I was amazed that I could set it up and home and have it ready to go in the office the next day. I like the free android devices, which allow a smart solution for digital signage (less power consumption like Windows PC, less maintenance, less to mount on the wall) Cons Its diffuicult to order and pay, because we´re in europe and we have other payment methods, like pay by invoice. Its possible with Optisign, but more difficult. I think also, there should be a location in europe (because of shipping). Owner Sports Used the software for: 2+ years ### "Totally WOW'd my customers!" December 1, 2023 5.0 Pros Love how easy it is to use and how much it enhances my business! When I was re-opening my business post-COVID I was trying to come up with some new things that would allow my business to stand out. Setting up optisigns digital signage feature completely WOW'd my clients. I was able to use the scheduling feature to put a client's name up on my TV when it was their appointment time. I work with kids so when the kids saw their name up on the TV, they thought it was SO cool! And happy kids = happy parents = repeat customers :) Cons There isn't much to not like about OptiSigns. I guess I could say that since I was using the scheduling feature, it took some time to get everything set up on the backend of the software, but I wouldn't really call this a con because the setup was so easy. It does exactly what I need without having too many features. Pros OptiSigns is easy to set up remotely with some assistance. It fulfilled all of my department's needs without breaking the bank. It's simplicity has really been it's best feature. Plus, the flexible plan to add or remove devices as needed is greatly valued. Cons Roku devices seem to really struggle with OptiSigns. I understand that's a device issue and not OptiSigns. However, when researching OptiSigns and compatibility with Roku, this issue did not come up. It wasn't until after we started having issues with videos that the issue became known. It would be great if this was more clearly communicated. Reason for choosing OptiSigns The closest in comparison was Yodeck, but OptiSigns had more compatibility with additional software, plus it seemed to be more secure, with less cost. Cons The visibility of items within screens can get a bit frustrating (you have to switch from playlist to content list to see certain fields when managing - it would be much better if all options were available in either screen to avoid having to manage using two screens). December 1, 2023 5.0 Customer support has always been so helpful in resolving any issue that has arrived. And the fact that each month new design templates are added, makes keeping the sign updated and fresh. Love this so much. Pros There are templates to help design your display, making it so easy to update the sign. Always looks professional. In addition, you can use your own designs just as easily. I have never found updating a sign to look so professional so easy. And updating the sign takes just a few minutes of your time. In fact, so easy I can update as frequently as I would like. Cons Nothing to dislike. This product is the best I have ever used! I replaced a previously used one and have never regretted it. Once we figured out how to setup our account, it's been easy going adding different groups and users to the platform. There's minimal training needed once they register and we're able to get most sites up and running right away. Pros Once your accounts are setup it is pretty easy to maintain. We're able to create groups for each site and assign users who can only see the group they're assigned to. We can add more screens as needed and adding playlists, files, and images to them is super easy. So far users invited to use the system had no problem with the platform. We're able to manage multiple systems across the US with little issues. Cons We use an invoicing system so it's a bit inconvenient to pay by credit card for each screen. As we are using multiple screens for multiple sites, it can be hard to keep track what invoice goes where and who needs to pay it. There was a little hiccup in the beginning on how to create accounts that would work in our environment and we had to redo a few accounts to get them working correctly, but this was eventually solved. Pros This is the most cost effective, feature packed solution we have found that fits all of our needs. We love that it interfaces with teams however is also a con which is described below. Cons The only con that we have so far is that the "Teams" connection through optisigns is lack luster and offers 0 customization compared to other features. We were unable to remove things such as the teams logo or the posting persons user information and we were unable to customize transitions or colors to our needs. We ended up using seenspire's teams connector in conjunction to our optisigns setup because that was the best way to get the look and feel of what we needed throughout and hope that in the future we can eliminate seenspire if the teams connector built into optisigns is expanded and made more user friendly going forward. Having an app too is super helpful. It works well for all sorts of signage. We have a portrait screen and it was one of the only softwares that would rotate the content to portrait effectively. Pros Optisigns is very easy to use. It works efficiently and I've not had any problems with it so far. It's a fairly intuitive system and the newsletter is nice for informing of new options available. I've used the website for help to navigate available tools so that I didn't need to contact anyone for assistance. Pros The ease of use and available templates provided me with a solution to educating and informing our workers. The platform allows me to add content remotely and adjust timing as well as scheduling of videos and information. Making last minute changes to information is quick and simple. I love the weather option that provides an actual visual, rain, snow, sun, etc. OptiSigns enables me to provide more dynamic visuals to engage more of the workforce at the facility. Cons Our use of OptiSigns at this particular company is minimal, just one screen. I have not run into any problems setting up or using OptiSigns. This isn't really OptiSigns but I wish it was easier to capture some of the video content in Instagram for display without sharing Instagram directly. They were to set up my menu on their playlist then I can display it on my tv's. They couldn't get the menu to fit on the screens right. They also have a marketing system with their Wi-Fi that my customers use. The wi-fi never worked properly. I called customer service 5 time and left a message, because no one answered the phone and the never got back to me till 7 days later, they said they are working on it. The issues haven't been resolved on day 12 of a 20-day free trial. I'm not waiting for day 20 to send it back, I'm in the prosses of sending their equipment back now. Review Source Donald C. It has drawn in customers walking by in the mall. Pros I inadvertently purchased a pre-configured Android Stick Player when I already had a FireTV. After sending an email requesting they cancel the order, They immediately canceled the order, no questions asked. I have been using Optisigns for a few days now, and I found it relatively easy to set up and implement. Cons The one thing I don't like is the inability to add closed captioning without having to use YouTube or Vimeo. Also, adding background music with the ability for the music to stop when a video with sound plays is a little bit of a learning curve that I am still trying to figure out. I mostly upload graphics and YouTube Videos as assets to be displayed on TV around our Powersports & Boat Dealership, which work great. But I also use the Designer and other apps like Trello and social apps sometimes. All seem to work great and do everything we need them to do. I also like the ability to put devices on hold. Cons I have seen a few issues with the Screen Preview feature in the past, but I have not seen any issues lately.
