We have implented to power about 30 digital displays in our multi-disciplinary performing arts venue which is visited by approximately 150,000 guests annually. These displays are used for wayfinding, concessions/bar menus, box office signage, marketing assets, and even projection. Our team of staff has been thrilled with OptiSigns and its ease of use vs. our previous system. In particular, the Notice Board app is incredibly useful for quick and professional deployment of content including messages like "OPAC welcomes Mr. John Doe" for day time meetings with donors. Our previous software for digital signage had only the most basic of notice board functionality.

Pros

is HALF the cost of our previous software per screen/per month. As a non-profit, we work hard to use cost-effective solutions. The feature set of OptiSigns is far greater than our previous system and after reviewing our options, it appears much more powerful than other solutions. The deployment using Amazon Fire Sticks is absurdly easy. The affordability and availability of Fire Sticks also makes it super quick and easy to add additional screens. OptiSigns does not charge for additional users. This is super helpful for a non-profit as we can empower our part-time staff to update our digital signage as needed. Other software options can charge up to $15 per user per month in addition to the per screen charge! The folder management tool is awesome! It is very easy for each one of our departments to organize assets and keep things clean.

Cons

This is really more of a wishlist rather than cons Presets - We would love the ability to have mass presets that could be deployed quickly. For example, a preset would deploy different "Post-show" content to all screens for display as audiences leave. Likewise, "intermission" specific content could be deployed to different screens. Chromebox - I would like to see better integration for Chromebox devices in kiosk mode.

Pros

Very easy to use and setup for local pizza chain operating 6 displays across four locations.

Cons

Hit some snags along the way, but tutorials and support quickly fixed the issues we were having

I used to have to make a weekly PowerPoint presentation and then upload to 5 individual monitors throughout my facility. Opti Signs made it so much easier to be able to cast to all the monitors and be able to do it from my phone as well. This application provides both ease of use, comfort, and accessibility.

Pros

I like that has a diverse amount of information that can be provided. You have apps from local traffic and weather to system driven analytics. I fashioned my presentation to cater to my specific site and relevant information for my team.

Cons

I wish there was a way to put a cast a Pi Processbook or live production floor data.

Our users are thrilled with this new tool to allow them to keep our residents up-to-date with what is going on in our communities.

Pros

We love the ease of use in creating new content, adding photos and videos and the ability to push out the content in a matter of moments. The templates give us a quick way to change things up. The Playlists give us the ability to have different content on different screens.

Cons

The only con we have run into is that the OptiSign android stick only works on the 2.4 ghz Wi-Fi which was not something we wanted to enable due to it broadcasting and interfering with our neighbors Wi-Fi.

Overall, I have not been very pleased with . The Support phone number is not clearly given. The Support has not gotten back to me from an issue I had called in and sent an email about. - I figured it out though. (The AP 50 feet away is too far for the Device to reach)

Pros

has an easy interface to the TV, providing it has an HDMI port. This can be used with the USB Power from the TV (But Optisigns recommends that you use the provided plug that plugs into the wall socket)

Cons

WiFi is poor on the devices we have. We can only get a signal on the device if the AP is in Clear site, and our experience has been The device needs to be within 15-20 feet of the AP for a connection to be established. Also, it was not disclosed to me that the Device was ONLY 2.4GHz capable until it arrived at my desk for installation.

We are really impressed so far and will be looking into all of the features after Christmas.

Pros

Very easy to set up and to schedule different playlists across our screens.

Cons

Nothing so far which is great! I had an issue with users (my fault) but I got help within 48 hours and got my issue resolved.

I rate it a 9/10. $10 to run a live tv with the ability to change it anytime and anywhere, it was one of the best business investments.

Pros

I enjoy how remote can be. I am able to change what is being presented on my device, anytime & anywhere.

Cons

I least like the bugs/software problems it may have at times. There will be times when the TV is running shuts off. We typically just restart the Firestick and that tends to solve the problem.

Pros

The setup was incredibly simple. I was able to configure 25 Amazon Fire Sticks using the Digital Signage App in a matter of a few hours. Then it was just a matter setting up our users so that they could see their assets and nothing else. They provide and maintain the information specific to their manufacturing lines (Production Information, Quality Alerts, etc). Each department can publish information to the displays, so no one person is in charge of keeping everything up to date.

Cons

Honestly, this has been a great experience. Any concerns or questions that I had were addressed in a timely manner.

Reason for choosing OptiSigns

Most of the products that I looked at had very similar features. was the easiest to use and offered support for a larger number of apps.

very nice cms system for controlling your screens

Pros

After trying another system where we had download all kind of extensions and third party software I saw the app in google play and it immediately works even the refresh and. upload to screens where quite fast

Cons

dont really know yet still learning the system

I have only recently been using this software in the free version, but I have already discovered a list of quite incredible possibilities in terms of advertisement distribution ... some of which have never been seen on any other software to date ...

Pros

I have used many display software for many years, and by chance I discovered OptiSign which exceeds most of them ... I particularly appreciate the number of applications and the ultra-comprehensive functions. I am inexperienced with this software because I am in a trial period, but I have a great habit of using display software and I must say that I am quite impressed with all these possibilities.

Cons

I haven't yet discovered any downside, nor have I been able to look at all of them yet, but I haven't seen a single malfunction

Overall our experience has been great. has been a huge part of our business for our out-of-state clients. It has created a pathway of communication to clients when we are not able to be there in person on a regular basis. It also has enabled our clients to communicate with their employees in an efficient and modern way.

Remote access and scheduling playlists..

Cons

Would like to be able to schedule a playlist to take over the entire screen/layout on weekday basis. Or switch to another layout during a scheduled time....

It was super quick to setup and the learning curve is not steep at all. It would be nice to see some updates in the future to improve the user interface and make it more intuitive. Scheduling content has the same issues and we don't currently use it to avoid posting content at the wrong times.

It's nicely designed. There is many different kinds of files and media you can import which makes it very customizable

Pros

I like that we are able to communicate more effectively with our staff and collaborate efficiently on the administrative side of things. The recommended templates are nice to look at and it was not hard to get a good grasp of the product.

Cons

I tried to connect Canva via API to but it never seemed to work. The design fucntionality in optisigns itself is a little outdated so I find myself creating in canva having to download to my computer and reupload to Optisigns, its a bit clunky. As I mentioned earlier there is a signfiicant lag in the remote setting as well.

Overall, once you become familiar with the layout of the back office it is simple to use. We have had issues in the past with screens turning off early, which I put down to it being a US based company and so not synchronising accordingly with GMT

The fact that I can change and update me yes and prices for multiple locations remotely from our head office, and the changes take place immediately.

We have had issues in the past with time configuration for GMT and the screens turning off earlier than scheduled.

Overall is a great product that is priced competitively for it's capabilities. We evaluated over 15 different programs and the only one that gave us the flexibility we needed for updating live data was OptiSigns. For anyone who needs digital signage this is definitely one worth evaluating.

Pros

The user interface is incredibly easy to use. The way the slides, playlists, schedules, and screens are used in combination with each other makes customizing each of our screens incredibly easy. There are few things our team has asked for that we weren't able to accomplish.

Cons

The calendar integration with outlook is one area that is a bit limiting. Currently there isn't a way to show the week or month view starting from the current date. So as you approach the end of the month/week you aren't able to see the next month/week schedule. It can also be tricky to get the content to scale properly on different size screens.
