In terms of data retention and GDPR - Don't support Sharepoint connector yet. I would recommend the app to anyone. Pros Using OptiSigns is so easy to use. Very little learning curve required. I was up and running within minutes. Cons Nothing to complain about. It works great. It's been a great experience overall, much smoother than previous products from other companies. Pros So far using OptiSigns has been a relative breeze. The inexpensive and options of compatible devices made it a low cost of entry. The scheduling side of things is pretty good overall. A couple of items that were a bit clunky, and a feature or label here or there that wasn't completely clear, but I can't complain much. It's been a good product so far. Cons There are a few options that just don't make much sense, specifically when scheduling individual media and playlists. The option to "repeat" doesn't really give you any idea what is being repeated. The playlist? Isn't it already repeated each time through? Is it going to stop if I don't tell it to repeat? Honestly this is my only semi major gripe, is that there are some naming and tools that aren't as intuitive as they could be, and don't have help close at hand to explain things to you with a tool tip. When in comes to placements, the sticky magnetism can be a huge pain and I've have to use precise numerical inputs just to get apps to align perfectly. I'm using video, still images, an Instagram connected feed, local weather widget and other media on occasion and through playlists can set things just the way I want. Troubleshooting remotely is a blessing and it's low cost just sweetens the whole deal! Pros The intuitive setup and ease of use when working with media of all sorts really helped get content on our agency's screens quickly and easily. The added plug-ins for social helped too because it reduced the amount of content that we have to update manually – we get just set, adjust and tweak until we get the desired result. Perfect! Cons This isn't really a knock on OptiSigns, but our pain point was working with BrightSign players and their terrible interface to even get to OptiSigns. Once the endless provisioning and reboots were complete, selecting and using a partner software for the players were a breeze. Alternatives considered [Yodeck](https://www.capterra.com/p/228571/Yodeck/) Reason for choosing OptiSigns Pricing and features were the number one reason to start the free trial as a test run to make sure it offered everything we needed. The fact that it checked all the boxes and was simple to use made it a no brainer. We had not renewed during the pandemic since we were out of the office, but starting back up led us to look around at what alternatives would work best for us in terms of price and functionality. I have had great success with the initial roll out but there have been some bugs to work out and I am still working those out. Prior to this we had to program a raspberry pi and connect it via HDMI. OptiSigns software has reduced our investment needed for every location and allows us to have less wires and a visually pleasing front of house. Cons As a start-up small business I can always argue subscription fees but at around $20.00 per location I do feel that this is a fair rate but I am always eager and excited at better rates as OptiSigns grows. Drag and drop feature of assets makes it easy update displays and the ability to adjust the time they are seen. Supports multiple image and video formats. There is also the ability to add apps or plug-ins that allows the user to add content from social media platforms, new fees and stream live video. Pros Easy of use, very affordable, new content all the time, supports lots of file extension, great product at a great price Cons Maybe that there is no segregation between users ( all admins can see all content) you can create different playlists and name different devices but there is no way to limit what two admins that manage a separate playlist ( devices) can see. November 6, 2023 5.0 It's taken me a long time to find a digital signage solution like this. I've been through so many of them and tried it for customers in so many different ways. This is simple, smooth and straightforward to setup, implement and deploy content to on a regular basis. I highly recommend this platform! Pros I like the ease of use and the simplicity of setup that they have created. It's easy to configure and deploy content quickly and easily and target specific displays or groups of displays. I highly recommend Optisigns Cons I haven't found any yet. Some widget and template customisation can be not quite how we might want it, but it's just a matter of getting your head around it and adjusting it accordingly. It's not a big deal and something that i'm sure the development team will be improving over time. The signage always attracts customers' attention and gets them asking about our products and services. Plus we can easily showcase events we are a part of. Cons We had one TV that is Android based it seemed to have more issues with the OptiSigns app working. But I think that is more tied to the TV than the app. Our other TV works just fine. It allows us to present our custom-designed educational and aesthetic content to our patients in a non-invasive and visually pleasing way. Pros The software is extremely easy to use and intuitive. It only took a few minutes to set up on each of our Amazon Fire TVs. It supports multiple media formats and displays them seamlessly. The customization available for playlists is fantastic. The best feature is auto-launch, which allows us to display our presentations on our screens without having to do anything besides turn on the TVs. Cons While the live-update feature is convenient, it might be useful to have an on/off option for this feature so if a playlist is updated while the presentation is playing during business hours, it is not interrupted. The software user interface is clean and simple, but could be more attractive. Pros Its very simple to set up and use. Changing slides is very easy to do as well, can be dragged and dropped on to a playlist and that playlist is updated. Easy! In less than 24 hours we had them programmed and not only received comments from the staff, but it appears that guests were also looking at the monitors. That was a pleasant surprise Pros ease of use and set up. we were up and shooting relevant images to screens in less than an hour. it is easy to use and mimics other software UI, so less time learning. Adding third party apps is also easy Cons once you sort thru the interfaces it does what it says, some of the calendar steps , while easy to follow might be able to cut some time down. Cons The purchasing process was a little complicated because we utilize a P.O. system instead of just using a credit card. Though the support team worked with us, to make sure we had what we needed.
