Pros Easy to use and update. I like to update mine seasonally. It's a great means of communicating with clients. It's an excellent indirect sales tool. Cons Functionality could be more intuitive. It should be made clear that both the TV and your laptop must have the Optisign app- If the TV does not offer the app, you must order the sticks. The pairing instructions could be better written. Also, a feature quick guide would be great. We did do a demo before purchasing, but honestly, the CS Rep was not very engaging, nor did he come prepared to show a demo. It was more or less a Q & A. Pros It is easy to use and has many features compared to a prior service. Cons Youtube videos are not streaming correctly, nor have I been able to get weather alerts to work correctly. Treasurer Non-Profit Organization Management Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "Great solution for non profits and small businesses" December 15, 2022 5.0 Optisigns gives us an affordable way to upgrade our digital signage and really makes it easy with their app, support and ability to manage remotely. We opted for the pre-loaded sticks for our monitors and it was very easy to get set up and running. Pros The software annual pricing per screen is very affordable for what you get. Nonprofits can get a discount, which is helpful. The process to create slides and full playlists is quite simple, which we needed because we wanted a great display without having to spend a lot of time creating it. The app is also very helpful to manage our screens remotely. Cons We haven’t encountered any cons as of yet. There have been no significant issues. I use this daily, and reliability is critical. Pros The screen can be modified in my home office while I'm working on menu and price changes. The screen at my coffee shop can be instantly changed remotely. I'm able to upload menu designs that are created on other platforms, such as Canva. As a small business owner, the affordability, ease of use and overall functionality has been great. Pros The whole process from set-up through utilization was super easy. Had a small hiccup with an MP4 I was using and customer support got right back to me with a solution that worked. I really appreciate the easy to use framework, the ability to update from anywhere and the affordability. Cons I've only been using the product for a few weeks but so far I haven't found any. We can market our different events across the facility and connect to live streams of the event. Can't wait to get this connected to more functions around the facility. Pros Get emergency information out fast when needed. Can decide playlists for internal and external use. We can disconnect certain screens when they are not in use. It is inexpensive and does everything we need it to. We have changed the person in charge of keeping it updated a couple times and they all learned it right away and are making very professional looking displays. Marketing Manager Food Production Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "Easy and comprehensive" May 10, 2023 5.0 We are in a highly regulated industry and this software not only helps communication between production offices and the production floor, the staff is often able to avoid suiting up and going to the floor for production updates.If anyone on staff has even a modicum of video or programming experience, this is a piece of cake to get running. Pros I was quickly able to create a layout and load content without any additional support. OptiSigns' software allows you to easily do anything from a simple menu style layout to a more complex news-network type layout. The second is what we're using, allowing us to directly link the production and packaging schedules to monitors on the factory floor, send through alert messages for changes or updates on shipping and receiving, as well as embed somewhat more entertaining content. Cons It would be nice if there were some more robust Roku function but workarounds are so cheap and easy that it's negligable. Pros The use of being able to connect to external apps, I have tried two other digital signage apps and this was far superior, it has its own app that integrates well with the firestick. Cons In the calander week option it would be great if you could see the full day view in the the week display option instead of the where it is at the time. Two are in the Lobby, with one being used for Donor recognition and a second more geared for the public. We also have a screen in the room where our volunteers enter that tells of upcoming events, meetings, Covid protocol, and volunteer recognition! It works great that that we can program custom information to different areas of the non-profit and I can keep up with it from home! Pros The software is so intuitive.
