As people come in and out, it is amazing how many will look at the screen to catch up on the latest news. Pros OptiSigns makes it easy to display up to date information regarding scheduling, service times, events, office closures etc. I love that you can do both video and text screens or a combination of both. Pros The pricing is the biggest pro. OptiSigns is about half the cost of most competitors and the fact that they do not require a proprietary device makes their platform very flexible. We were able to buy inexpensive Android TVs that we could download their app onto making it very easy to get started without needing to deal with multiple devices for each display. Cons Their website and help documents appear to be written by someone who is not a native English-speaking individual. The content is rife with spelling and grammatical errors that I felt was off-putting. But, the technology appears strong and it is much less expensive, so I can deal with it. Pros A simple website that allows for easy configuration of a menu on a TV. Very easy fast to change the menu on the fly when needed. Cons No preset menu options but it's easy to create your own. It was easy to setup on our TLC TVs and I'm sure it's the same for other brands. Cons I wish there was a better way to mount the OptiSigns devices to the rear of the TVs. August 29, 2021 4.0 We have had a great response with members who have seen our digital sign. It is perfect for communicating chamber updates, introducing new members, and informing of community events. The fact that it is easy to use, quick to learn, and very affordable makes it a perfect addition to our chamber. Pros OptiSigns was very easy to learn, the UI was intuitive and the library of templates and stock photos made the creative process a breeze. Not having to purchase expensive software was also a plus, we chose to purchase a Firestick from Amazon, downloaded the app, and was in business. Cons Overall the software is great, I had a little trouble with creating a slide show with PowerPoint and contacted support, they responded quickly and helped fix the problem. October 24, 2023 5.0 We were using Mirabyte Frontface and have now switched to Optisigns. It's like going from a zeppelin to an A380. It's easy to use and self-explanatory. You can quickly and easily create fancy content using a designer and many templates, or include countless apps and dynamic content. Absolute recommendation! Pros Optisings is fast, easy to understand and simple to set up. It offers extensive integration of data and is free in design.The support is top notch. Cons No cons.You have to know that not all content runs on some devices (like Apple TV). If you really want to use all the apps you can use a small, cheap computer. Works great! Pros I love that we may change the menus remotely via the app, so I do not need to be present at our store to do so. My team can let me know what needs to be changed in real time, and it updates immediately. On the first day of the trial I set up my computer as a test monitor and then went home, downloaded the app, and got my TV added and streaming content within minutes. Why isn't everyone doing this? Pros I love that there is no hardware and that it has so many features that can be edited from anywhere. I think it's pretty great that it gives me full control to manage the content and set up other sites and managers. Cons Haven't experienced a con yet, but I am new to it.
