Based on what we were using before, this has been so great for our company! Pros I love how fast it is to upload media and how quick the screens update! The initial set up for new screens is so easy as well. Cons The app is slower than the desktop version. In this case it was as easy as described online. Getting the account setup to being able to create playlists and load other content. Then displaying the content on the TV was just easy. Cons Sometimes it is too restrictive for our needs and often I spend time trying to figure out HOW to do something that should be relatively simple- such as scrolling data from a "birthday shoutout" list. If any updates are required to any of our signs, the software applies them almost immediately. We also like how many integrations are available within . From Google Calendar to Microsoft OneDrive, there are so many apps to choose from. Cons There are a few small hiccups here and there. When transitioning between apps in a playlist, there is sometimes a blank white screen. The embed widget also doesn't support transparency. It's been so simple, reliable and smooth. Pros It was very easy to add into our workflow as initial setup was without complication and updates to the playlist and adding media is as easy as drag and drop. Cons The only con so far, is that I wish the menu bar at the top didn't scroll with the page so that I could more easily switch between playlist and media and other menus. I also need to find a way to keep my tvs running the whole time which is a bit time consuming. I try to have them all ON the whole time but web browser apps fails. I'm considering buying Alexas for all of them and see how it goes. Pros The easiness to learn how to use the platform and the many different ways to install the app in TV browsers, Amazon Firestick, etc. Cons The web player! It stops working after a few hours! Also the playlists are not really functional with videos! They do not play when in playlist mode. Reason for choosing OptiSigns Because it's super specialised on the solution I was looking for. Pros We are using the software as signage for our church. We love that we can collaborate on the content allowing each department to determine which assets to use. We tried several solutions before settling on this one. It gives us the control and flexibility we need while giving us tremendous functionality. Cons The developer is still working on some of the native features (youtube support) on the Roku. Also like they range of software integrations with tools like slack that we use as well, in case we want to connect them as well. Simple customization of templates and feeds will make this easy to implement with our team. Cons For us making our first leap into more SAAS digital signage programs, it's a little more expensive than some of the other programs we've looked at, but given some of the benefits, we still want to move ahead with implementation and think it's a good value compared to others we've used and researched.
