Overall we are satisified and happy with Grip and the support we receive. It's enabling us! The customerfacing UX & UI is our biggest issue, but we get so much more out of it and features we can't find elsewhere. Definitely recommend it.

Pros

It matches a lot of what we want to do and enables networking at scale. It's very adjustable which we realizedis a need for us. A lot of smart features and you get a good overview things. Everything works! We're one of the first customers for the registration that they now offer and are very excited about how that is going to shape up. Knowing the direction, it'll be really great. And we appreciate having more of the customer journey in one place.

Cons

The main negative feedback we receive is that the UX & UI isn't good enough. Even though the features are there, it's not always easy to figure them out.

Reasons for choosing Grip

Best met ALL of our requirements and adjustability. We were looking to keep a lot of things in one platform which we are succeeding with now. Of the 31 platforms I talked to Grip haad the best match for a good price.

Overall great and the team exhibit fantastic customer service. We have seen the engagement increase in year two and we're confident that this will increase again in year 3

Pros

Grip is an easy to use platform for customers and there are some great sponsorship opportunities. Our engagement rate is currently low due to our traditional audience but the team have been in great with helping to drive this up.

Cons

Whilst there are some great sponsorship opportunities within the app it would be good to see 'insta style' stories being added as this would really help is drive sponsorship revenue.

We work closely with the Grip platform and its support team, and we’re consistently impressed by the high level of quality they deliver. This is reflected in our customer feedback, where clients regularly rate their meeting experience and the platform’s performance very highly.

Pros

Grip sits at the heart of our client experience and has become an integral part of our event DNA. The platform gives us strong control over design and branding, and our clients consistently praise its ease of use. Its comprehensive feature set strikes the right balance between powerful organiser tools and an intuitive user experience - especially when it comes to facilitating effective networking. Grip is the only platform we've found that combines all of this with a robust Hosted Buyer module and meeting scheduler.

Cons

Nothing comes to mind, Grip listen to our pain points and look for ways to resolve them with us on a regular basis.

My overall experience has been very positive over the last few years, the account management pre-event has been very supportive and the team are quick to respond. Onsite, the team are quick to train staff, troubleshoot exhibitor issues and aid our exhibitors and visitors where the app may not be available to download.

Pros

The functionality is simple, user-friendly alongside being reliable, which are the key 3 things that I look for in an app for our events.

Cons

The modules available for designing the look and feel of the app are slightly restrictive, it would be great to see further gif, video and dynamic personalised modules available in the future.

Overall we are very happy and committed ourself to a multi year contract. The support and implementation team is really one of the best we have ever worked with.

Pros

The features that are new are exactly what is needed by our customers (events attendees, sponsors and exhibitors) and all developments of the platform focus on strengthening Grip's USP. Improvements of Grip really improve the user experience. Compared to other conference apps Grip is not only a virtual event platform it also outperforms at the most difficult part of virtual/hybrid events: networking.

Cons

Missing Gamification features are missing and the integrated engagement (polls, Q&A) is not yet mature.

Attendify put a lot of development focus on attendee registration features which is not their core business and hence lacks some critical features. Moreover, they are missing critical networking features (i.e. matchmaking and meeting functionality). vFairs uses a computer game like UI which is not good as it leads to more clicks per action on the user end. Moreover the implementation effort is at least twice as high as with Grip.

Our experience with the Grip team has been wonderful. We have a dedicated team of support people with whom we have weekly meetings where we discuss upcoming events, new features and any bugs that we have found. The team is highly responsive to feedback and works hard to solve any issues.

Pros

I like the ability to manage, own and update all aspects of our events on our own. The customer service is top notch, they listen, they problem solve and they help to request new features. This software is great value for the money as compared to many of the other platforms I have looked at. Grip integrates easily with different streams (Zoom, Teams, Vimeo) making it very easy to create a dynamic event.

Cons

They could improve upon reporting, analytics and add gamification
