Photographer Photography Used the software for: 2+ years ### "A MUST HAVE tool for photographers" November 16, 2021 5.0 I have been a very long-time user of the photobulk mac app and I love how quickly I can get things done from photo resizing, renaming, optimizing, and quickly adding a watermark on bulk batches. This makes it a breeze if a business client needs multiple delivery options for their photos. The program runs smoothly, quickly, and does its job to perfection. Pros I love how easy and fast this app is with a minimal UX. I use this every day to quickly batch resize and rename and optimize my photos for various client deliveries. I also own PhotoMill, which has its benefits but it feels so heavy when I open it to run something. PhotoBulk definitely puts my brain at ease when I open it I don't feel like I have to do a lot of thinking to use it. Cons I feel like they could work on how the presets function, but it's nothing that makes me not want to use the software, still my favorite app for this workflow. Reason for choosing PhotoBulk I just love it, it's clean, cute, easy to use. Doesn't look like a clunky out-of-date piece of software, doesn't make me think hard, is streamlined, and does the jobs I need on a daily basis with photography work. Switched from [Adobe Lightroom](https://www.capterra.com/p/233631/Adobe-Photoshop-Lightroom/) I wanted something local on my computer that would speed up my workflow. I know I can do a lot of these batch processes through lightroom, photoshop, or bridge, but PhotoBulk is hands down faster and more convenient for post-editing processes. Review Source Scott B. Their image resizing and compression is not lossless and will change the quality of the pictures. I prefer to control the quality of the images. Photobulk lets me create a preset to size the pictures and compress them in a way that prevents the site from editing your pictures. It is an essential tool in our workflow! Pros Photobulk is fast and can run through a similar edit of photos in no-time-flat! It will resize, watermark, optimize and change formats in lightning speed, even on an older Mac. Cons The only "con" would be the minor missing feature of being able to bulk lighten images. That would help for some of the images I deal with. Alternatives considered [Adobe Photoshop](https://www.capterra.com/p/229092/Adobe-Photoshop/) Reason for choosing PhotoBulk We tried to look at similar products and thought about writing our own scripts. There may be others that can do this process one image at a time, but we could not find one to do images in bulk. The modifications and the loading of the images take place quickly. Cons It does not have many text style options: underlining is the only option available, with no way to add an external shadow or outline. Pros What I like most about this software is the ease of manipulating and edits photos that you need widely distributed. For example, if I am sending something out to all the students in a certain department I work in, I can use a watermark to ensure they won't use what I've sent out. Also, you can change dimensions on photos to make it fit what you will be using the photo for. It's also extremely user friendly. Cons What I like least about this software is that it can crash if you have too many things going on in the background while using your computer. For example, if you have PowerPoint up and 10 other tabs in your browser open, it may crash on you. Review Source Ana S. Operation and interface is easy to understand in mass easy to use No prior knowledge is needed to get the full performance of the application Good image optimizer and dimensions reducer The conversion is available for supported formats, including JPEG, PNG and GIF Add to the photos to reduce their weight, greater optimization, lower weight. Personalize your photos with labels, logos and any other personal brand. Cons It is a bit expensive, although there is a free version but this can be used for a short period of time. That saves a lot of times. Cons There's no automation available. For example, the App should be able to monitor a folder and automatically optimized newly added photos based on a pre-set rules. There's no need for overly expensive software anymore. It's easy to use. My friend loves to take pics of me but he always takes literally 100s of shots. I hate going through each and individually resizing or watermarking them. With Photobulk, I can just upload, change one and all are changed. So amazing. It's fast, reliable and has no learning curve. I didn't need to watch youtube tutorials to learn lol. I feel like this software has been photo processing faster. The fonts are great, resizing and optimizing for the web is super simple. I've been using the Lite version and even though there's a few limitations it still work great for me. Cons It crashed a few times when I opened the software, but it turns out it was my computer. I hadn't updated my software in a while so it wasn't working properly. But now, it works just fine. Review Source KK KRYSTAL K. PhotoBulk helps me changes the sizes of the images for the web, add watermarks if I want, and add captions. Pros You can process as many files as you want as opposed to just one image file at a time. Cons The original version lacked some more advanced features but PhotoBulk has improved and now offers lots of advanced photo editing features. I hope it is developed further. July 7, 2018 4.0 Pros PhotoBulk makes it super easy to edit multiple photos at once on my Mac. Simplifies many of the processes that would otherwise take much more time to do in Photoshop. Cons I did notice that the quality of my photos were reduced after my watermark was successfully placed, but thankfully it really wasn't enough to make a significant difference.
