Overall the experience was very frustrating due to constant issues, failed connections, and lack of helpful support.

Pros

When the connection works, the software does what it promises and allows remote access without major setup effort.

Cons

The software is buggy, connections often fail, support is unresponsive, and basic functionality is unreliable.

Una vez que eres Cliente, se ponen en contacto contigo para hacerte una encuesta de satisfacción de cliente que es bastante larga, por lo que te dicen que, a cambio, te entregarán un bono regalo de 50 euros de Amazon. Es mentira. No te van a entregar nada a cambio de tu tiempo. A mi, después de insistirles bastante (quería el bono para comprar una cafetera para la oficina), me enviaron un bono que, al canjearlo me decía que no era válido. Se lo hice saber a Real VNC y no me respondieron nada al respecto.

Pros

El software, de momento, funciona correctamente, ya que a nosotros nos hacía falta acceder a PC´s remotos sin estar conectados a Internet (VPN´s) y el producto satisface nuestras necesidades.

Cons

El producto no sólo es el software, también el servicio post venta y, en esta parte, no son de fiar. En este caso, por el tipo de servicio que se está contratando, esto es una desventaja de proporciones gigantescas. Según se acerque la fecha de vencimiento de contrato habrá que buscar otras opciones.

HORRIBLE, no technical support, very poor customer service, cannot depend on the application or their support, other options to choose from, not recommended.

Pros

Worked great for years, easy to use, was reliable, and great support previously...

Cons

No longer free, subscription required since 2024, ran into a problem and absolutely HORRIBLE TECHNICAL SUPPORT, no response to email, tech left chat session without warning, no follow up, with so many other applications available, I will no longer use this product, it isn't as reliable and the support doesn't exist......NOT RECOMMENDED!

No support, overcharged, unable to make appropriate plan or billing changes. Stuck with what I have and will have to migrate my devices and cancel before they hit me again with over-billing.

Pros

Functionality is great...until you need support of any kind. No ability to change plan or billing unless adding on and no way to correct inaccuracies.

Cons

No response from support...ever. I tried multiple voice mails and emails and ended up getting overcharged for services I did not want/need. Then, at renewal time, I was unable to change my subscription unless I wanted to add on, was concerned about getting over charged but couldn't turn off auto-renew or remove my card or even see what I would be charged until the day before my card was charged, even though I had attempted to contact support multiple times already with no response.

Overall, RealVNC has proved to be a highly reliable service. Its support applet does not require installation, calling it from our software is easy to implement. That said, an API for the support applet would be welcome.

Pros

An important feature for us is the availability of a technician-centered license as opposed to customer-based licensing.

Cons

The need for the customer to initiate the support session in real-time. We would appreciate it if the customer could start the session, specify our level of access (user/admin, access time window) and leave, so that we could log in at a later time.

Overall experience with VNC is positive. It easy to work with.

Pros

It gives me the ability to work from home.

Cons

When there is poor network, it starts to lag and produce distorted colours. It only allows me to control one screen hence, I have to disconnect one screen at work.
