### "Great Educational Program/Website!"

April 24, 2026

5.0

Overall, my experience with McGraw-Hill Connect has been a mix of convenience and occasional annoyance. It definitely helps keep coursework structured and gives useful feedback, but the technical hiccups can make it stressful. Still, it’s a solid tool for learning when everything is running smoothly.

Pros

What I like most about McGraw-Hill Connect is how organized everything is. The assignments, readings, and practice problems are all in one place, which makes it easier to keep track of what’s due. The auto‑graded quizzes and instant feedback are super helpful when you’re trying to figure out what you actually understand.

Cons

The platform can feel slow or glitchy at times, especially during peak hours or timed assignments. Some of the navigation feels a bit clunky, and certain features aren’t as intuitive as they should be. It can also be frustrating when instructors rely heavily on it, because even small tech issues can mess up your workflow.

### "McGraw-Hill Connect: More Than an Online Textbook"

December 13, 2025

5.0

I think it's a great resource. I will intermingle what McGraw-Hill Connect offers with my own plans based on the readings provided in their textbook to create engaging lessons.

Pros

A person can find games, including links to Kahoot Games, guided readings, presentations, videos, current events resources, interactives, etc. on McGraw-Hill Connect.

Cons

This is not an issue with the product itself, but because some learning management systems don't always have the capability to easily link to the website, sometimes students have to click multiple links to get to the product.

### "Death to McGraw Hill!"

February 27, 2026

1.0

Absolutely horrible. McGraw Hill does not deserve to be a website used by teachers to actually teach stuff.

Pros

I did not like anything about McGraw Hill. It is "genuinely atrocious." Why schools use this for learning is beyond me.

Cons

The text does not make sense. On some buttons, it says "submit" even though it is just asking you what setting you want. Multiple people were confused because they thought they had to actually submit something. Also, the website has no help buttons, no how-to buttons, no nothing. It is also extremely laggy, and takes almost a full minute to load the website. Finally, it doesn't actually teach you anything!

### "Great for Math Teachers"

April 22, 2025

5.0

My overall experience with Connect has been positive. My students actually enjoy completing assignments online using the software. Once students finish an assignment, they get feedback immediately. This allows the teacher to see what each student is having trouble with.

Pros

McGraw-Hill Connect is a mathematical software created by McGraw-Hill. One of the main things I love about the software is I can integrate the program for all of my math classes. I have taught Algebra 2, Trigonometry, Geometry, and Senior Transition. I was able to integrate Connect for each of these classes. The best feature is Connect tailors' assignments for each individual student. If a student is struggling with a certain type of problem, the program will make sure to give that student more problems to practice. Students no longer have to keep doing the same type of problem over and over again. Connect has made my life so much easier.

Cons

One of the only complaints I have for Connect is it's difficult to learn all of the available features. It took me awhile to figure out how everything worked. After spending time on the software, it's no longer a problem. The learning curb is high compared to other programs.

Overall it has been a positive experience using their textbook and its features. It has helped me excel in my education.

Pros

McGraw-Hill does a great job at providing online textbooks. Not only do they provide the text but they also provide learning resources like highlighter or flashcards.

Cons

The only downside to McGraw Hill are the pages. Sometimes it is confusing where the page numbers are and how to scroll.

Overall, I have enjoyed my time using this software for high education purposes.

Pros

This is my fourth time using Mcgraw for textbook and assignments, I love this software. This is an easy-to-use program that assists in the learning of topic through well throughout assignments and activities.

Cons

The cost is a downside for me, the plus is an entire semester is covered but it is costly for program.

### "McGraw-Hill Connect - Enhancing the Learning Experience"

June 15, 2023

4.0

My overall experience with McGraw-Hill Connect has been positive. I no longer have to input grades in two different places.

Pros

One of the standout features of McGraw-Hill Connect is its ability to provide a wide range of course materials in the platform.

Cons

Some aspects of the product can be challenging to use initially. The interface may require some getting use to when link to the lms.

### "Opinion of Language Course Preptor"

February 28, 2019

3.0

Pros

Compared to its competitors Connect is falling by the way side. While some of the features are easy, like grading, the cons definitely out weigh the pros.

Cons

I have been using McGraw-Hill Connect for six years now in an administrative role, where I create master sites then share them to other teachers and myself. Then as a teacher role, where I assess student learning, create assessments, assign work, and provide feedback. So, as a platform, Connect is OK. A few years ago, its interface was more appealing that many of its competitors, but in the past couple of years, the competitors have really stepped up to make the language learning experience online a more collaborative experience, while Connect has stuck to the bare bones exercises that lack innovation, collaboration, and do not provide a fun experience that would help the students study for intrinsic reasons. Additionally, building the sites every three years when new textbook editions are released is a tedious affair. Moreover, the customer service for students is time consuming that hardly ever produces results.

### "Terrible product and service"

August 31, 2023

1.0

Incredibly frustrating and time-consuming. This service was not made for someone with a full-time job.

Pros

There are no pros. This is a bad service and I feel sorry for any student forced to use this service.

Cons

You have to purchase the material, and then pay a download fee to actually receive your material. McGraw Hill Connect states they have made it easier to learn....all they did was copy the questions so a user has to answer them twice. Terrible customer service that offers no resolutions. I feel that this is an incredibly lazy service for a university to use. Outsourcing work to a third party that truly does not care about educating the students forced to use this service.

### "McGraw-Hill Connect - Education in the 21st Century"

November 21, 2019

4.0

My overall experience with McGraw-Hill Connect has been positive. I sometimes feel that there are simply too many assignments, too much homework, and far too many quizzes, but at the same time, as a remote student, I'm saving tons of time that would otherwise be spent driving to a campus, and probably learning more in the process.

Pros

When I returned to college in 2017 to obtain my MBA, I was surprised how much everything had changed. For starters, I was earning my degree 100% online. This meant lots of e-books and e-learning tools, and both are found through McGraw-Hill Connect. What I like most about this software is that it's easy to get started and easy to maintain progress. The site stores your textbooks, and when you access a textbook, the application remembers where you left off. It's easy to tag and highlight text, sections, and pages. Toggling over to work assignments, you'll find these are easily mapped out so you always know what's due and when it's due (assuming your professor has properly set up the course, of course). I admit I found it all a bit intimidating at first, but now I quite enjoy the many features and functions this learning solution has to offer.

Cons

At times, especially when you first being navigating the site, it can be easy to get lost. And this, of course, can be really frustrating when you are on a class deadline. My advice is to navigate the site slowly and learn where everything is stored. A bit of practice will save a lot of headaches in the long run.

### "McGrawhill is NOT a product that should be bought"

October 7, 2022

1.0

Catastrophic

Pros

There is absolutely nothing I like with this product.

Cons

My students pay a huge amount of money for something that never works! I receive daily dozens of emails from my stressed students saying that they can't access their book to study and do the assignments. The E-learning is causing them troubles too. Everything is. I have tried to fix things with them but it was simply not working. This product is keeping away my students from learning. It is unbelievable! As a teacher using the platform, I can say that it is the least intuitive thing ever!!! Everything is sooooo complicated, even simple tasks that should take a second is a hard on Connect. Many teachers in my university are not happy with this product and we have been asking McGrawhill for few years to put their thing together and give a better product to us and most of all to the students but it never happened.

### "Poor Design"

July 10, 2023

3.0

This is a poor experience, and I find it very distracting from learning.

Pros

Having the entire textbook, and searching available online.

Cons

Very clunky interface. In the first few weeks, I've found that: the Smart Book assignments force students to interact with INCORRECT answers to uncheck them. Not only does this increase the rate of error, but if students answer them like every other test, they will get all the 'incorrect' ones wrong, because they don't select them. The software also (for accounting) presents cumulative problems that build on eachother. However, when you complete one problem, the software fails to show your answers that help you solve the next problem. So the student either has to screenshot the previous problem or go back and forth. This is true for multiple problem sets.

### "A website created just for profits"

January 24, 2024

1.0

My overall experience is alright however, I won't take a course again if the professor will be using this application in their course.

Pros

I like that my homework is easily accessible.

Cons

The worst part of this whole site is that when you get something wrong, there is no guide or tips telling me what I should do to fix my answers. There is no videos or attachments that I could watch to help me complete assignments. McGraw-Hill is worth billions of dollars and does not have the student in mind when creating around a curriculum. If you type in "McGraw-Hill Connect review" into the search bar and scroll down you will see Reddit posts from many other people saying how awful the website is. So I don't want you to think it is just me saying this. Instead of writing a review in Reddit, I thought I could go straight to the source and let you know that change needs to happen for the long term success of the students taking these courses. McGraw-Hill Connect is already successful, so please help the students be successful too! Thank you so much.

### "Exceptional Software"

October 29, 2020

5.0

The overall experience that I have with this software is completely positive and what is most important is the fact that we are able to teach our own children.

Pros

My wife and I have been using McGraw Hill Connect for our 5th and 6th grader for a few years and this software is outstanding. You can actually teach your children one on one and teach them exactly the way that the educators would do it in school. We use the student edition and the teachers edition and I can truly say, it is very very exceptional, like their grades. It was referred to us by a school administrator when my wife was working in the school, and now I send all my friends and family to their website to at least do a trial period, even for their college aged children. You cannot go wrong with this software.

Cons

The only thing that I do not like about this software, is the fact that I did not find out about it sooner. I can only imagine the kind of tools and resources that they have for Pre-K and K children.

### "Decent tool for class assignments/management "

February 6, 2020

5.0

McGraw-Hill Connect is very good for business classes and classes that use numerical data, but not so much for foreign language classes.

Pros

I used this when I was taking business classes. The format of how the homework questions are laid out in most classes is easy to follow. I also love how you can get hints or you can click the "book" link and it will take you right to the section of the book that the question pertains to.

Cons

The language courses on Connect are not very well-formatted. They will not give you any points if you make a typo which doesn't seem like a very good system. Also, it costs a lot of money, at $110+ per course (which lasts about 4-6 months).

### "The utter failure that is this software"

May 23, 2023

1.0

This is an overall disaster. I have never seen such a failure learning as a service. I will retain next to none of the information, almost guaranteed. I'm left with utter contempt for this software as it almost feels malicious how it holds the user hostage.

Pros

It is visually appealing. That is the extent of any positive aspect

Cons

Everything else. The testing/quizzes practically holds the user hostage for hundreds of repeat questions. The reading/knowledgebase is a mixture of conjecture, ambiguity and specifics making discerning an answer or forming a conclusion exceptionally hit/miss. The best bet to save time is to write down the incorrect answers and use them to proceed.

### "Interactive textbook increases information retained from reading"

April 18, 2019

4.0

Overall I think it helps me understand the material better and I think the pros definitely outweigh the cons!

Pros

This software has been used for many of my college courses and it has definitely helped me understand the material from the textbook better than if I were to be reading it on my own. Having the textbook be interactive, with important sections highlighted and questions being asked along the way, forces me to pay more attention and think critically about what I am reading. It also helped make my reading more efficient, because I was aware of what the most important sections were when I was being quizzed.

Cons

Sometimes if I just wanted to read the textbook without having the quizzes, or just read at my own pace, little reminders about how I had been reading for awhile and not looked at any of the questions yet could get very annoying. The software is great when you want to be using it but if you are trying to avoid it, it doesn't like not being used.

### "MyMath"

June 26, 2020

4.0

I have used the MyMath program for close to ten years. I would like to see more review embedded. I do not like the way they have multiplication in 3rd grade crammed into 4-5 chapters and not really spread out as it needs to be for mastery.

Pros

I like that students and I both have digital access to the text. In addition we have access to games and homework sheets.

Cons

The assessment software is very cumbersome. It is not user friendly. I have tried on several occasions to create test and it is not worth the time I put into it. It has potential to be powerful, but just not well executed.
