Cons Software is slow to load, authenticating students/courses is laborious and often needs to be restarted, and the mobile app might as well not exist for its minimal, slow functionality. Prepare for 3-5 minutes loading time on each page of the digital textbook. They are very helpful and will respond to either the instructor or students. I would recommend Connect to anyone. Pros It's functionality and ease of use, especially with a hard-to-teach subject like statistics. It really transforms teaching a quantitative subject, in particular statistics. Cons I found the set-up and then learning the features to need some time to learn. It's not hard to learn, but Connect is sometimes not intuitive. Pros I loved giving students practice applying concepts with technology. It helped me extend their learning without having to try to think of the best ways to do this on my own. A great supplement to book learning. Cons Sometimes my students struggled with the logins, the site would be down or school internet would be down and cause issues- I never have connectivity issues when we do paper/pencil work. It provides an online book that is connected to assignments. One thing that I like is that it links the homework to the book, and depending on how the instructor sets it up, there are many help options to complete the questions. You can also go back and review your homework and the steps on how to solve each problem. Cons I sometimes get locked out of the book or my homework. Aside from some minor tech glitches, I have no complaints. Pros I liked that there was always a way to get help in the homework sections. It actually helps re-teach the material that's used in the problem. Definitely depends on the subject of class it was being used for. Pros This software was not that difficult to use. All of my experience with this was used for online homework in college. It's easy to have one login to use for all of my classes. Cons I didn't find this to always be efficient. Pros This learning management platform is very simple to use. Cons This platform is pretty expensive that it is mandatory for students to purchase in order to complete assignment and exams. Also, I would prefer a physical textbook than a online book that would expired. During a timed exam, there were issues stopping me moving on to the next questions and it logged me out several times which caused me losing much time.
