J’aime sa facilité d’utilisation pour créer des pièces et des assemblages, même lorsque les projets deviennent assez complexes. Les outils paramétriques sont également très pratiques : lorsqu’une évolution de conception est demandée, les modifications se font rapidement sans avoir à tout reconstruire. La création automatique des plans de fabrication et de la documentation technique me fait gagner un temps précieux sur chaque projet Cons Le principal point négatif que j’ai constaté concerne les assemblages très volumineux. Dans ces situations, le logiciel peut devenir un peu moins réactif et nécessite une configuration matérielle performante pour conserver un bon confort de travail. I always liked working with Inventor. If you add too many constrains or the system is over complicated it has crashed a couple of times but it might be due to my laptop specs. In general I really like it. I'd keep using it. Pros Easy to use and robust CAD software. The user interface can be adjusted but it's not over complicated. I cannot comment on the value for moneybut I understand that it the cost was reasonable. The export options work well and the drawings are exctracted smoothly. Cons I think the add-in modules such as pipe and equipment were not easy to use nor easy examples or tutorials were provided. There are equipment vendors with in-house CAD software that gives you more capabilities to build standard systems than what Inventor allows. I'm missing a clear and simple pipe and equipment module where you could also define your own standard components with connectiond and fittings if you wish to. I particularly use it for creating designs for fabrication to send to third party contractors and it always helps the iberall design procedure. Pros The ability to turnnideas into an easily viewable 3D part is incredible. The basic actions are very simple and has prompts which show you how to complete such as 2d sketches and then pulling it out into a 3D shape. Cons Assemblies always seem difficult, wither mating physicslly or with rules it always seems glitchy and I havent been able to grasp it fully. Despite this I am able to assemble my parts but I can tell the relationships are not full. Although at first it may seem a little difficult to understand because of the complexity of its tools, with practice it becomes easy to use, certainly a software that is very useful. Pros I like that it has a wide range of tools for computer aided design, plus it has simulation tools that allow you to test your designs before producing them, one of my favorite features is the ability to automatically create blueprints based on your three-dimensional design, automatically creating views from different angles. Cons Being a specialized software it has a relatively high cost, this together with its high requirements plus its high learning curve is a high barrier to access it, so it tends to have certain features that could make it very complex for some users.
