### "Review on Gitscrum"

October 25, 2023

4.0

My experience using Gitscum is very satisfactory .. i was able to manage all jobs from clients and assign them effortlessly.

Pros

This software is the king.. Well I couldn't find it directly.... Because I wasn't informed directly about it.. I went through some testing before choosing it over others... The things I found out about it which made me love it alot is because of its flexibility in the user interface... I can easily create task easily from anywhere on the go and then directly assign the level of permission of people that can access that task and also their levels.. I would even receive real time notifications from the moment that task was opened or started to the moment it ends or it was completed.Another feature that even blew me away was the fact that I can even set priorities on task that should be worked earlier on.. All these with its easy interface just makes everything feels so easy going.

Cons

This software is the real G... there is no cons about it .. it was very good.

### "We switched from Trello"

August 8, 2019

5.0

Pros

We purchased a lifetime license in the early days to try it out and found that it did everything that Trello does, at least for everything we use it for. Very simple, easy to use/navigate and didn't need any tutorials or support.

Cons

I'd like a little more customization on how the cards are laid out (title, effort, assignee, etc). Maybe create a few different templates users can choose from based on the content that is most important to them and needs to be seen from the main view.

Every tech company uses a lot of different subscription tools so we're always looking for new innovative options that may, but not required, offer a better experience. If you can get the same experience/features for less money - that's a win.

### "GitScrum Does Not Honor Lifetime Subscriptions They Sell"

April 1, 2025

3.0

Go to their website. Go to their facebook page. Try to find a form or email address or phone number or address to contact them. I think they are located in Portugal but not sure. When a company won't openly provide means to contact them ... watch out!

Pros

I purchased a lifetime subscription when GitScrum was just starting out. I paid dearly for it. I thought that it would become useful in the future as my new business grew. Fast forward a few years and today, my lifetime subscription is not honored. I've reached out on their FaceBook page and I have contacted their support. The only response to why they want me to pay to maintain the lifetime subscription is a website page that explains nothing. Why won't they honor their lifetime commitment? Why won't they explain why they are asking for more money to maintain the lifetime membership/subscription?

Cons

The company does not honor their commitments. The lifetime subscription that I paid dearly for when they were just starting and needed the cash infusion is not being honored today.

### "It gets better and better"

July 30, 2019

5.0

Pros

Simplicity, customer support and frequent updates that get better every time.

Cons

I don't say this as a con because they are still improving and adding more features. It's still in the early stage. So, there are 2 things right now: 1. No mobile application 2. User Experience

Reason for choosing GitScrum

Gitscrum is a great tool for project management to keep track of everything, also the best thing I observe is frequent updates that get better every time. Previously, we were using Asana to keep track of development tasks and project but we came to the realization that it is overloaded with features. Also, our team was unable to understand Asana especially developers because of the learning curve but luckily we found Gitscrum and we are more than happy. We use Gitscrum Enterprise to manage our entire remote dev team without hustling too much on the task creation rather than work 😋

### "A great alternative to Trello"

August 1, 2019

4.0

We co-ordinate multiple projects with GitScrum, so that everyone can share information, even when they are off site. I have had some difficulty getting people to embrace the methodology, because they are from a paper-based system, but it has won them over.

Pros

The variety of ways to configure your workspace and the Kanban cards makes this a very good tool. I played around with different templates and lists, and it is really easy to change. The document storage with the subscription means that full projects can be managed with the system, no need to leave and search around your filing hierarchy.

Cons

Although changes take effect, the screen is not always up to date. You can add a field or a label, for example, and you only see it once you leave the editing screen.

### "Lifetime Deal Isn't Bad but..."

July 23, 2019

3.0

The software is okay. It accomplishes the requirements that our team needs, but we had to utilize the software in ways that it wasn't intended (we don't use User Stories, and instead strictly use Tasks, with Subtasks as needed, for example). I chose the software because other reviews I had read indicated that it was competent, it provided the functionality needed, the price was reasonable with the lifetime deal, and it appeared that their team regularly released updates to the software. Unfortunately so far there haven't been any updates to the software and none of my enhancement requests have even been responded to, we've been using the software for almost 2 months at this point.

Pros

\- The lifetime deal pricing. When I was searching for a tool to fit our team's need, this seemed to fit the bill. It was reasonably priced (no monthly fees). - Mostly has the organizational structure and features that our team needed (User Stories, Tasks, Story Points, Sprints) - Private Boards (Lifetime membership) - Unlimited Members (Lifetime membership) - Kanban/Scrum boards - Somewhat customizable

Cons

\- So far their support team has not responded to any of my enhancement requests (It has been weeks) - It mostly has the features that I needed, but some of the features are implemented in quirky ways. - You cannot assign point values directly to User Stories (weird, right?) - List of User Stories show up on your US list forever. There is no way to archive them once they are completed, to only view the US that still needs to be completed. - When you are looking at your list of Tasks on the Dashboard, there is no indication to which US the Task belongs to (you must open the task and then you can see what task it belongs to). - Board updates made by other members do not reflect until refreshing the page - Website is not mobile-friendly and there is no app for the software. - Member management is very shallow - Making changes across multiple project boards simultaneously does not exist - Scrum tools are lacking. (There is a burndown available per sprint, per project, but it defaults to burndown by tasks completed (not effort), which is silly, and no way to change the default behavior). - There is no dashboard to see all active sprints across the whole company (you must enter each project separately) - Some pages return 404 error

### "Check carefully if this is what you want"

July 30, 2019

3.0

I currently use Assembla to manage my own projects, and while I'm happy with it and all its comprehensive set of tools (git repos, ticket system, time control, wiki, etc), I consider it too expensive. I thought GitScrum could be a replacement, and was attracted by the chance to buy it once. Let me admit it was my mistake: I didn't do the proper investigation about the services offered, and assumed that GitScrum also contained private (git) repositories for the projects. But that’s not the case, GitScrum contains only the project management part. Having said that, I must say that the name of the tool/service is very misleading! I would definitely expect that a tool called GITScrum offered... well, git! I know I could eventually link GitHub or bitbucket accounts, but that kinds of defeats the purpose: I was looking for a self-contained tool, including having multiple repositories per project. My attempts to reach customer service to immediately cancel my purchase were totally ignored. So I ended up feeling this was just a Facebook-advertised scheme: a heavily social-network based advertising, with a very attractive pay-once pricing, for an under featured product. Disappointing.

Pros

Nice interface and look and feel, seems to be able to attend simple project management needs.

Cons

Very limited set of functionalities (contains only the project management part, no other features), and misleading name/advertising: doesn’t include git repositories in spite of the name. Customer support simply doesn’t exist, emails are not answered.

Alternatives considered

[Assembla](https://www.capterra.com/p/112631/Assembla/)

Reason for choosing GitScrum

Thought it could be a more affordable replacement - it’s not, as it doesn’t contain any functionality except project management.

### "Everything just so so, but the customer service is so BAD"

July 30, 2019

3.0

So recently I used scrum to develop software, and I come to GitScrum that proposes some interesting features. My first experience : The UI/UX was not good, compared with Trello. The performance was not so good. You need to wait for some seconds just to update the card. My team job is not updating the card, we are software developer which bunch of tasks. Another issue, my team made a mistake in a project setting, unfortunately, after that we (all) can't open project list page LOL. I tried to contact the customer service, there was no response at all, until now, from email nor chat feature in the landing page. I know it's a new brand, I can understand for some bugs, but you need your customer to get back to you, so please IMPROVE your customer experience!

Pros

The features are nearly meet my requirement.

Cons

\- UX was so bad - Still buggy (for paid software) - CUSTOMER SERVICE never response

### "Nice, It did beyond my expectations"

July 30, 2019

4.0

I found it productive and interesting to use it, more than Trello which was my ex to-go thing. I left it in favor of GitScrum.

Pros

The thing I liked most about GitScrum is the level of freedom it give us to create custom fields and other parameters what need to make most of it.

Cons

I think UI and UX still need to be improved. I often get puzzled and lost in the app.

### "GitScrum Solve My Teamwork with Small Budget"

Pros

My institution has a small budget to subscribe to kanban based project management; GitScrum came to save my teamwork with a single payment for a lifetime promo. I was lucky to get this chance and use GitScrum since to increase teamwork productivity. It easy to use, even for beginners.

Cons

### "Get your projects and tasks under control and done"

September 24, 2022

5.0

As I suffer from attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. staying focused is a struggle every day. I bought the app because I need to keep priorities before my eyes, daily, I thought it was so cool that I took Gitscrum to my work. You learn fast and adapt existing native models to your needs quickly.

Pros

Gitscrum has a small learning curve because it has countless ways to organize your projects. It's nice to test with the various tools to come up with a version that integrates with your workflow. One of the features I like the most is "time tracking". Another great thing is that when you find a standard format for tasks that you like, you can save a template and have that setup ready to use in new projects.

Cons

Gitscrum NEEDS TO HAVE more tutorials. It has so many user tools that I have a feeling it could make better use of its functionality. Ah! Gitscrum would provide us with a POMODORO timer, would be great and perfecte.

Reason for choosing GitScrum

I haven't found many other reliable LTD time and project organization tools like Gitscrum.

### "Bad Strategy for a Low Quality Product"

February 26, 2024

1.0

Bad Strategy for a Low Quality Product, I consider it as a scam how you force for upgrade, and now adding Ads to the product just to get more money

Pros

the idea was good to have onetime license and we paid the full amount but unfortunately the product didn't deserve to pay any money and the strategy of forcing the client to upgrade every time to be able to use the product we paid for it very low thinking

Cons

for me the whole thing is a scam since you will not be able to use the system without paying every time although you paid in full before for a life time deal. How could they come up with Ads to just make you pay extra!!

### "Company is scamming"

May 30, 2023

1.0

This company scams its users with arbitrary price and rule adjustments. We 'invested' in this company early on by purchasing a LifeTime deal. This deal was for a workspace with no limits on number of users, storage, etc. Now they want to force a monthly subscription on all users, which costs annually what we paid once as LifeTime price, or you can only store your data for 3 months, after that all data, tasks etc. will be deleted. What is especially bad, this was announced to us 1.5 weeks before the change was introduced. A completely absurd deadline.Stay away from this company and with it Gitscrum.

Pros

Full focus on task managementScam, do not use under any circumstancesUnfortunately, they have recently introduced rules that nullify my LifeTime deal as an early user of this software and force me into a subscription model.

Cons

Unreliable decisions. Users are not valued.Support answers with no sense of scamming its users

### "GitScrum, our daily ally."

September 23, 2022

5.0

We were looking for software to centralize all the work, measure the time, and be easy to use. and we find all inside GitScrum. I bought a perpetual license for our company and another one for my family to be able to order all.

Pros

All the features, the possibility to adapt the system to your own needs and with your own words, the time tracking, the price, and the opportunity to have a perpetual license are the most attractive features of this software.

Cons

Related to the software development, I think it would be better to integrate with a git platform, it would be another level.

Reason for choosing GitScrum

The easy adoption, the user-friendly environment, its grant chart, and the ability to apply scrum on it were the main factors.

### "Great tool for smaller projects, larger projects would benefit from more features"

July 24, 2019

3.0

Pros

Features I like: Tagging tickets to organize tasks in groups Time tracking (albeit I dont use it, I use separate application to track time and invoice clients) The structure seems pretty intuitive (company -> project -> tickets) UI is comfy, I don't think I ever had to search for a feature in frustration (given it was implemented)

Cons

Features I'm missing: I would like to see tickets fallover from ending sprint to a new one, and more fluid transition between sprints. In general, sprints currently have "nothing in common" with one another, and we stopped using them, instead doing everything on the Board planning screen, which then costs us the insight of having separate portions of work divided in sprints. This is probably my most desired feature because it hurts the ease of use when attempting to work in somewhat agile way. It wouldn't hurt to have an URL that would always point to current sprint in a project, but I think it hits the ceiling with sprints not really being timeline (calendar) based, rather just existing in the same space I would love to see more tight integration with Git based repositories, and with CI/CD pipelines as well. Jira for example couples commits with tickets based on prefix (ticket has id AB-123, commits with message "\[AB-123\] - commit message" are coupled and info displayed). Similar approach could be used to integrate with CI/CD pipelines and display build statuses or which environment branches/commits are deployed to. I know comparison to Jira might seem a bit unfair, but you folks are in fact competing with them on some level, so ...

### "Gets the job done. The new UI could have been better"

September 24, 2022

3.0

Pros

GitScrum is a great project management tool. It does help you manage teams and project for small and medium sized teams. It offers great features like sprint planning and performance tracking points as well.

Cons

The software is good but not the best! There are places where more work is needed and they offer almost zero support, so okay if you are ready to adopt their deals. You will need to refresh the software page once you edit a task, so that it work comfortably.

### "Do Not Overlook this Beauty"

December 21, 2019

5.0

Love this program, no more Outlook email invites required fur assigning jobs to field staff. Anyone with granted permissions can view the dashboard and know exactly what jobs are scheduled and who will be attending the job.

Pros

Real time activity, whether notifications, chats, or creating tasks. You can create projects and assign users and their permission levels. Chat in real time. It has a timer which you c a n assign to jobs so that the field staff are requested to Starr clock upon commencement of job and also stop the timer when Jon finished. This feature gives office staff and management a better overview of job coatings as they can review how long it took filed staff to compete the job. You can create your own tags for staff to assign to jobs, eg, Stuck, or Job cancelled, customer not home, needs rebook etc. Dashboard is in real-time so everyone assigned to the task can see exactly what is taking place.

Cons

Could not work out how to invoice directly from app.

Reason for choosing GitScrum

Great Dashboard and realtime usage as well as chat groups which Jobber lacked.

### "Lots of potential"

July 23, 2019

5.0

It is cost effective compared to competitors, it solved time tracking which is imperative for my company, and i like the kanban / sprint combination.

Pros

This is a hybrid between Asana and Jira - with the promise of being the best of both worlds. Great board management features and we love the checklists, workflow customizations, time-tracking, sprint management.

Cons

There are still a lot of UI bugs, phantom scrolling, export doesn't export everything for backups, I don't believe there is a backup of the projects, the sprint system is too "live" - when switching tasks from a closed sprint, you lose the accuracy of the burn down from the previous sprint. The support button was removed, so I can't send feedback easily. Some fields automatically save, others have a save button. I would like to be able to have the same task shared in different projects (like Asana can do).

Reason for choosing GitScrum

Features, promise of more features, cost.

### " 🚨 "Gitscrum seems more like a 'GitScam' " 🚨 Warning!"

May 30, 2023

2.0

🚨 Warning! Gitscrum seems more like a "GitScam". I've been a customer since 2020, I purchased a lifetime license and in 2021 I upgraded to support the company's growth, hoping to use the service in the future. This month, Gitscrum announced it will charge almost $30 monthly to keep data, otherwise, they will be deleted after 90 days. Which project management system can function if data gets erased? None. So, those of us who purchased licenses earlier have been defrauded. They've unilaterally changed the conditions, and data retention, essential for this type of service, has become an additional cost. If you also feel defrauded, join this group to explore legal actions, possible claims to payment methods, and to spread awareness of this malpractice. It's unfortunate that such situations occur as they breed distrust in purchasing this kind of licenses, harming other emerging companies.

Pros

The "lifetime" service with data retention was recommendable for its cost-quality ratio and optimal functionalities.

Cons

I cannot recommend this company. They modify the contractual terms unilaterally, demonstrating an unethical and possibly illegal behavior. Such conduct suggests that they could establish new policies in the future, ignoring the initial terms and looking for ways to justify such modifications, to the detriment of the spirit of the original service contract.

### "Excellent price and scalability; needs some cleanup"

July 23, 2019

4.0

Using GitScrum to plan IT and development of new platforms, tools, bugs, and ToDo's for users. Slowly expanding access to vendors working within our environment to have a cohesive Ops tool across many teams.

Pros

Inexpensive for infinite license, easy to navigate, many integrations to platform, quick to setup, intuitive to use.

Cons

Attempted to contact support however received no response, some functionality missing (such as the ability to remove tickets from user stories), configuration menus can be confusing for granular use, little in the way of community support, account creation can become complicated if an account already exists for another board.

Reason for choosing GitScrum

Unlimited licensing for $300, and lack of overly involved features we don't need in our business model.

### "Gitscrum - The project management tool you cannot pass"

July 23, 2019

4.0

For the price I paid to get into using GitScrum, it was a steal. I wish that more people would adopt GitScrum so that it can grow to it's maximum potential when more features get added to GitScrum. So far, I like what GitScrum has been offering.

Pros

The recent UI/ UX upgrade has drastically improved the navigation and usage of the software Very extensive integrations with other software The work log time feature is very useful to track the time taken to complete a task Many features and buttons but newbies will find themselves adapting to using GitScrum surprisingly quick

Cons

Updates are taking a bit long Occasional downtime but does not last a long time for each session Still has plenty of room for stability improvements and additional features

### "A Scrum Project Management Tool"

July 16, 2019

5.0

Pros

The scrum methodology is designed to provide a continue cycle of deliveries to the customers. With GitScrum you can use it as a simple project management tool, or incorporate the GitScrum methodology, with stories, sprints and track time, keep files neatly organised and talk about the project with the project members. This tool designed is very powerful, and allows white label. We use it daily.

Cons

It would be nice to have tasks and files to email, this way, customers would be able to send documents without the need to create an account.
