And I used many of them. I got my full return on investment on day one, from the time this tool saves. For those who are curious, I'm a consultant in business appraisal and financial modeling for SME's, I receive and process pdf's with financial information on a daily basis. Pros Many steps I normally would go through manually are now automatically done. Other similar tools will either let you split the data manually before extracting, or will fully do it on their own while extracing it on a single click. This is the first time I used a tool that does both, as it pre-split data and then lets me adjust it before extracting. This is a game changer. Cons The adjustments before extraction (such as adding a column, removing a table, etc.) could be more fluid. If I need to add 5 new columns, I should not have to click 10 times back and forth, as I currently have to (I click on "Add Column" once, then on the column to add, then on "Add Column" again, then on the second column, etc.) Review Source JP Jason P. When I go to print a document, it shows up in my list of printers as Able2Extract Professional Printer, however when I select it and print, nothing happens. With the Able2Extract Professional Printer, please try and uninstall Able2Extract from your computer. When that's done, check the Devices and Printers section on your computer to see if the Able2Extract Printer is removed. If not, right click on the printer and select the "Remove device" option. Then delete the Able2Extract folder and all of its contents from your computer's Program Files folder. Finally, reboot the system and re-install the software. Super easy to go from pdf to excel which is what we mainly use it for. Pros In my role, I need to transfer numbers from pdfs onto spreadsheets. It saves us a lot of time. Cons My version works well for me but it's hard to maintain because it keeps getting upgraded. I like the version I have and want to be able to move it from computer to computer as I replace my computer but after a few years I have to contact customer support to get my version as the download is no longer available. I would like to have a CD or something so I could continually download the version I originally purchased whenever I get a new computer. However, I feel like it's moving away from data extraction and becoming more concerned with PDF annotation. While I don't mind, I certainly haven't noticed much change in data extraction between the versions I've used. I feel like 14 was the best version. The more recent versions have been slower or have put out more "garbage" data. Pros I love being able to extract my data into various file formats. I use the Excel feature the most. However, I love being able to export presentations and import them into powerpoint. Cons I've found that the software either does well, or doesn't do well.
