Very successful and easy to use program.

Pros

The best tracking and analysis program for those on the way to institutionalization. The program I am on the most side of in terms of following.

Cons

Its updates should be more frequent. There is frequent contraction.

Pros

The thing I like most about this software is that it gives our employees an opportunity to see where other employees are volunteering which in turn inspires them to do the same. Before having this app, we had no idea what anyone was doing with regards to charitable work. This app really does make us feel like a stronger team.

Cons

I have found that sometimes the app will freeze or pictures won't load properly, but this seems to be improving with each software update.

The software allowed our firm to view and track volunteer work being performed by our staff, which in turn enabled us to recognize those employees who are really making a difference in their communities. This provided incentive to our employees to volunteer more in their communities because they can see how their colleagues are doing, what volunteer work they are doing and how many hours they are giving towards a cause.

Pros

I see Porpoise as the "LinkedIn" of volunteering. I love how we can see what our colleagues are doing in the community and how much they are doing. It creates a profile of individual employees as well as EY. Our purpose is "Building a better working world" and this tool help to actually put qualitative and quantitative proof to that. I believe that Porpoise has the ability to be leveraged on a larger scale across our firm, so we can show action against our purpose on a global level.

Cons

As I mentioned above, I believe Porpoise is the LinkedIn of volunteering. However it lacks several key features and uses that could really boost it's ability. I believe that the personal profiles should include space for other things such as specialization in volunteering, past experiences, favourite causes etc. and offer matching with volunteer opportunities in the community, similar to LinkedIn job mating. Also, add in the news feed some articles of good things being doing in the community and business world relating to volunteering and making a difference. I really like the tool but I do get bored with it easily. Increasing it ability can make it more interesting to its user and foster addiction similar to other applications.
