Pros: Amazon S3 provides the object storage with amazing web interface and a lot of features like scalability with great availability designed for 99.999999999 % on data durability. We can move our bucket's object to cost -effective storage class and the newly designed storage class 'S3 Intelligent -Tiering' move the objects based on access patterns. We can manage and monitor the objects with using tags and create the lifecycle of the objects according to tags. Multi-Factor Authentication can be enabled on delete operation which help in accidental delete operation. Versioning of objects can be enabled from bucket. The Cross-Region Replication helps in instant access.

Cons: Objects in the cloud are always vulnerable if firewall is not setup well. AWS snowball and snowmobile are either less availability or no-availability on geographical location.

Overall: Amazon S3 pricing is designed so well that we can limit our monthly bill for S3 using the bill alerts. Different storage classes from S3 Standard to S3 Glacier Deep Archive can be set as per the objects needs. Big Data analytics help to manage and analyse the data lakes.

Pros: Amazon S3 is probably the first solution that comes to mind for a company looking for cloud services. It's basically created the space and as such has incredible depth and breadth of services offered. AWS likely covers any type of scenario your company might need and with data centers all over the world, data latency is at a minimum. Its uptime is similarly among the best in class. There are also many options for server loads and speeds that can help keep costs low for fledgling companies.

Cons: As with most companies that come to define a space, they always have a target on their back. In practice that means that there are more and more solutions that compete with AWS. They may not compete 1 to 1 with it, but for many companies, there may be another provider that has better UX and ease of use along with cheaper prices for their setup. AWS suffers from bloat which leads to a UX that can be a bit intimidating and cumbersome. They offer so many different types of services that it can be daunting to peruse through the menus and submenus. Their UI is fairly utilitarian and while not ugly per se, it's not as pleasant to use and look at.

Overall: Overall, AWS is the safest bet in the cloud business. You can safely assume that it will be reliable, cost-effective, and cover basically any service that a cloud provider can offer. It's UI/UX is middle of the road and gets the job done. Having said that, there are other challengers that are providing compelling alternatives, making the decision not as much of a no-brainer as it used to be.

Pros: Amazon S3 as short for simple storage service.

It is a secure object storage ideal for keeping files that are used be aws services like Athena, Elastic Map Reduce, etc. We can perform ETL Jobs written HIVE queries on the data stored in Amazon Athena supported formats on S3 directly. Which provide great performance on huge amount of data.

Amazon EMR is another service that treat S3 as a type of local storage means cost and time of read-write operations in same region is as low as possible resulting in faster Job execution.

S3 is another place where all other services store there logs. Having a negligible cost makes it ideal place to store a huge amount of files logs and other.

Cons: Amazon S3 is a object storage.

We can update a file/object stored in it only way to update a file is to download it make the changes and upload it by deleting the old one in other words overwriting it. Which generate unnecessary read-write network bandwidth when we have to update small change in a large file.

Another drawback is its maintaining versions of same file. we can do it but not as easy as other file storage systems.

Also i find no way to integrating it with my local system like OneDrive is integrated into windows making hard to transfer file in and out of the system.

Pros: Amazon S3 is a Simple Storage Service by Amazon Web Services to store the objects. Best thing in it is that it is highly scalable and no latency (except Glacier). It's extremely low cost service. You don't have to worry about security, durability and flexibility once you jump to Amazon S3 service. Best part in it that you don't have to end-up buying your own hardware storage space which need professional IT support. In Amazon S3 we should be paying for that service only that you are using it.

Cons: As it's a object storage space you can not install the OS or some dynamic site on it. managing the firewall is also a challenging part. We can not handle the file system of Amazom S3 service. You should be intelligent enough while selecting the S3 options or you should be getting extra load in your billing dashboard.

Overall: Amazon S3 service is helping us in expending object storage on the go. It's helping us to save the money as Amazon S3 is very cost efficient. With the help of this we are also provide the security level that our customer need at the time joining or working with us.

Pros: Amazon Simple Storage Service also know as Amazon S3 is the one of the best service under the cloud solution with the most trusted name Amazon Web Service. Scalability is the one of the best feature we get under the hood of the Amazon S3 as you will never get out of space one the main time when you actually need the space and scale it back when we don't need it. Billing cycle is also very flexible and only charge you what you use. Operation Team can handle it and work under this is also infrastructure is more transparent.

Cons: Amazon S3 provide the object storage we can not run website all on it. It need helping hand from it's sister services like CloudFront, EC2 and RDS or Dynamo DB to make it really work. Managing firewall for it also one of the challenging part as you do not want the loophole in your storage solution.

Overall: Amazon S3 scalability is the best thing helping for our business. It's also very cost effective as you don't have to pay what you don't want to use. In the today era AWS is a big giant and everyone want to host it services one best infrastructure.

Pros: S3 has become the go-to standard for online artifact storage. It provides a great deal of options, from simply storing and receiving files, to hosting websites to programmatically maintaining application storage. Through effective and highly advanced security policies, S3 allows you to ensure no one else gets access to your data. The amazing integrations with different programming languages and frameworks via client SDKs allows programmatic integration with practically any software application that you may build.

Cons: The various options and configuration settings associated with setting up a simple S3 bucket can sometimes be overwhelming, and it may be hard to find the best fit for each situation unless you're an AWS expert.

Overall: Amazon S3 has proven to be the best tool to use when storing application-related artifacts, with great programmatic integration through its powerful SDKs.

Pros: Amazon S3 is an object storage service. It is highly scalable and data availability is also very good of all the different availability zones. Amazon S3 provide the 99.999999999 % (11 times 9) durability. It is the cost-effective storage as we can storage the objects in different Amazon S3 storage class. Best part in it is the old data move automatically move to the low cost storage class based on the access frequency. The cross-Region replication is helpful in to move the data into the local region to reduce the latency.

Cons: Amazon S3 should come up with the auto sync with the local drive option. Managing firewall for Amazon S3 is one important part and should be setup carefully AWS also help and provide suggestion on it but we should not follow it always. Buckets on Amazon S3 also helpful in running the low cost storage. We can not run a complete dynamic website on it.

Overall: Amazon S3 is the one the best and cost effective storage solution in the market. Storage management and monitoring is also easy can monitor using the Amazon CloudWatch. The Different storage class like S3 Standard-IA, S3 One Zone-IA, S3 Glacier Glacier Deep Archive help to reduce the cost of the storage if used effectively.

Pros: S3 is absolutely an expert tool, and as such is incredibly powerful. We use S3 throughout our workflow in a bunch of different places, and it solves a number of problems for us wherever we need to put files online (whether temporarily or permanently). For certain types of hosting and usage, the pricing is so low you can essentially forget that it costs anything and throw whatever you want at it.

Cons: The level of complexity in S3 is quite high, so even a process like setting permissions on a bucket feels like passing through some sort of inscrutable bureaucracy to some degree. While many AWS users are likely domain experts, for the rest of us who lack the time (or inclination) to dedicate as much time to learning the system, S3 can have an extremely steep learning curve and some byzantine ways of doing things.

Pros: The very low cost to host static website and photos. I was blown away how cheap this is! It's secure and I've helped host entire static websites on S3 platforms. I've spend less than $5 each month to host an entire website to promote products.

Cons: Limited use. If you have a website that is dynamic and requires a database, you cannot use the S3 platform. You will need to purchase their AWS instances and learn how to do that. On that note, the tutorials are very long - I recommend watching a video tutorial on YouTube. Technical support is not provided unless you pay for it.

Overall: For my purposes, it has been great. I am lucky to be familiar with website building and domain registrations that I was able to use this service quickly. They have a great plugin for WordPress you can save photos directly into your S3 bucket, although you will need to do some reading to learn technical side of it. All in all, if you need a service that is cheap, secure and very fast to host your static website, I recommend this in a heartbeat!

Pros: The best things I like about this product is ;

* Security.

* User Friendliness

* Customer Support

* Comprehensive Documentation

Cons: Downloading data is bit expensive. Mostly for the Glacier archived data retrieval . The worst thing is we are being charged the same amount for transferring data between AWS resources. If they introduce a different and fair payment scheme for this, it would be beneficial for most of their customers.

Overall: AWS S3 is the most cost-effective and the most reliable storage service, we have ever used. We have implemented this solution for an industry-leading software development company in APAC. Their primary concern was the security of the data object and the high availability. They also expected versioning enabled product from us. Finally, we decided to choose AWS-s3 after considering and comparing other verdicts solutions from different vendors. Finally, we were able to implement a highly secure, highly available and cost-effective storage solution for the client for less than one month.

Pros: I love the flexibility of S3. At my company, sometimes my team needs to store small amounts of data, and sometimes we need to store huge amounts of data (multiple terabytes) depending on what type of client project we are working on. With S3 we can easily ramp up our storage capacity when necessary, but then scale it back down when we don't need it. It is way more cost effective than purchasing our own in-house storage that would sit near empty most of the time. I also like how the data can be accessed programatically or through the user interface, so that both the technical and non-technical members of my team can access it.

Cons: S3 was a pain to initially set up. It might be because I am new to cloud storage, but when I was tasked with setting up some buckets on S3 for my team I had to spend lots of time trying to figure everything out. Luckily though, with the help of Google I got the hang of things and was able to figure everything out. The documentation for S3 can definitely be improved.

Pros: Amazon ticks all the right boxes with S3. It's security and encryption options are second to none, it's speed is as fast as your connection can handle, it's price is fair and reasonable within the 3 storage tiers, the lifecycle management is great, access control policies are very flexible and efficient, auditing and versioning are amazing.

Cons: The management console has been getting better over the years, but there's still room for improvements. A desktop client would be great too so we wouldn't have to rely on 3rd party tools for synchronizing data.

Overall: From cold storage to frequently accessed data S3 is all we use now in replacement of our legacy SAN ans NAS appliances, and everything is so much better.

Pros: Everything. I use it daily, and it never lets me down. Honestly, I would be out of business without it. S3 is not that hard to set up, and once you've done that, wow, it's a well-oiled machine. My customers appreciate how easy it is for them to access my files, and I love the speed.

Cons: S3 is a little intimidating to get set up. I had my guru son show me the ropes, which weren't all that difficult in the end, I was just, well, intimidated.

Overall: I use S3 to send images to my photography clients via zipped files. S3 sets me apart from my competitors, most of whom are still burning CDs or DVDs and snail-mailing them to their customers. S3 enables me to provide same-day delivery of my work, and wow, they love it.

Pros: It's easy to use, cost efficient (4 different cost models), secure ('11 nines' durability) and flexible. It's a building block of almost all serverless solution that you can dream of. You can store data, manage it retention using automatic lifecycle policy, inventory data (S3 Inventory) and run big data analytics directly on it (AWS Athena). You can even host your static website in Amazon S3. It's easy to integrate with almost all AWS services.

Cons: You can't run static web hosting using https without some additional services involved like CloudFront or Elastic Load Balancer.

Overall: Really secure, durable and elastic storage solution.

Pros: Amazon S3 is easy to use, fast, reliable and very affordable.

Another great thing about Amazon S3 is that it can be used to host static websites. This greatly reduces the cost of hosting compared to using a dedicated server.

I also like that Amazon S3 is tightly integrated with other Amazon solutions that we use.

Cons: One issue I've experienced regularly is that it's very slow when reading from Amazon S3.

I've also experienced occasional lags in the S3 browser.

Overall: We use Amazon S3 for storing large amounts of data and for backup. The price and reliability of Amazon S3 means that there's improved productivity and cost savings.

Pros: It will reduce the weight of your server, so api will respond in more faster way.

As Images and Videos take more data and if you use s3 bucket side by side your native server will take less load also it is easy to implement as available doc is sufficient for implementation.

You can upload, delete or fetch the file from s3 bucket in the easiest way. Code is available for both iOS and android.

Cons: I generally use to upload images and videos to the bucket and i have not find such a major issue.

Overall: I am using s3 bucket from more than 2 years and it is user friendly or i can say programmer friendly.

Pros: Amazon's Simple Storage Service (S3) is a game changer for our storage needs. The price is super cheap and it allows us to scale as we see fit. We do not have to worry about on-site storage solutions anymore and can have a peace of mind that data is stored and secure.

Cons: There was a steep learning curve to move all our existing data into S3. Also getting the engineering team to switch over was a hassle, but the documentation and services provided by AWS does make this process easier. One caveat to using this is that if you have updates to the files you have stored, you can only overwrite the file. You can't make in place updates to the files. This does cost a bit of read/write dollars (especially if it is a large file, with small update).

Overall: With the ease of use and the high availability provided by AWS. It is a no brainer to use AWS S3 as your cloud storage service. I would highly recommend this to all my organizations to adopt.

Pros: Amazon Web Services has brought a broad set of products to market, but S3 alongside EC2 was one of their first offerings. With S3, Amazon makes it easy to store anything in the cloud, for any application you can think of. Couple that with their distributed regions, and robust redundancy, you can transfer amount type or amount of data to anywhere in the world.

Cons: The product, like many Amazon Web Services, has a bit of a learning curve. However, if you follow the massive library of literature and tutorials, the concepts are fairly easy to grasp.

Pros: S3 can manage your data lifecycle automatically (move data from more expensive and fast storage type to cheaper but slower as data becomes older and less accessed). You can associate the buckets (storing unit, like a top level folder) to a Internet domain of your choose, so you can access the objects as they were on your server. You can put a CDN in front of it.

Cons: Maybe it's a little more expensive than competition

Overall: Mandatory if you are working on AWS environment, check other providers if price overall (not only the storage section) is critical.

Cons: Could be easier to use, has a learning curve as a lot of AWS services.

Lack of Image compression when uploading an image.

Overall: Great for uploads of pictures and data, you pay for what you use and your server can be free from space issues.

Pros: I love how cheap and how easy S3 is, as well as how reliable and resilient it is. I have confidence that stuff that I store on there is going to be safe from failure and attack. It's also a great platform from which to serve a content delivery network like CloudFront. All of which is a doddle to set up, hardly costs anything and works really, really well!

Cons: The pricing can be a bit confusing. For example, for some things I've always used Reduced Redundancy Storage because it's a even cheaper still and the reduced redundancy isn't an issue. However, it seems the standard pricing has now dropped to the point that it's bizzarely cheaper, and you get a message when using the web console advising against RRS. It's unclear exactly what the price difference is for various actions, so that could be made a bit clearer for those of us who don't have time look into it further.

Overall: I would say very positive. We have been in business for 19 years. The last 10 we have used Amazon S3 for our cloud solution. Amazon is very affordable, they have great dashboards to help you analyze your utilization which helps you scale up or down quickly as well as set up a new server.

Pros: S3 is, in the grand scheme of things, rather straightforward (most of the time). More importantly, it's flexible enough to do exactly what it purports to do: Store file. Simply(-ish).

Cons: The developers at Amazon have a weird idea about what "simple" means. Backblaze B2 is a pretty good example of a much simpler solution, albeit without as much functionality and without much in the way of SDKs (as of writing this). If you've never used S3 before, it'll take you a little while to get your head wrapped around how it works.

Pros: This is one of the few services inside of AWS ecosystem that you just can't avoid. It's a very simple file storage service. Because it's such an integral part of AWS ecosystem, it's very easy to use it with other AWS services (e.g. SFTP).

Cons: Nothing really when it works. Unfortunately there were a few down time, and when that happens, not only S3, but a bunch of other services in AWS are down, because they are all dependent on S3. Still, uptime is mostly 4 9's, so these occurrences are very rare.

Pros: The benefits with which this tool counts among others is that it allows us to generate scaleble, durable and secure backup copies of our priority and privileged data of the company. In addition, an information and error recovery information infraction can be established. fatal in the system due to natural, human and other disasters; This recovery can be done quickly and easily since the information is in the AWS Storage Gateway cloud, this is a very efficient hybrid storage service.

Cons: The costs vary according to the regions that Amazon has in terms of the provision of their services, on the other hand the service is subject to the compatibility that the company has with the systems and information that is generated in the organization that has as limit the maximum use of 5 terabytes per deposit, the other detail is in the flat, non-hierarchical structure of the storage. In my opinion, this standardizes the treatment and service to all the companies, something that in some cases does not correspond to the specialized and customized services for the management of determined data according to the size of a company.

Overall: It is a cost effective option for strategic data storage as long as you are in a region with a good cost structure. reduces the need for backup inventories with other online systems is a good option since Amazon is a globally recognized company which generates confidence in its services.

Pros: Amazon S3 is the storage service offered by AWS.

It's one of the first services offered by AWS (together with EC2) and it can be considered a solution for many different use cases, from personal usage to enterprise secure solutions.

It offers many options that balance cost and features and nowadays it's being used by an almost uncountable number of companies and products.

Cons: S3 has always been a bit weird in some aspects (like bucket names should be universally unique on the whole S3 service).

Also security configuration can be a bit tricky and in fact many companies experienced data leaks from their S3 buckets because they couldn't end up with a secure configuration or they simply forgot a bucket open.

Overall: I use S3 for personal and business projects, I never had a problem with it and I don't see why I should move to competitors (exception being the price perhaps).

Pros: It's easy to use, you can create buckets with ease and manage them. The space in AWS is actually cheap and the buckets can be encripted to add extra security to the data stored. It can be easily connected with other AWS options like Lambda or RDS to do a complete solution and can be accessed via code to retrive information when you need it.

Cons: The buckets can't be managed as I liked (like have folders of buckets) and when you have too many of them, it can get really messy. The library needed to use S3 in you code is somewhat heavy.

Overall: It helped the company to have an easy and low cost solution to the services we are providing to our costumers with the security we needed

Pros: S3 is a great solution for a company that processes a lot of data and need to save, store and eventually access transaction logs.

You can concentrate all of that information in a single place. The data is extremely durable and the system works great.

Cons: Its not easy to use at first. There is a learning curve to it and the free version will not have the corresponding support you will need.

Other than that, no complaints.

Overall: S3 solves the big issue of any organization. How do I keep my data secure and yet accessible?

We have been working with them and we have seen tremendous benefits, on our page load time by storing everything on S3 and uploading it from there instead of having our own server.

Pros: S3 provides an incredibly low cost solutions with a lot of benefits. I love the flexibility and the fact that you can maintain your S3 solution using a Python API. It is super easy and cheap to host a basic static site from your S3 bucket as well. If you have never tried S3 then you have to.

Cons: Setting up the solution is complex and definitely mostly for technically strong individuals. The security aspect is especially complex.

Overall: Low cost storage to use for personal and business use.

Pros: - Plenty of features to securely store and share your data

- Relatively inexpensive

- Easy to upload, download and share data

- Way to go if you build and run an application on AWS

- As AWS states, "99,9999999" percent of availability

Cons: - Maybe not straightforward for non-technical users, but I wouldn't really consider this as the service is mainly intended for technical users

Overall: A building block of your AWS app and a great storage option even if you don't use any other AWS service.

Pros: Amazon cloud storage has flexible storage options and it is reasonably priced. It has excellent security and reliable to business users. The web interface is easy to use and it is highly configurable.

Cons: The storage is cheaper but there are no applications to make use for users and have to rely on third party applications for desktop functionality. Though UI is good, sometimes in-built file handling is clunky to use.

Overall: Overall the best and cheap cloud storage which is secured.

Pros: S3 provides secure, developer friendly and cost effective and highly available storage solutions. It has great documentation and API usage is pretty simple. If your software needs storage or read/write to file you should definitely think about using AWS S3

Cons: The pricing calculations are confusing and it charges you if you download files from S3.

Overall: We are using S3 integrated with our software being developed and so far S3 provided 100% availability and API response rates was very great.

Pros: User/program access is perfect. API libraries are vast and well maintained. Storage is fast, easy to move to Cloudfront too. Access from public/private is just easy. Great for websites or personal/business storage. Storage costs very cheap. Billing is transparent. Ability to access logs as well if you want is a big plus.

Cons: None, S3 is nearly perfect. It could be cheaper I suppose.

Overall: S3 is one of the best and most reliable storage solutions I've used in my entire career.

Pros: S3 is one of the simplest, but most flexible services available in Amazon Web Services. The flexibility of size of all S3 buckets, the integration of features from lambda functions triggering access or writing, or most simply the storing and delivery of static assets for web apps. S3 is a cornerstone for any modern web app.

Cons: Honestly nothing, aside from the documentation being somewhat hard to follow at times when setting up S3 configuration with some applications. Steep learning curve, but worth it.

Overall: Use of enterprise-scale S3 buckets to deliver static assets, result of Python scripts that manage database migrations.

Pros: Amazon s3 is secure and a stable platform. We use amazon s3 for to store our permanent data like DB backups, file uploads and all, its the cheap, easy to integrate and use cloud storage system. Our team absolutely rely on amazon s3.

Cons: There are no such cons of Amazon s3 except the fact that it recently crashed in 2017 due to a small mistake by their developer, It had huge impact on our system. Apart from that its amazing and highly recommended product.

Pros: A cost-effective way to host larger media. Once set up, the interface is easy to navigate and reliable. The uploading interface and feedback are outstanding and the best I have ever experienced. Their rates are extremely competitive.

Cons: There is a learning curve when you are getting it set up and you have to be willing to pay if you need even the most basic support from a human. Considering what they charge, this is reasonable.

Pros: For what we do Amazon S3 has made storing content, sharing large video files and streaming videos. We haven't even tapped into all of the applications found on Amazon S3.

Cons: Haven't tapped into all the applications offered on Amazon S3 to have any cons at the moment. It would nice for an auto restore for file accidental deletes. AS3 isn't for the lighthearted.

Overall: AS3 is worth giving a once overview and using as your in the cloud storage.

Pros: Because of it's popularity, almost all cloud-mounting softwares support the ability to mount S3 on your computer as a local drive, making it easy to access and edit files without downloading and uploading each time. With high-speed Internet, it's basically done in real time.

Cons: I don't like the buckets, as they, to me, seem to be just a folder with a fancy name.

Overall: My overall experience with S3 has been overwhelmingly positive.

Pros: I love using it as an intermediary caching mechanism. With versioning and caching enabled on my servers on top of fetching resources from S3, I get both a resiliant and easy to set up file management system.

Cons: I do dislike how opaque some of the access errors are to read and assess. I understand that a lot of this stems from them needing to be vague due to security but that doesn't make it any easier to fix issues.

Pros: I really like S3. It is an easy way to store any data I want in a figurative bucket online. It truly has revolutionized my workflow.

Cons: I wish that S3 had better filtering of what was coming into the bucket. You could upload malicious code to your bucket and there are no filters against that in the upload process.

Overall: I can store literally anything I want digitally in an S3 bucket. This has completely changed how I deal with customer data, and is a lifesaver!

Pros: S3 is a object storage device and provide us unlimited storage to upload the data. It's provide us encryption, version control, high availability and scalable with no latency. We can upload 5 TB of file at a time in S3. No any physical storage required for us to store the data and we pay for that only you are use.

Cons: We can only store the data in S# because this is a object storage.

Overall: We are using this storage in our organization since 2017 to store log files and application backup as well as for DMS server. Finally I can say that we are very happy to use this service in AWS cloud to save cost and time.

Pros: We use AWS S3 with many of our clients. Their service is incredibly reliable, secure and affordable. The pricing is based on how much storage you are using and when, so you're only paying for what you're actually using. S3 allows you to ratchet down security so that files or buckets are only shared exactly how you want. This can be especially useful in cases of downloadable products in an eCommerce store for exammple. we also use it for video for many of our clients in conjunction with AWS's CDN solution Cloudfront.

Cons: AWS can be daunting to newbies. There's a learning curve but is worth it for the power and functionality.

Overall: I highly recommend Amazon's S3 service to anyone looking for a highly reliable, versatile, secure, and affordable platform to store any kind of file.

Pros: Makes it easy to host assets for my websites, including images, CSS, and JavaScript.

Cons: Can be problematic for my website if Amazon goes down, which has happened occasionally.

Overall: I've used S3 to host images and other website assets for a variety of applications. It takes the load off my webserver so I don't have to have as many resources just for serving static files. This has been a great feature. The S3 tools are also great for managing permissions, copying files, and the like.

Pros: Security is the best in the industry

Great pricing

Cons: There's a simple UI for management and operation, but S3 is missing a native sync app for the non-technical business user. But there's lots of 3rd party apps out there to fill this little gap.

Overall: S3 made our on-premises NAS and SAN obsolete. It excels in every area, and it's where all our business storage now resides.

Pros: Amazon S3 is cheap, and it's exactly as it sounds: a simple storage service. While it is obviously useful for storing static objects and files inexpensively, it's also very useful as a host for static websites. I like to use it to host websites generated by Jekyll-- S3 supports using a CNAME for virtual hosts to point to their servers, which is very useful for this purpose. The security and access settings are fairly simple to declare and set up.

Cons: For static hosting I wish that it were possible to use a different type of record than CNAME to avoid the www. prefix. I wish that the SDKs were less complicated--the Ruby SDK seems more complicated than it has to be, and 3rd party libraries like boto for python seem to be better designed.

Pros: Infinitely extensible

Can handle really huge amounts of loads

Can be extended to contain any type of content

Extensive documentation

Support for multiple programming languages

Cons: Complex pricing scheme, specially when reading data

Downloading data can be a little expensive

Overall: For our business we rely on S3 to have backup of every data that flows through the system. It works wonders since it scales infinitely and can handle all the load easily. It also generates events when something occurs (like a read/write/update) and we can react accordingly. S3 has really helped us scale up our storage needs at a real fast pace.
