It gives clarity and overview and that is what I like. Pros After reading the book and looking for a way to implement the 7 habits in my life, I found a link to this tool. Only 2 days in my free trial I was already convinced that this was the tool I need. I tried a lot of different online tools to keep track on my ToDo's, both personal and business, but never found a tool that also keeps track on my goals. This tool has it all and greatly helps me to keep focus and track on all aspects in my life. Cons The only thing I had to figure out was how to properly use Week Plan. I viewed the video a couple of times and found it helpful in the practical sense, but it took me a few days to get the proper flow. But once I had it, it works. I am a doer, and creator, with lots of responsibilities in many areas. This plan allows me to toss in everything I do, need to get done, and hope to get done. I can schedule and I can add recurring items daily, weekly, and monthly. I would be lost without it. Cons It is a bit costly (not really compared to others.) I think it is very good and helps me to organize myself. The Inbox screen works very well to place tasks that arise during the week and that can be placed in the gaps between the various tasks. The Vision option helps to have a long-term vision. It also allows you to organize goals by quarters, which is very useful in the long term. I love the kanban board. Cons Sometimes there has been a failure and I have had to leave the page. I would like to translate it into Spanish. Definitely Week Plan has crushed it! Pros Definitely I must say that productivity and organization are things so relevant that entrepreneurs or anyone that work, needs to have. Week Plan has helped me to improve that and much much more. The software is so easy to use and I love everything about it. Cons The only thing I would say, is that at the beginning it may be different to use and what I mean is that if you are accustomed to be a person that is not organized, it feels different but in a good way. Pros IMO Week Plan represent the best personal time mangagement system available. I offers a system that can track all off your task and obligation and give you peace of mind like David Allens GTD. It forces you think strategically about objectives and how you want to achieve them. And it solves the problem of ever growing to do list by forcing you to choose and what to prioritize every week. Finally it makes you schedule time for the things that needs to be done - without losing flexibility. Cons Integration with iCalendar and Exchange is very rudimentary. If the company could fix this the product would be almost perfect. Also when you type in new tasks on your phone there is a time lag before the desktop version is updated - unless you push the oddly located refresh buttons. I love the flexibility of being able to view tasks in different contexts. I can set my year-long objectives, view them by quarter, break down the tasks and milestones that will get me to my goals, and mark which week in the quarter I need to hit the milestones; then when I switch over to the weekly planner view, Week Plan tells me I have unscheduled high impact tasks, and I can drag & drop them to the day and time I want to work on them. Or, I can switch to a quadrant view based on the 7 Habits quadrants (Urgent & Important, Important but Not Urgent, Urgent but Not Important, and Not Important & Not Urgent) and see exactly how effectively I'm scheduling my efforts. Pros The robust integration with Google Calendar is a must-have for me. Being able to push/pull from multiple Google calendars lets me integrate my tasks with my schedule across multiple platforms I use that also integrate with my Google calendar, so I'm always clear on what's going on without having to switch around among multiple apps. Cons It can be a little glitchy when making certain changes to a task - for example, when adding a role to a High Impact Task under Objectives, the screen often goes blank and I have to back out and refresh the page. I also use the boards to keep lists that are both work related and personal. Pros I searched high and low for a software that shows time and tasks scheduled in colour-coded blocks. Helps me to see what my day looks like in a literal glance. As someone with multiple projects on the go at all times, this is essential in helping me maximize my time and look ahead to multiple and shifting deadlines. The "week view" and "monthly view" are also super useful in this regard. The ding when you complete a task is also MOST satisfying. Cons WeekPlan is still relatively new ,with new features coming out regularly, so at times it can be glitchy. However, whenever I've encountered an issue, the customer service people set things right very quickly. There are a lot of features I don't use, and so I don't feel the need to opt in for the paid service, but I can see how they would be useful to people who plan/schedule in other ways. Reasons for choosing Week Plan It's been too long to remember all the other alternatives I researched, but no other one had all the features needed for a visual planner like myself.
