July 9, 2026 5.0 Their customer support team is so responsive and incredibly kind. Love the product and constantly recommend it to other nonprofit friends. Pros Fundraise Up is an incredibly user-friendly platform that's on the cutting edge of the latest digital fundraising trends. We've been nothing but pleased with how easy it is to use the tool and the seamless check out process it offers our donors. Cons There's very small tweaks I would make to the product. Some additional reportable fields I wish were available such as a total transaction fee field. There are also some fields with the Virtuous integration I wish were available. Their peer-to-peer tool isn't as robust as Classy, but my understanding is their actively improving it. They offer so many great features and have been great for the years we've used the platform. Pros I enjoy the ease of the system and how much it can elevate the fundraising experience for your donors. With access to amazing elements, a reporting dashboard, and a donor portal, FundraiseUp does it all and for free. They do not charge for the platform use but based on each gift transaction at a competitive rate. The platform is easy to learn once you get into it. FundraiseUp offers multifactor authentication so you never have to worry about your donor's information being at risk. The platform also allows you to invite other team members on different permission based systems for what you'd need. Their customer and technical support teams have also been great whenever I needed their assistance. Cons The only con I could say about FundraiseUp is that they currently do not have event management software but they have assured me that it's on the roadmap. My account rep keeps changing which makes me think that they are not the best company to work for. Pros There are a lot of things I like about it. Ease of use, ability to create donation pages quickly are 2 examples Cons 1\. For sure the cost--they gobble up a hefty percentage on each donation. I have emailed them multiple times about this but they don't respond. The total fee including Stripes 2.2% (for non profits) is usually around 7-8%. They will tell you "donors cover those fees 80-85% of the time." What they don't tell you or know, is despite donors covering the fees, how many email complaints I get from donors about the high fees. I spend a lot of time "defending" FundraiseUp and their exorbitant fees. 2. The campaign pages are not very versatile. You are limited to your logo, space for a header/pic and text. 3. Their campaign pages are not robust enough---for example I was trying to do a campaign were donors can sponsor different items. I wanted to have a checkout where they could choose an item to donate and quantity. FundraiseUp can only create a dollar amount and description. There is no possibility for anything else. I asked them if they have a thermometer that I can put on my donation page--they don't have it--they just have a progress slider which is not the same thing. There are very few elements that they offer for your campaign pages. 3. They have no integration for donating using a card swiper like Paypal has or Square. At events this is so critical but they don't have it. 4. When a donor donates they get an automated receipt/response which is used for filing their taxes. However, at the end of the year many of my donors as me for a consolidated report of all their donation in one document they can file for their taxes. I have to tell them that they got a doc each time they donated. Now some of the donors have give 10-20 times over the year! There is a shared purpose with transparency and authenticity along the way. Many vendors try too hard to 'sell' their features and benefits. Fundraise Up presents themselves as collaborators and problem solvers and not a 'band aid' to fix broken systems. I'm grateful for their guidance and partnership during our entire transition and we are finding more and more benefits of the platform that will continue to increase our fundraising efforts. Pros I appreciate that Fundraise Up is constantly iterating to improve their product based on customer feedback. Their philosophy is that they are not successful unless the client is successful and we have found that to be true. Cons It's hard to identify a 'least' favorite related to Fundraise Up when our experience has been largely positive. One thing I might address is some of/how the data gets pushed to our CRM through the integrations isn't ideal. But these are issues the team is trying to help us resolve. We recognize that a single platform cannot be all things to all people. But gosh, Fundraise Up does a great job in trying to help us problem solve when we identify these challenges! The value for the cost of the system is outstanding. Cons There are no user-ready reports. This could be improved. Typically, LYBUNT and SYBUNT reports are available in fundraising software. These and simple reports all have to be built through exports. Pros Not only does Fundraise Up power our online giving (and acknowledgments), but they have a number of elements to enhance giving on an org's website. If you visit our website now, you'll likely see the "social proof" element, which highlights giving for whichever campaign the org enables. Also, the pre-gift and post-gift upgrades to monthly giving has been a powerful tool for growing our recurring gift program without much staff lift. For example, in the first two months of 2026 alone, we had 88 new monthly donors sign up through FRU. Cons We have had a couple of savvy donors question why the fee is so high when they opt to cover transaction fees. Pros The dashboard is the most user-friendly and I REALLY like the machine learning capabilities which helps us with higher conversion on donations. And the integration into our website has improved online giving because it's front-and-center (and not in an obnoxious way!) and easy to use. A few of our donors have a recurring complaint that the fees seem higher, but we have better messaging now about what the fees do in terms of what the fees cover and that they allow us to devote more time to our programs. Thank you Fundraise Up!! Pros With it's automated integration to our CRM, and easy integration into our website, we are able to save time on data entry and spend it instead on communicating with our donors. The integration was quick and Fundraise Up support staff made it simple. There are some features that would make Fundraise Up easier to tailor and integrate into our specific need, but in the short time we've used it, we've enjoyed several product upgrades, and we've found Fundraise Up people to be great listeners! Cons Fundraise Up is really easy-to-use. Graphics was sort of a trial-and-error process, but Fundraise Up has improved its user-friendliness there. Would like more types of reporting available (but export, to work Excel, is comprehensive) so I could more easily sync minor system details with my CRM that do not work the way I had hoped. As far as integration with our existing business processes (such as backend financial reconciliations), we have more detail work to do, but with Fundraise Up, the detail is possible. Besides seeing an increase in overall donations, we've seen less abandoned checkout, increased monthly donations, increased mobile donations, and increased coverage of transaction fees. Pros The Fundraise Up platform is easy to use and implement and you'll immediately see gains in online donations. The team is supportive and always there to give helpful tips to maximize your giving. Cons Fundraise Up is a mass market tool and encourage gifts mostly at the bottom of the pyramid. January 8, 2021 5.0 Fundraise Up has really added fresh fuel to our fundraising efforts. Pandemic or no pandemic, our organization cares for more than 600 orphans around the world. FRU has certainly played a role in achieving our goal of "not one child missing a single meal" thus far. Pros I was a bit skeptical at first because the platform promised so much. Can they really deliver? Then, during a major fundraising webinar (that I signed up for months before I even heard about Fundraise Up) I realized that my favorite speaker of the entire event turns out to be our onboarding expert! Go figure! Fundraise Up transformed our fundraising efforts. Love the recurring giving option. This fundraising platform does deliver on what it promises, and then some. Development Coordinator Non-Profit Organization Management Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "A good but expensive choice" December 10, 2020 5.0 Pros FundraiseUp has made our donation platform much for appealing for donors, has been more likely to get us monthly donors, and the admin and reporting has been very easy to unpack. Cons The fees are a tough thing to get over. As a small nonprofit, it doesn't feel good to see your donors' dollars going to pay for the service of fundraising instead of your programs. Most of our donors pay the fees, which is great! But it's double the amount they were paying on our integrated platform. Obviously, the service and product is great and costs money -- just saying it's hard to see money, whether we pay it or donors pay it, going to a third party. Cons The integration could've been a challenging task but the support team did an outstanding job with walking me through it, which provided a full understanding of how it works. Pros It is like adding a development team on our website, and our donations amount has increased each month. Cons At the very beginning we needed some features to work with our donor software and they made it happen. It’s great to finally see these sophisticated tools available to our industry! Pros Incredible features, far beyond similar service offerings on the market. Cons There isn’t much negotiation available on their fee structure, but it is reasonable and helps pay for continued platform advancement and improvement. They recently released an integration with Raiser’s Edge NXT which has been a huge time saver. Their customer service is A+. Cons Honestly, I don’t have any cons. Even the most minor annoyance is fixed quickly by contacting customer service. And they often release updates so it’s improving all the time. We have more people signing up for monthly donations, and more donors completing online gifts than before. The nice design and quality of the page is definitely the best part Cons It would be great to be able to add new recurring donors in the backend of the system.
