July 9, 2026 5.0 Their customer support team is so responsive and incredibly kind. Love the product and constantly recommend it to other nonprofit friends. Pros Fundraise Up is an incredibly user-friendly platform that's on the cutting edge of the latest digital fundraising trends. We've been nothing but pleased with how easy it is to use the tool and the seamless check out process it offers our donors. Cons There's very small tweaks I would make to the product. Some additional reportable fields I wish were available such as a total transaction fee field. There are also some fields with the Virtuous integration I wish were available. Their peer-to-peer tool isn't as robust as Classy, but my understanding is their actively improving it. We use it regularly for our online fundraising efforts, from general donations to specific campaigns throughout the year. It gives us a lot of flexibility while still making the giving process simple for donors. It has become an important part of our fundraising and digital marketing efforts, and I appreciate that we can create a professional giving experience without having to make every update through a developer. Pros Fundraise Up has made the online giving experience much easier for both our donors and our team. The donation forms are clean, easy to use and work well across devices. I also really like how customizable the platform is and how easy it is to create different campaigns and giving opportunities. The reporting and donor information are helpful, and overall it has helped us create a much better online donation experience. Cons There can be a little bit of a learning curve when you first start using some of the more advanced features and customization options. There are also times when I have to spend a little more time figuring out where a particular setting or report is located. My account rep keeps changing which makes me think that they are not the best company to work for. Pros There are a lot of things I like about it. Ease of use, ability to create donation pages quickly are 2 examples Cons 1\. For sure the cost--they gobble up a hefty percentage on each donation. I have emailed them multiple times about this but they don't respond. The total fee including Stripes 2.2% (for non profits) is usually around 7-8%. They will tell you "donors cover those fees 80-85% of the time." What they don't tell you or know, is despite donors covering the fees, how many email complaints I get from donors about the high fees. I spend a lot of time "defending" FundraiseUp and their exorbitant fees. 2. The campaign pages are not very versatile. You are limited to your logo, space for a header/pic and text. 3. Their campaign pages are not robust enough---for example I was trying to do a campaign were donors can sponsor different items. I wanted to have a checkout where they could choose an item to donate and quantity. FundraiseUp can only create a dollar amount and description. There is no possibility for anything else. I asked them if they have a thermometer that I can put on my donation page--they don't have it--they just have a progress slider which is not the same thing. There are very few elements that they offer for your campaign pages. 3. They have no integration for donating using a card swiper like Paypal has or Square. At events this is so critical but they don't have it. 4. When a donor donates they get an automated receipt/response which is used for filing their taxes. However, at the end of the year many of my donors as me for a consolidated report of all their donation in one document they can file for their taxes. I have to tell them that they got a doc each time they donated. Now some of the donors have give 10-20 times over the year! They offer so many great features and have been great for the years we've used the platform. Pros I enjoy the ease of the system and how much it can elevate the fundraising experience for your donors. With access to amazing elements, a reporting dashboard, and a donor portal, FundraiseUp does it all and for free. They do not charge for the platform use but based on each gift transaction at a competitive rate. The platform is easy to learn once you get into it. FundraiseUp offers multifactor authentication so you never have to worry about your donor's information being at risk. The platform also allows you to invite other team members on different permission based systems for what you'd need. Their customer and technical support teams have also been great whenever I needed their assistance. Cons The only con I could say about FundraiseUp is that they currently do not have event management software but they have assured me that it's on the roadmap. There is a shared purpose with transparency and authenticity along the way. Many vendors try too hard to 'sell' their features and benefits. Fundraise Up presents themselves as collaborators and problem solvers and not a 'band aid' to fix broken systems. I'm grateful for their guidance and partnership during our entire transition and we are finding more and more benefits of the platform that will continue to increase our fundraising efforts. Pros I appreciate that Fundraise Up is constantly iterating to improve their product based on customer feedback. Their philosophy is that they are not successful unless the client is successful and we have found that to be true. Cons It's hard to identify a 'least' favorite related to Fundraise Up when our experience has been largely positive. One thing I might address is some of/how the data gets pushed to our CRM through the integrations isn't ideal. But these are issues the team is trying to help us resolve. We recognize that a single platform cannot be all things to all people. But gosh, Fundraise Up does a great job in trying to help us problem solve when we identify these challenges! A more streamlined workflow would save time, especially for organizations that frequently launch new campaigns or seasonal appeals. It would also reduce the chance of inconsistencies between campaign settings and donation forms. While this isn't a major issue and certainly doesn't outweigh the platform's many strengths, simplifying the campaign creation process would improve the overall user experience and make an already excellent platform even more efficient for nonprofit teams. Some (including a Board Member who is herself in Development) have actually reached out to us to tell us how much they enjoyed the checkout process. And I am confident we are raising more money thanks to the intelligent features: visual cues to nudge the donor to give monthly, suggested giving amounts, customizable checkout questions (about 30% of donors are telling me how they discovered us and why they are giving), integration with Double the Donation makes it SO easy for the donor to indicate an employer match (we've gone from 0 matches to 32, and some of those are recurring gifts!), the ability to filter and search for all of this data SO easily. It's a joy to use! At first we got FundraiseUp as an integration when we migrated to Kindful (which has integrations with Mail Chimp and DonorSearch - wouldn't you like to see the donor's wealth screening right in his or her profile?) but I never imagined how much we would love it. Make yourself and your donors happy...and Kindful is now merging with Bloomerang, which has the best education platform for fundraisers (IMO). Cons Our \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\] balked at first at the 3% fee, but we managed to convince him that the ROI would be positive - and it is. 84% of our donors have covered the fees. You can't put a price on making donors happy. It is the foundation of donor retention. Period! If you're looking for a platform - look no further. Fundraise Up is the absolute best - especially since there are no monthly fees! Cons Perhaps a native integration with Mailchimp so that emails can be sent/tracked from/to Mailchimp would be incredible. December 10, 2019 5.0 We migrated to FundraiseUp from a huge all-in-one system that was giving us problems. As a small, two-person development team without a coder on staff, we weren't able to manually customize our old forms and they just felt archaic. With Fundraise Up, their entire system is customizable and easy to use by the layperson. We just went through our first #GivingTuesday with FundraiseUp and increased our online revenue by 72%. I'd love to believe this is because of my hard work and expertise, but I've got to give lots of credit to the platform! Pros There are so many things we love about Fundraise Up, it will be hard to list them all here. I love the customizable URLs, the ease of use, the data-driven suggested donation amounts, and the ability to customize. Setup was \*extremely\* easy and it's simple to duplicate campaigns. The software is the best that I found after trialing and researching several other Fundraising platforms on the market. Fundraise Up is the answer to raising the max amount of funds from all generations - I no longer feel like I am going to risk losing a donor because of long, outdated forms that want so much information in order to give money. The millennials and gen z will feel engaged because of the capabilities to also use Google and Apple Pay. There is literally no one left behind in the design of this software. I am very happy with this company and will be recommending you for years to come. Cons Not having the ability to build a campaign page that doesn't have to be built and hosted on my own website. The staff were incredibly friendly and quick to answer questions. I especially love the user experience and I think the easier donations can be made the more donations we'll recieve. Pros We just launched our first campaign with this software and so far I love the ease at which users can make donations. So far we've seen an increase in donations simply because donors can easily use paypal or apple pay to make gifts. What helped make the switch was the easy integration with our current CRM (Bloomerang). Cons Not everything syncs with the CRM so there is still some manual entry to be done on my part and the emails don't easily open the transaction in our CRM ( like our old forms did) so it just makes the back end work a little more cumbersome. Pros I like that it is very used friendly and I am able to keep track of the donations. I also like that it gives each donor their own profile to update. Cons There are not any cons that I can think of or complaints that I would have. Everything is a good as I imagined it would be when we integrated. It allows us to have easy-to-use elements on our website, encourage donations gently but effectively, bolster our monthly giving program, and even cut down on the amount of credit card fees we pay because Fundraise Up encourages donors to cover the fees themselves!Plus, their customer service is quick to respond, answer questions, implement ideas, and help us understand and best utilize their software for our needs. We only wish we started using the service sooner. Pros I work for a global nonprofit that really needed to reimagine how we process mobile giving. FundraiseUp was our answer. It is beautiful, user friendly, mobile friendly, and dynamic, allowing us to do all sorts of different campaigns that all look unique and visually exciting for the donor. Looks great and easy to use. Cons There isn't an option to give monthly through PayPal but I think that is on PayPal's end. There is also a minimum giving level for donations through ACH but again, I don't know if that is because of Fundraise Up or not. It's incredible complex but we are working on providing that option very soon! Regarding ACH minimums - we have research on this. :) Often, a small-amount donation via ACH ends up being abandoned as it's quite a "hassle" for the donor to confirm their micro-deposits for $10 donation. In order to avoid losing this donation, we steer them toward other instant-payment methods in the interest of the nonprofit organization. Hope this helps! JS Jennifer S. My favorite thing about Fundraise Up is its ability to integrate with our CRM software. The ability to automatically push donors and donations into our CRM has saved me hours a week manually adding donations. Cons It's hard to come up with anything to complain about with this software. " March 15, 2021 5.0 In a time of great difficulty, we've had to think outside the box for school fundraising. This is what brought us to FundraiseUp. The software was fantastic and the result was even better, but the real hero of the process is the customer service. I had \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\] and she 100% was the deciding factor on why I chose FundraiseUp for our biggest school fundraiser of the year. I'm so glad I did and I literally can't sing her praises enough. Thanks to her hard work, warmth, and patience with me our elementary school brought in a very large amount of money in the middle of a pandemic. FundraiseUp and \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\] saved us this year. Pros The software was so easy to use, even for someone like myself who is not the greatest with such things. It was easy to set up, easy for donors to navigate, and all the information I needed on the backend was right there for me. Cons There were a couple tiny issues I told my FundraiseUp rep about, moreso me trying to give constructive criticism than any real problem. So tiny, for example like when Grandma leaves a message with her donation, it should be easier for the child to see it. Silly stuff, but FundraiseUp will probably fix it, because that's how great they are. Reason for choosing Fundraise Up Customer Service and just a better fit for our type of fundraiser. Pros It is intuitive, easy to learn, and it has significantly increased our recurring donations since implementing this software. Cons It was a bit hard to navigate all of the buttons and sections/subsections in the portal, but now that I have learned, it is much easier.
