Management Hospitality Used the software for: 2+ years ### "Instant banking access" February 24, 2021 5.0 Pros I so love the Plaid software it makes it so easy to login directly to your online banking account. It has several online banking services listed to enter any of your accounts. Makes it so you dont have to always enter your card number and information makes it feel a little more secure. Cons There is not absolutely one negative down fall to this software. I applaud the creator of this software. Review Source DR DJ R. September 15, 2020 1.0 WaveApps is slowly committing suicide by using Plaid as it is currently supported. Pros Nothing, really... That's the point of this review. Cons Account connections with mainstream institutions like AMEX regularly break. The connection must be deleted and recreated each time there is a problem. Kind of defeats the purpose of an automated link. Connections to smaller institutions or banks don't stand a chance with Plaid. Reported problems don't get rectified presumably based on the biggest "squeaky wheel" institution getting priority. Ever since WaveApps converted to Plaid, I must do a manual bank upload to Wave to update my accounts. Again, kind of defeats the purpose of an automated link, don't you think. June 24, 2022 4.0 Overall, Plaid is the the norm when using the internet to connect any account to your bank account. Pros Plaid has been a trusted & safe way to connect your bank accounts to each other or to connecting you bank to some app. Practically every app I use that requires linking a bank account will use Plaid to do so. Cons Kinda sucks that some Online Banking Apps with prepaid cards (Dave, CashApp/Sutton, PayPal, etc..) is unable to use Plaid’s services. Review Source CN Carly N. An incredibly easy way for my team to verify bank accounts without having to have a voided check on file. Easy for our customers, easy for our team! Win win! Cons I found a bug where the first character in the username/email field is cap sensitive! This initially caused a lot of confusion because I knew my credentials were accurate. December 18, 2019 5.0 We've had some bugs getting WooCommerce Subscriptions to be authorized for renewal payments, but that might not be an issue with Plaid specifically. Pros I love the interface of a pop-up window that allows the user to log in to their online banking, select the account, and use that to complete an online payment. Cons It's crazy expensive if you are doing much more than testing (for a small business like us). It’s very convenient Pros I like that you can connect your PayPal account ti have a more secure way to pay for things over the internet. You can also connect your bank account ir other credit cards. October 12, 2019 5.0 Initially, I've used Plaid from end-user standpoint, connecting to a budgetting/finance management software, each convinced me to sign up for it, knowing that the connection with the bank was done professionally and securely. More recently I had a chance to integrate a large-scale software with Plaid for fraud detection and onboarding, and it was a very pleasant experience, with modern APIs and good support. Pros Simple to use, reliable and secure. Removes the burden from developers to implement direct connections with banking institutions and put clients at ease knowing that their accounts are secured by specialized people. Cons It can have some issues authenticating banks with two-factor authentication enabled. Canadian integration is lagging behind the American one. Review Source TM Tiffany M. Pros It is a super easy method of verification for use in payment gateways and POS systems to get linked between companies. Pros Plaid is easy to use and doesn't have many steps you have to go through to get the information added. May 18, 2021 5.0 Overall, I have had an excellent experience with Plaid. I had to contact customer service just 1x and I was able to get a human quickly. I recommend it! Pros This is basically a one touch system, you simply login with your credentials and the system does the rest...this makes explaining the process to customers the easiest thing ever! Cons I do not have any qualms with the software. This is the first time I have used a software to quickly and easily help customers connect their banking systems and I love Plaid! They are a consistent problem if you don't bank at a large bank. Pros I don't know, they never accept my credit union Cons They largely only work with large banks and smaller credit unions are out of luck and people end up having to pay extra fees for companies that utilize Plaid because Plaid does not accept many credit unions/smaller banks.
