### "#1 most used software in my role"

December 13, 2022

5.0

Pros

Honestly I use it every day, multiple times a day. I wouldn't want to work somewhere that didn't have this software. My life is so much easier. Quickly find and patch computers & push out software and updates. Pair this with PDQ Inventory and you're golden.

Cons

I've honestly never had a problem with this software and I've been using it for probably 7 years at least.

### "Simplicity at its best, but still feature rich"

December 23, 2022

5.0

The number one thing is being able to efficiently keep our endpoints patched and have visibility into that process.

Pros

For us, the patching component was the most important part. We were using another product that we always had to struggle to complete patches and even then it was a pain just to be able to see which machines needed patches. PDQ deploy made our lives so much better!

Cons

There are three things I would like to see them do: first, a cloud based approach for deployment and patching where we dont need the computers on the company network to handle them - this is in the works from my understanding. Secondly, add the ability to capture the last logged on user and store it with the rest of the attributes where we can add that as a column. Finally, add an imaging component where we can setup, build and manage images within the same pane of glass - they recently acquired an imaging software company, so I hope this is on the roadmap!

Reason for choosing PDQ Deploy & Inventory

We were lucky and ran across PDQ Deploy as out first option. I evaluated it and knew it was what we needed.

### "3rd anniversary of using PDQ Deploy & Inventory"

July 7, 2023

5.0

All patches, updates and upgrades are resolved very quickly and in addition your support is very fast and friendly. I am very happy that I chose PDQ.

Pros

It is very easy to install and using. You can choose if you want client/server or local mode.Has got many (maybe all) softwares for daily use.

Cons

I haven not find anything like that yet.

### "Reliable patching at a reasonable cost"

December 14, 2022

4.0

Pros

What made me look at PDQ was the cost. What made me keep using it was how flexible I could get with deployments when used in conjunction with their inventory product. You really want both of these to take full advantage and the cost still remains reasonable. It is easy to setup something like monthly patching using the packages that PDQ maintains and updates have it auto update these packages on your system after a delay period such as 7 days then push it out to all systems as they come online. We even use it to deploy out base packages on new PC builds as they come online.

Cons

There can be some quirks with a system being detected online and it is very important your DNS is accurate. My biggest con would really be that it does not do a great job with remote users because there is no agent on the device. This is being addressed though in a cloud version of the product.

### "A regular PDQ user of 1 person IT department"

December 21, 2022

5.0

I ran into projects after projects during pandemic. was looking for a tool to manage everything remotely, PDQ demo took place and went for it right away. Saved tons of time deploying patches, softwares, custom installations and much more. This tool allowed me to run whole IT department single handedly.

Pros

Ease of use, simplicity, effectiveness. PDQ has nice video based how to dos and that was helpful.

Cons

Two part of deploy and inventory, can they be one?

### "PDQ Deploy & Inventory are awesome products, healthy DNS required"

December 13, 2022

4.0

Overall a solid product. Some quirks but definitely helps a lot with patching, organizing assets, and then some.

Pros

PDQ makes it VERY easy to set up custom deployment packages with and without scripting. They also allowed management of common third-party apps with auto-updating, scheduling of deployments, and many other awesome tools. It is very cost efficient and I have used it across several companies.

Cons

A very heavy reliance on DNS. Support takes a long time to reply. No option for escalated service or support.

Reason for choosing PDQ Deploy & Inventory

Previous experience with product.

### "Why PDQ Deploy is a MUST HAVE!!!!"

December 13, 2022

5.0

We had a great experience with PDQ starting with the onboarding experience. There was plenty of help with setting us up with Inventory and Deploy.

Pros

I like the packages that are already built, I also like how easy it is to build a package into the program for deployment.

Cons

I really did not have any cons with this software, maybe a few more integrations.

### "Great Product"

December 13, 2022

5.0

It has been great. It is easy to use and navigate. It makes it easy to push out patches and software to computers. We no longer have to go to each computer to install products. The built in Vendors is such a great feature and one I use often, it saves me from having to go out and down load software from the Vendor constantly!

Pros

It is easy to use and makes my job more efficient.

Cons

I would like the Deploy and Inventory products in one interface. I understand though that people may only want one of the products. It would be nice to have them integrated together for those that use both products.

I have used Manage Engine in the past and I liked the PDQ product better. We did a trial with PDQ and I liked how it was set up and how user friendly it is.

December 21, 2022

Solve the patch update for workstations and clients, inventory reports.

Pros

The easy way to configure the deployments and schedule that to run automatically on time to time.

Cons

Do not have a client to install and not be able to monitor or deploy to clients outside of the network what nowadays is very normal with remote work.

### "PDQ Deploy is a Stellar Product"

November 2, 2022

5.0

I echo my previous comment, i.e. this has been such a time-saver when ensuring we keep our endpoints current, and it makes it a lot easier to manage 100s of endpoints with literally the click of a button.

Pros

This has saved us so much effort in maintaining the integrity of our software products on our domain endpoints. In addition to the pre-built library, it has been a godsend to be able to create customized packages and get them deployed quickly. When we were hit with Hafnium on our Exchange server and moved to O365, I created a customized package to remove our previous suite and get out the latest O365 suite to our endpoints with about an hour's work on PDQ Deploy.

Cons

Nothing comes to mind, to be perfectly honest.

Reason for choosing PDQ Deploy & Inventory

None

### "A good choice for privacy conscious companies"

June 6, 2023

3.0

Pros

There are no agents to install on systems being inventoried and it is installed locally on your own network (even just a local desktop) which make a it quick to install and keeps all the communications and data within your local network.

Cons

Because it is agentless there are issues when trying to inventory systems that are removed from the local network, e.g. Home workers.

### "The best for software patching and deployment"

December 14, 2022

5.0

The software reduces our overall cost of pc deployment by automating the software needed right out of the gate. It has paid for itself over and over again.

Pros

I like the ease of implementing this product in an environment combined with it's affordability.

Cons

I can say confidently at this time that there is nothing I like the least about it.

### "A easy to use and reliable solution for small and mid sized companies"

August 4, 2020

5.0

When we started to use this software, we did not have a solution to inventory and deploy softwares on your computers and servers, that is a powerful tool, with a very good price that really worths the investiment. We were able to keep all our computers and softwares updated, and we have pushed some Windows build updates through PDQ Deploy, which worked very well! If you do not have a inventory/deploy solution on your environment, and cannot spend so much money with it, go with PDQ without think twice, you will not regret!

Pros

It is easy to implement, configure and to use it, everything on this software is so intuitive, even if you not read the manual you can do more than 50% of the software functionalities. The software has a wide variety of options to deploy softwares to your computers, also, if you spend a few bucks more, you can buy the PDQ Inventory, which works very well integrated with the Deploy solution.

Cons

The error messages on the deploys are not so clear, it difficults the troubleshooting on the first time without some research.

Reason for choosing PDQ Deploy & Inventory

The functionalities, the support, and the price.

### "I wish I knew about this software sooner"

December 8, 2022

5.0

PDQ has made my PC rollout process easy and more importantly, consistent. All my systems go out configured correctly now. I have reduced human error to almost 0.

Pros

PDQ Deploy can take care of the monotonous IT Admin work, especially keeping software packages up to date, with ease.

Cons

I have no complaints at all. I really like this software.

Reason for choosing PDQ Deploy & Inventory

Group policy only works when machines are connected to the domain when they login. Most of our work force is remote primarily, so we needed something that could go push software over a hotspot VPN connection. This does that very well.

### "PDQ Inventory - wouldn't want to live without it"

Cons

### "Affordable option with low barrier to entry but highly customizable to fit your needs"

July 13, 2022

4.0

We have been able to use PDQ Inventory to finely tune our PDQ Deploy schedules and deployments, as well as to plan hardware refresh cycles and do patch management, etc.

Pros

Easy to set up but highly customizable with SQL and PowerShell

Cons

Some aspects of building reports and collections are not intuitive. e.g. using "All, Any, Not All, Not Any" group filters instead of simple nested and/or operators. There is also some overlap between Reports and Collections in terms of functionality that can be confusing. Building a lot of collections, especially nested ones, gets very cumbersome and slows down the software considerably. I would like to see an option to use another SQL other than SQLite that would scale better.

Reason for choosing PDQ Deploy & Inventory

Easier to set up

Everyone on the PDQ team is excellent.

Pros

December 13, 2022

5.0

Pros

Integration with Active Directory, pull all computers based on OU and departments.

Cons

It doesn't have a client to deploy, so it depends 100% on service account, being administrator, DNS and some features that can fail. Also would love that PDQ integrates the remote desktop control.

Many options for setting up install and deploy routines. Automatically refreshed network inventory. Active Directory Integration. Ability to target by queries, OUs or just about anything.Good integration between the prodcts (Deploy and Inventory). Good reporting.

Cons

Can be kind of daunting for new users. A bit slow sometimes.
