Pros: The amount of internal organization this software has, has propelled the rate at which I'm able to get work done. I absolutely love the way you can filter through your emails based on an almost mind boggling amount of search fields. I especially love the attachment filter, as so many of my emails have pictures and PDFs. Even further, the interface for the server is very legible, and as you click through to your emails, the new windows cascade and expand to the right, making it easy to quickly scan for necessary information. The extra applications/plug-ins such as Group Calendars, Streams, Tasks, etc. make internal company communication SO EASY! Honestly, I could talk about the inter-connectivity of the software all day. Not to mention, it's very easy to configure your email with a custom domain server, and as a webmaster, that's just one less headache I want to deal with.

Cons: I first started using Zoho Mail when I was still learning how to write basic HTML and CSS code, and at the time there was a bit of a learning curve for myself when it came to the initial setup of the product. Some of the vocabulary I had yet to learn was throughout the email client, and made it somewhat hard to understand exactly what I was doing. With that being said, Zoho has literally hundreds of resources that are both directly from the company, and from other reliable sources, on how to overcome the "language barrier" and take you through the setup process set by step. So, although there is a learning curve with certain steps, there's still innumerable amounts of resources to help you through the process.

Overall: I ended up learning a lot about the finer points of running a business. By being able to set up my own FREE email server, I now have my own "place" to host all of my work related emails, organize them to my liking, and further share it with the rest of my employees. With the Streams folders, it makes general communication between employees quick and easy, and moderated for appropriateness. It's an incredibly secure way to build a platform for business related communication, both with customers, and with my own team. Overall, this is one of the programs I accredit my budding success (and sanity) to.

Comments: Have utilized Zoho for a few years now. Found it available as an alternative to gmail with concerns for privacy and available support. Even though back in those times Zoho did not offer any mobile apps, I found Zoho to be be of a great value and strong potential to build a great value proposition to their users. And... My expectations came to fruition. Zoho has not let me down. Today I had to find out why one of my messages (an important one, if I may add) was not delivered to a recipient. I copied the subject, time stamp, "to" credentials and sent it to support@zohomail.com. 12 hours later I received a thoughtful and thorough explanations (with visual data backing-up) on why my e-mail WAS delivered, but recipients server filtering out and deleting it through their spam protection. Steps were offered to remedy such instance not to happen in the future. I was "floored..." Today I have noticed that their Android and iPhone apps are present and function very well. Integration with mail clients is a breeze to configure. "Cloud" and support of such is available and we have no issues using it. Overall, I'm impressed with Zoho and their growing pains are very limited. From user perspective - I have not noticed any hurdles or bugs or goofy approaches to simplified mail service approach. Their new e-mail interface was not pushed onto me, but suggested to use. Still not sure if I like it and the option to revert to "old" and proven interface is still there for me in case I change my mind. How can anyone go wrong with such service if it is FREE, I thought?! When I'm asked to provide my e-mail, I proudly spell out "@-Z-O-H-O.com" and questions follow - "What is Zoho?" My typical answer is - "One of my best kept secrets..." I was one of the first to sign-up with gmail and am glad I discovered Zoho to be one of their first users as well. Give them a try - they are working out their support streamline and response SLAs are acceptable.

Pros: Free Short support SLAs Android, iPhon apps Ability to scale up or down in pricing depending on your needs Stable mail platform Courteous and Polite associates Cloud storage Many options for businesses for paid and free accounts

Cons: None that I have found so far

Pros: When all other email providers stopped allowing you to connect a domain name, Zoho Mail didn't. Best of all, they kept it free. You are able to quickly set up your account with their helpful guides, and get email services working almost instantaneously. I use it for all of my businesses, and each has its own custom domain name, so Zoho is indispensable. The support team is great, super polite people here, and work hard to help with whatever they can.

Cons: I hate the new theme. It loads very slowly, I wish we could choose old vs new version. Lately when I log in there have been new domain things that need done quite often, which is kind of a hassle as when I check my domain servers, I'd already done those things and Zoho just needed them refreshed to something new or something. It can be quite annoying. But again, the service is free, and is tops for what they offer. One thing I'd love to see is a separate newsletter platform where people can buy their own IP for cheap, so indie authors could work on marketing without being worried about cost or being dropped from mail services like we are now.

Comments: I am a Web Developer and needed a new email provider for my business mails. Since I don't want to run my own server for this and I wanted a change from Google Apps I decided to go for Zoho. It made a very likable impression on me and I wanted to give my business to another company than the monopolist Google. So I went for the Pro Account and paid for 1 year in advance. But so far Zoho Mail disappointed in every respect. There were several problems and almost none was addressed by the horribly slow support. The problems: - The exchange server denied any connection attempts (msync.zoho.com). - I couldn't import contacts from Apples' Contact App, it would just upload forever (the file is 3.5MB). - Almost every email went to Spam I wrote to support but didn't get anything back (not even an automatic email). 2 days later I was quite annoyed and wrote a tweet @ZohoCares. That seemed to speed up the process. They explained to me that I have to activate the Exchange functionality first. A fact that was well hidden in the usability nightmare the Zoho backend and settings page is. It was also nowhere to be found in the quite bad documentation. But well, it worked. The Zoho Mail support then told me that I have to whitelist all senders manually to prevent them from going to spam. That is a joke. The mails are not coming from sketchy domains and no other provider has problems. I got into serious trouble because I didn't receive a couple of important emails first. Whitelisting every mail address in advance is not an option. I would have to hire someone to do that. So I told them. But never received a reply. Then another 4 days later and after more tweets the indian support guy explained to me that I cannot upload contact files larger than 2MB. He suggested that I manually split them up. 2MB!?!?!?! In 2015!?!?!? For a business account where I pay money? This is ridiculous. And because they didn't say so on the page and don't provide you with any error messages (it just loads forever) you will try for 2 hours and then spend more time writing support. What a waste of time! Today emails are still going to spam, my contacts are not imported and support is pathetically slow. I can only warn anybody from signing up with Zoho Mail. I will try to get a refund and look for another provider.

Pros: The colorful logo calms your raging anger about the bad support a bit.

Cons: Doesn't work as advertised. Almost every mail goes to Spam. Contact import of files larger than 2MB isn't allowed. Horrible and slow support.

Pros: I started using Zoho few years back when I was looking for a free email service provider with own domain for my friend and as the time passed I used it for many of my clients to provide them free email service. It is really easy and simple to setup your own domain and create email addresses. Zoho provided mobile app which was not available earlier and it works so smooth. Referral process is so nice that you can increase the number of email addresses to 25 by just referring it to your friends and if they set it up by your given referral. I can easily say that its a good competitor of Gmail.

Cons: Previously SMTP setup was available with the free version to setup email client apps which support Zoho has stopped for free users. I think there should be some limit for setup but it should be available if someone wants to use any desktop email client like Outlook or Thunderbird!

Zoho Mail is a free, but really robust email hosting service provider.

Pros: The search feature is very robust and flexible and you have an additional attachment filter, which you can use in case of sending pictures. You can get a domain name and set an account for absolutely free, unlike other providers. Internal communication has been made simpler with group calendars and chat features. The setup process is quite simple. The absence of advertisements. The graphical user interface is very clean, and in fact intuitive. You will find folders to organize all of your emails. The application is integrated with google docs and other Zoho apps.

Cons: Themes take a lot of time to load. The absence of newsletter feature. You have to pay for additional storage ( above 5GB). It is not possible to import contacts from your social media.

Pros: Overall, setup with our custom domain was easy and straightforward. The online interface is complete with all the features that would be expected from an email solution. There is also a dedicated mail app available with most of the same features.

Cons: Spam filtering can sometimes be over aggressive and other times not aggressive enough. The mobile app has difficulty searching for emails and sometimes misses search results. The Zoho service has gone down for an extended period of time (12+ hrs) in the past which resulted in a significant loss of productivity.

Overall: Easy cost effective mail solution for a custom domain.

Pros: I used Zoho mostly for their free email hosting on which I can use my own domain. This is a great free solution if you want to set up mailboxes for your domain name for free.

Cons: Since Zoho placed some restrictions on the free tier such as no forwarding, I was forced to look at a paid plan which is priced similarly to Gmail (Gsuite). A Gsuite subscription is better in all aspects so I decided to leave Zoho for a Gsuite subscription.
If you plan to use the free tier, make sure you check their current restrictions to see if you might need some of the restricted features.

Overall: Awesome free email hosting solution.

Pros: Love that I can combine all my email accounts into one screen. Love how much faster dealing with various emails can be. Features and ease of use are great and make life a lot easier. Zoho has a ton of functionality that we are only now tapping into. Increased privacy by not having email on Google makes me feel better. Did have an issue and customer support was awesome at getting into it and resolving it for us!

Cons: A bit of an adaptation process since we were used to another system before this. Took a little bit of time to get configured properly.

Pros: As a user of several other Zoho products, I finally made the switch to Zoho Mail as my mail platform. I love that it integrates with other products in the Zoho line.

Zoho Mail has been a very reliable and secure mail platform, with multiple layers of security and verification you can implement to avoid your emails going to junk. And you can customize the platform quite a bit. Plus, you can still check it using any mail application if you prefer not to use the online interface.

But overall, the best things about Zoho Mail are the stability, the customizability, and the integration with other key Zoho apps. It has worked great.

Cons: I really wish the calendar and tasks and their integration with Zoho Projects was a little more polished. Right now, I don't enjoy using the tasks in Zoho Mail because you can't see which projects they are a part of easily, and it's hard to manage the tasks themselves that come from Projects.

Overall: For me, Zoho Mail was a no-brainer because my business revolves around many of the Zoho applications already. So having it all in the same ecosystem is great. I love that I can customize it to the way I like, which is a common thing with Zoho software. It's been very stable and the servers are fast, and I have very few complaints!

Terrible experience thus far

Comments: I went to Zoho so that I could use my own domain name for my emails. I am a single entrepreneur needing only two email addresses, so I went for their free account. After many hours getting set up, importing contacts, editing my contact list, I ran into trouble and emailed for support. 36 hours later, I have not received a reply. Then I went to add my second email address and my contacts disappeared, I could not log in. When I tried to set up the domain again, the error message said the domain already existed though it was not listed under my user name. The last time I was able to view my contact list, all contacts had disappeared completely so instead of over 100 contacts, there were none---so much for hours of work. Zoho's documentation is pathetic. I found myself searching all over the place for any information about adding users and what their concept of "groups" were (it differs from regular email programs significantly) and never found any good explanation. Each time I clicked on something, it opened a new tab on my browser and soon I had 10 or more tabs open, still not having found what I was looking for. The only support if you use the free service is via email and the delay at responding to my two emergency-rated emails is, well, they still have not responded so who knows how long. The gist of my experience: lousy documentation, unreliable email handling, poor customer service. I do not recommend.

Pros: I only was trying to use the mail app and it seemed primitive and then malfunctioned in a big way, so I am not feeling there is any pro other than I didn't have to pay to waste time and effort.

Cons: As stated earlier: lousy documentation, unreliable email handling, poor customer service. I do not recommend.

Pros: Zoho Mail essentially has all of the modern features that standard email provides as well including great productivity additions such as Notes, Tasks, and Calendar applications within Zoho Mail. I found this extremely effective as when I received mail previously I would have to hand write important information such as dates and tasks instead I can do it all within one client making it much more efficient.

Cons: One thing I disliked about the Software is the UI (User Interface) To me it wasn't as aesthetically pleasing to¿ look at however Zoho has made up for it by its excellent functionality.

Overall: This is an overall great Email platform as well as offering you productivity tools included within the client. This makes it extremely beneficial as you can keep track of things such as tasks,¿ reminders, notes, and dates for your business all in one client.

Pros: Great value and service quality.
The webmail interface is good, i like the dark theme very much. The storage is plenty and everything works as it should.
They also have good support by email and very detailed instructions on their website.

Cons: For sure the weak point is spam filters, they need to improve them.
The change they did in the free plan, leaving it only for webmail (removed pop3/imap access) for new users. But it's amazing of them that they left it for free for the old customers.

Pros: I like knowing that Google is not reading my email and selling or sharing my data. Recent updates have made the Zoho UI very intuitive with many of the features of Gmail such as folders/labels, tabs, and smooth integration with contacts.

Cons: Zoho charges to keep your data private. It would be nice if it were free, but at least my data is not being sold or shared. Like Google, it has a suite of apps that work together in a unique ecosystem. Transitioning from the Google ecosystem to Zoho is a bit clunky and Zoho could do a better job of providing tutorials and customer support for onboarding new customers. However, it's worth the effort.

Pros: It can synchronize email with a cellphone and a web page. It looks a lot like a exchange email but for free with our own domain. Easy to deploy.

Pros: I like Zoho Mail for its versatility, for the amount of tools I can use every day. Tools such as the calendar, application of digital signatures are essential functions that a normal mail can not provide. In addition to this Zoho Mail, is always in constant update, which I find excellent. At the aesthetic level it is a very friendly and visually pleasing platform.
Zoho Mail, has helped me a lot in the field of work, since their tools give me an easy way to write emails, in addition to having a mobile application that notifies you of possible events. This platform also gives me the possibility to work in conjunction with my work team, and it does so in a more pleasant way

Cons: I think that Zoho Mail should try to simplify the amount of options and tools that it has, as well as create a simpler software that integrates the applications with which Zoho Mail works

Comments: Zoho Desk was the savior that resolved all e-mail issues from another e-mail company from MG-Brazil. The solution is very solid, 99% without downtime since the beginning, they have a solid knowledge base to assist you in case from e-mail server inexperience (like I was). The mobile apps facilitate user configuration and usability.

Pros: Easy to use. Stable. Mobile apps (Android and iOS) Two factor authentication Being part of a web based office apps suite.

Cons: Doesn't have windows mobile app. Needed to contact through e-mail once and got a delayed answer (10 working days). Luckily was a mailer daemon error that had a turnaround.

Comments: The way I got this email, was that I purchased a domain for my business, and was surprised to learn that I received a business email with that purchase . My email looks so professional. After I got Zoho Mail, I have received so many compliments about my business email. People wanted to know how did I obtain it . After that, I put my business email on my new company business card, and it looks so professional. Since I run a small business, I want to look like a big business, and that's what Zoho Mail does for me, and I love it.

Pros: The Zoho mail system is great for a Professional Look for business I checked, and I was able to go in, and add other users to my Zoho mail. and you can create and give users their own business email for your company. There were some days when I had questions , and customer service responded pretty quickly. The email is free if you purchase a domain for just 10 dollars. The Primary user or administrator has so much control , and the security of Zoho Mail is probably the best security of any other email that I ever had with other companies. I never got an email virus, or had any problems with hackers. And Last of all, Zoho Mail is very affordable.

Cons: I would not change anything about this software. It get's 100 from me.

Recommendations to other buyers: You have nothing to lose. I am so glad I made the decision and got Zoho Mail, and now I don't have to worry about this issue anymore. If you are thinking about Zoho Mail, try it out.

Pros: Simple and user-friendly for people who just need to get a hold of their mail on the daily. I enjoyed this while I was using it in a business. It was especially helpful whenever I need to go back to items back and forth with another one -- keeps tabs open and offers flexibility in usage.

Cons: I feel like the UI/UX could be better. Despite it being helpful that I can go back and forth between items, sometimes it gets too confusing. Also, sometimes it doesn't load as quickly as I want to; maybe the amount of items open contributes to it.

Pros: Zoho mail is a great mail hosting solution for small-medium business that need a good email hosting at a low price. My experience is positive and I contacted the mail support few times with success. From my point of view, Zoho mail is a middle solution from your own webserver mail hosting and pro service like Microsoft and Google.

Cons: The anti spam solution is not so efficient. I have better results with services from Microsoft or Google, but at a lower price, Zoho is a good choice. The options in the panel management are limited.

Pros: My main reason to test out this software was because I could get basic email accounts for free. I haven't tried out any of the paid features, so I can't speak to those, but the free accounts have been very useful, reliable, and easy to setup. They included easy to follow directions for setting up SPF and DKIM, which was nice.

Cons: Getting into the control panel is sometimes a bit confusing. I don't get in there often, so I forget how to get there from time to time and it takes me longer to figure that out than I would like. This is nit picky, but I honestly can't think of anything else to say.

Comments: It is pretty cool. You can use it on your iPhone or Android and you will receive all your mails directly on your device. Also, @zoho.com domail is not mainstream

Pros: Device sync & personalization

Cons: Space is ok, but could be better

Recommendations to other buyers: It's one of the best free mails

Pros: I like Zoho mail because you can create an email for your company with a personalized address and it is also very useful that you can integrate your calendar, notes and tasks in the same site, and zoho allows it.

Cons: One of the weaknesses of Zoho mail is that it does not allow uploading files larger than 25 MB, which limits the sending of important documents with a weight equal to or greater than this. On the other hand, something important is the re-sending of messages and zoho does not preserve the attachments of the original message

Pros: Zoho is a very affordable mail server. I use this for my websites (Wordpress etc) to send out mail, using Zoho's smtp server

Cons: More advanced filtering / forwarding capability would be good given the paid plans

Pros: I like how intuitive the program is. The templates are a plus. There's an entire suite of Zoho products that I'm interested in trying out. It's really easy to use and has a clean look. Some email programs are distracting, this is very clean and helps me stay organized. I'm glad to find it. I'm testing it out as an alternative to what I currently use.

Cons: When setting up on your mobile device you have to make sure the setting is enabled within Zoho, otherwise, I am pretty happy with it.

Comments: We used Zoho when we started our first business. Over the past two years, we've ended up migrating our other businesses to Zoho Mail, as it really is a simple option for business.com/.net addresses.

Pros: Simple, intuitive. Great directions, it just works.

Cons: We do prefer the old interface to the new one, but we understand that change happens. If we could have an option to go back to the old interface though, we definitely would.

Pros: I really can't think of anything good about this software other than it's cheap. But beware, you get what you pay for.

Cons: I will start with I am an average user. A client of mine has their email through this platform and they do not have an IT person. I happen to be the most tech savvy so I get stuck adding new email addresses and such. Every time I use this software I cringe. It takes me 10 min just to figure out how to get to the Control Panel again and again.

Pros: Pretty much all the features and more that you require from a business account, is available on the platform.

Cons: It's a crammed up UI with way too many things going on. You notice several glitches while using the product as well. Customer support has been slow to respond in the past.

Pros: The fact that you can start on a free plan and then move to a paid plan as your business grows. This worked great for me and my company.

Cons: The streams feature that appears in the mail sidebar is pointless and there seems to be no way to disable or remove it.

I found it to be functional software, however, the structure of the mail page has been confusing.

Pros: The icons and colors he uses are formal and at the same time he looks jovial. When selecting the recipient of the email, Zoho allows you to get the email addresses easily and without needing to have stored that contact, but with the simple fact of having sent an email at some point you can find it.

Cons: It is difficult to identify the icons since they all have the same color and are lost to the user's eyes. I do not like in its entirety that the icon to attach documents is not visible in a noticeable way. Additionally, zoho mail loses the quality of load when there is not an optimal internet connection.

Overall:
Zoho mail is useful in my company because it allows us to create a business email.

Email service free of advertising

Comments: Zoho Mail is an email service with unlimited online storage and without any costs. The program can be accessed in email programs and services via POP and IMAP. As in other email services you can create folders and free-form labels to organize your mails. An out-of-office responder is integrated in Zoho mail as well as various search options to find older messages. There is something called Zoho Chat instant messaging which integrates with Zoho apps and Google Docs for attachments. To put it in a nutshell: Zoho Mail includes all the services that you would expect from a good email service.

Pros: - no advertising and good search engine to find older messages

Cons: - the application cannot access other IMAP accounts.

Comments: Zoho Mail gives you a clean, ad-free interface, but it seems to sacrifice a lot of features that come standard with other free email services to promote its paid services

Pros: Zoho's free email service has no ads anywhere in the user interface.

Comments: I have started using Zoho mails since few months and found it very nice with stunning UI compared to MailGun. I had hard time configuring Zoho mail with Openshift, may be it doesn't support this facility at all or it's all about the not so good Zoho documentations. Feels like MailGun easy to use compared to Zoho, for beginners. I had to switch back to mailgun for using email service in openshift. ----- I have already added question in forum, let's see. I will update the review again.

Pros: 1. Awesome UI in web based. 2. Mobile apps 3. Two step verification

Cons: 1. Not so well documentation, could hamper development timeline. 2. No API supprt 3. Difficult to use compared to MailGun
