You dont get a warning either so you think you have no emails until someone says they sent you an email and you check or all of a sudden you have multiple emails flooding in Pros the organization is nice and i like the way the words are readable the way it is displayed. You can set up multiple email inboxes to come in and it allows it to be separated out as opposed to mixed with other inboxes Cons synching was a pain. if their server goes down (and it did multiple times) your emails will not flood in. Cons Sometimes opening of email hangs for along time as if some VM or pod is offline and it takes time to start it. 2FA is over engineered. Professional approach is to use existing proven tools like Google authenticatior or similar. Your custom developed 2FA app is not intuitive and over designed. No need to reinvent the wheel. Storing recovery keys moves any attack from online to offline. Think about where your users store the recovery codes and you see that you may create a weakness in the security - voids the point of 2FA in some ways (some not all).
