Pros Zeer veelzijdig CAD systeem met branche overschrijdende functionaliteiten. Zeer sterk in de Plaatwerkende industrie en Staalbouw voor het automatisch genereren van productie tekeningen. Parametriseren en Constraints zijn eenvoudig aan te leggen en enkel daar waar nodig. Automatisering opties via C# (Visual Studio) zijn eindeloos. Cons Meer dan 10 jaar geleden waren er kwaliteitsproblemen. Stabiliteit was slecht, klapte er vaak uit. Maar dat behoort gelukkig tot de verleden tijd. Klar, der Preis wirkt im ersten Moment erschreckend hoch. Aber wenn man erstmal die Funktionen sieht und welches Potenzial erstmal in der Konstruktion steckt ist man überwältigt und der Preis ist gerechtfertigt. Dazu kommt der telefonische Support mit Personen aus der Praxis. Durch HiCAD mit seinen automatismen konnte ich die Konstruktionszeit im Metallbau um ein vielfaches reduzieren. Pros Man ist völlig frei, was das Konstruieren angeht. Es wird sowohl freies Modellieren als auch Parametrik unterstützt. Stücklisten und Werkstattzeichnungen werden automatisch erstellt und bemaßt. Alles ist konfigurierbar. Kataloge lassen sich einfach erweitern. Der Kundensupport ist Spitze! Cons Durch die vielen Konfigurationsmöglichkeiten wirkt es im ersten Moment unübersichtlich. Meistens passieren kleine Fehler, weil irgendwo ein Häkchen falsch gesetzt ist. Diese lassen sich aber problemlos im nachhinein ändern.
