Another thing I appreciate is that the software feels reliable for everyday accounting work. Once the initial setup is completed, entering records, reviewing transactions, and checking reports become part of the normal routine. It is not user friendly enough for them to pick up easy to read reports. Pros Customer Support is good. No long call waits and agents are knowledgeable and helpful. It is easy to use but ONLY because I am familiar with the programme. I like that I can upload spreadsheets with extra data. I like that it is desktop and therefore faster to use. Cons A new user would find it clunky. Reporting is not very user friendly. I find custom reports difficult to use. The regular reports are not easy for decision makers to read so I find it is used by us as accounting technicians rather than as a proactive tool for analysis. Pros The job costing and inventory tracking are excellent , they actually helps me see real profit per project instead of just guessing. invoicing is fast and professional, bank reconciliation works smoothly, and the reports are detailed and customizable without needing an accountant to figure them out. i also like that it is not a constant subscription trap like some cloud tools. Its cheap and for us, it does most things we need. It is nice that the automatic invoice processing is now a feature available. Cons I can not download my budget into Sage for the next year. I have to wait until the current year to do that. So far, I have not been able to download my budget as I can't find the file extension needed. It would be nice to see an account over several years without putting the information into Excel and building the history myself. April 6, 2026 5.0 Before purchasing this software i was doing everything via spreadsheets and relying on my “memory” and “oh karen has that invoice.” now everything is located in one location, the majority of the banking reconciliation occurs automatically and tax season is less painful due to having accurate records. Remote employees are able to look at the exact same numbers at the same time which is a larger issue than people let on. It does not remove accounting tasks; however, it removes enough of the redundant, silly accounting tasks that allow you to focus on making actual business decisions. Pros I am no longer entering 800 transactions by hand each month and that will never happen again. I am exhausted from working late tonight so i’ll keep this brief – the bank feeds pull all of your data into the system and set up the rules. It used to take me an entire day to complete month end processing. Now it takes about two hours. The reporting aspect is also great. I get accurate P&L’s, cash flow statements, a/r aging statements…you can give these to anyone else and they will understand them. Cons It slows down with a large amount of data. And that is a big deal when closing out month-end. They have made several updates to the user interface since we first started using this software and every update seems to move things around and makes it harder for me to find items that i use on a regular basis. Petty but true, the receipt photo upload does not have drag and drop functionality and i have to click through multiple pages to attach a single file.
