June 10, 2018 4.0 The most important thing of this product is the lightweight characteristic, you can load BIG models without loose performance like others and the usability is not compromised by the weight of the software itself. Pros This software is a great option to create new models in 3D and 2D, depends on the version you adquiere. In any case, the software gives to you a lot of functionalities in a lightweight product. All the characteristics of any CAD software, are present in ZW, and many functionalities that make it unique and powerfull. The independent features that the software have, gives a plus at the moment when you are going to buy a CAD software. I used some others CAD and this have a great performance and usability in contrast to the others. Cons Is very similar in the interface to others products, despite of the additional characteristics, the structure and usability is basically the same, it is aimed to give to the user a common user interface, but sometimes is TOO similar to others products. Pros I like the intelligent voice system, the smart mouse system and the synchronization with smartphones and tablets through cloud storage. Cons What I do not like that for the design of mechanical systems is very efficient only in 2D (two dimensions) and slow drawings for the development of 3D applications. VR Verified Reviewer Mechanical engineer Automotive Used the software for: 6-12 months ### "Good 3D software with a low price tag" May 4, 2019 4.0 I used ZW3D when working in Tool and Die design, and also used the sheet metal module which worked very well. We had some issues when defining (in assembly) a fastener, creating the pocket for the bolt's head in one component and the thread in another, later when we modified the position of the fasteners the update of the other features had some issues. Pros It's easy to use, the GUI is very intuitive and nice. Compared to other CAD softwares, ZW3D has focused on reducing the number of inputs by the user when creating features, it has some shortcuts that are very helpful and intuitive to use. the hybrid (part/assembly) environment works well and gives the user some more freedom. The possibility to create a standard component is very useful. Cons When in assemblies, setting dependencies between parts can cause some problems when modifying and updating. April 27, 2018 5.0 Hybrid Modeling makes my design job more flexible. Mold design module is easy to use, save half my time spent on this area. CAM plan does help me make my work more applicable. Pros Modeling function is amazing, operations don't care about if the base is solid, making modeling job more flexible and easy. Most 3D Modeling software for Manufacture can't do this. the modeling become a more productive job. you can do a full process from concept design to CNC machining seamlessly. as a designer, this really benefits a lot. you may think you can do anything with this software. Cons there are no advanced functions like smart component, VBA, global visibility manager. The only limitations is that this software lacks some of the advanced functions that includes smart components, VBA and global visibility manager and sometimes user have to face difficulties as help documents do not include all the functions. I own a license because it's affordable and does what I need it to do. Pros It is a Pro/Engineer or Creo clone. Its got a bunch of capabilities. It can do sheet metal surfacing. It's amazing. Cons User interface needs some help. The interface seems clumsy/clunky - not easy to find commands or alternative commands. Help files are ok and could use a lot of work. Reason for choosing ZW3D Fusion has some issues I don't like in sketching. Alibre - wouldn't allow the use of a conical edge in a sketch. Review Source TA Turan A.
