It’s been wonderful! Transfer was smooth! Great customer service!

Pros

I love that it is geared specifically towards our industry

Cons

That there isn’t a way for clients to add their credit card when I schedule them (like a link they have to complete before the appointment time is confirmed) and a text system to remind them their appointment starts in 15mins and they can check in. Then stylist can say they are ready for the client via text too

Great! I enjoy learning on th app and discovering new things. I would like to be able to edit the flyers in the app.

Pros

I love the easibilty of the website. Not only for me but my clients. I love the text messaging and the goals. I love everything even the gift cards!

Cons

I don’t like that I can post the gift cards, that I can only load one pic at a time and that I can’t upload videos. I’m still learning the app though.

### "There are better options for your business"

My overall experience with GlossGenius is that for a lower-cost system, it's okay. They are continuously raising the prices and making different tiers, which is normal, but they are trying to add too much too quickly. The system cannot keep up with it. They do not follow up with their members to see what they like and what they don't like. The lower cost was no longer worth the headache that GlossGenius created for my business.

Pros

What I liked most about GlossGenius is that when I first started using it, it was really aesthetically pleasing. It was one of the lower-cost options, and at that point it was important to me that it was extremely affordable.

Cons

What I didn't like about GlossGenius is that the system was always "down". There were a lot of times that I couldn’t get in to see what clients I had for the day, or I couldn’t find their color formula because I couldn’t even log into the system. Every time they make an update, it seems to throw everything off. They were constantly changing the aesthetics of it.

I really love using GlossGenius for my business it's like having an assistant that not only helps with clients reminders but to keep in file every service, formula and products they purchase. It really has made my job so much easier.

Not being able to save more than 1 card payment since clients are always changing card payment. Not having holidays in the calender.

### "Be a Boss with Gloss"

Overall, I am really enjoying Gloss. I love the convenience of the automated text. I also love that I am able to customize my features. It is very easy to navigate.

Pros

For me, I love that GlossGenius does the automated notifications for myself and for my clients. I have a hard time keeping up with that myself, so I appreciate that Gloss does it for me.

Cons

I wish there were more color options for my service items. There isn’t an option available for booking when room sharing. If there were an option for select services to allow for double booking(ie- if my roommate has a scheduled lash appointment , I can schedule hair appts during that time but my clients can not schedule lashes while she is lashing, that would be amazing.

I’m pleased 1000% I really love everything about Glossgenius. It’s very much needed and easy to use along with setting up your favorites.

Pros

Being able to allow my clients to book out as far as I like. I’m not always available to recieve calls or answer text messages.

Cons

Not being able to get money instantly. Honestly that’s not even a problem but if I have to really goose it would be the fees attached.

### "The absolute BEST"

I couldn’t use anything else! Simple to use for me & my clients, payments are very simple, plus the amount of options in this app helps a lot when starting a new business.

Pros

I have used many different apps before but Gloss Genius has been the best of the best. Very easy for me & my clients to use!

Cons

That they don’t have like a type of “salon scale” so I can track the amount of color I use. I had to purchase another subscription for that.

I have been able to build clientele by using GlossGenius compared to old school paper/pencil. I’m most definitely satisfied with my experience. They continue to enhance and improve.

Pros

I appreciate the ease of booking appointments in person and online. The value compared to monthly cost, is an added bonus. I also appreciate the sense of security involved with the program and with support.

Cons

One thing that is time consuming, is not being able to check out multiple clients at the same time, especially when you have family members together.

Pros

It’s very Easy to navigate. When I was setting up my profile, I was happy that everything was user friendly!

Cons

Doesn’t recommend clients like styleseat! That would be a great feature. If there was a way for clients who don’t have a stylist to browse and find one!

Considering the several different booking systems I've used over my career, this has been by far the easiest to work with!

Pros

Every client that uses it says it's extremely easy to use when booking their appointments. Not one of them has had an issue when booking appointments online.

Cons

There were some reports that I wish are available for statistics on services, such as how many of what service I did within a specific amount of time.

I love that it gives many updates on upcoming appointments. Also that it send them a link to leave a review . Super greatful for the glossgenius loans and how it pulls from each transaction. Helps a lot if needed . My clients always express how easy it is to book online.

How the updates are in the middle of our business days . When we can’t see our clients and have to use another form of payment. That’s not calculated into our total earnings .

It has been amazing so far and have not had any troubles. Previous booking sites I used gave me more grief and troubleshooting required.

Pros

Easy online booking and appointment management. Has a great value and is more affordable than other bookings sites on the market.

Cons

I think it’s still growing its features and has great potential. I have only had 1 client say that it gives her trouble booking.

GlossGenius is the best booking system that has everything built in that I need to successfully run my business and grow.

Pros

Glossgenius saves me so much time with client booking, checking out, and rescheduling. I love the texting feature that allows me to automatically add client notes with a text response, and that I can also earn business capital!

Cons

I would like to be able to combine tickets and checkout clients all at once instead of multiple times.

### "I’m sticking beside her!! "

My overall experience with GG has been awesome. Other than a business bank account, I really don’t need much else. When I first started my business, GG made the administration part of entrepreneurship for me so easy and I was so grateful. Also, the rate for the gold subscription is well worth what it offers. The platform gives me plenty of room to grow and I love how I won’t have to change my platform when I have employees.

Pros

GG is a one stop shop for a booking software! I absolutely love the expense tracking come tax season.

Cons

Not being able to add multiple credit cards on client files, no memberships or recurring payments, not being allowed to collect cancellation fees until day of, not being able to distinguish what forms different clients have to sign, limited form options.

I really have been so happy with the app and its user friendly platform! The opportunities to finance through Stripe Capital makes it easy to grow my business too!

Pros

I love how it helps the stylist be the most successful possible and the customer service is incredible!

Cons

That I can’t book to haircuts in one service. For example, 2 kids haircuts on the same ticket in the same family.

Pros

I've never had an online booking service before and I'm so glad that I stuck with gloss genius as my first option. It is made managing my clients so much easier and they all love the option to book online with me as well.

Cons

There is only been a couple times when I've not been happy with the app when it was shut down for maintenance, which I think is understandable. Other than that, the only thing my clients complain about is that I can't customize exactly how many text message reminders. They each get some people love them and some people hate them.

Best website app ever . So easy to maneuver . My clients absolutely love how professional it is with the confirmation emails , texts and easy checkouts 🫶🏽

Pros

How it easy it is to start up and build my website. Everything is broken down step by step and beginner friendly.

Cons

The business hours . I don’t think I can wait it to where I can out I’ll work 10am-2pm and 5pm-7pm . It doesn’t allow me to split up my time . That would be perfect to add on there for availability purposes.

I’ve been with gloss since I opened my business and I love it my clients love it very easy to book I haven’t had shy issues that weren’t resolved immediately

Pros

The new forms of payment I absolutely love it because everybody isn’t able to pay in full at the time of service

Cons

Not having the option for customers to purchase their own products directly from the site that’s about the only thing
