I’ve been using GlossGenius since I first started taking clients, and it’s truly been one of the easiest and most efficient tools I’ve come across. From the initial setup to accepting payments, the entire process is seamless and straightforward. It takes the stress out of managing appointments, lets clients book effortlessly, and keeps everything organized in one place. GlossGenius has not only simplified my day-to-day operations but has also helped elevate the professional experience for my clients.

Pros

I love how convenient and user-friendly GlossGenius is. My clients always mention how easy it is to book appointments and view all the services I offer.

Cons

If I had to point out one downside, it would be the limited customization options for the website. While it’s clean and functional, I do wish there was a bit more flexibility to truly make it my own—whether that’s through layout choices, color palettes, or additional branding features. A little more creative freedom would make it feel more personal and aligned with my brand.

It’s been very nice, I’ve only ever had one time where I needed to contact customer service and it was handled promptly and efficiently

Pros

I like that the website was created for me as I set up my app. That made it so convenient for me and my clients.

Cons

I don’t love that chargeback protection isn’t an overall priority or apart of both the basic and pro subscription.

Overall my experience has been great! The price is affordable, everything is simple to use and it makes checking out and keeping up with appointments for both the stylist and customers easy. I love the reminders and the customer service was very helpful when needed as well.

Pros

I like how the website is easy to use for both client and business owner. Everything is easy to navigate to set up and book.

Cons

I wish, that in the basic subscription there were more than one theme to choose from. At least two to three options. Also don’t like how you can only choose dark for the display.

great super easy for my clients to use and makes my life easier and i am able to keep all of my appointments organized

Super easy to use for my clients of any age to book. I love that I am able to personalize my website so much and make everything look how i want it to.

Cons

the only problem i have noticed is i have to keep my working hours open longer than usual for clients to be able to book my longer services but that allows clients to book shorter services after my last starting time.

I love how easy it is to use and how helpful the staff has been. I can usually get the help I need through chat, but I can get a real person if I need them for more help.

Pros

The ability to talk to real people in customer service. The white glove service when changing over from another app.

Cons

I wish I have my week be the first screen set to weekly without having to get out of the Home Screen.

I’ve been with lost Genius for five years now and I’ve had a great experience. Best booking payroll website app I’ve used.

Pros

That they listen to their salon professionals and make adjustments as we see fit. New updates are constantly being released.

Cons

That I am unable to customize the website to include pop-ups for specials and that I am not able to do a quick check out without having to create a client profile.

Pros

So easy to use for the therapist and client use experience. Online booking is a breeze along with checking the client out.

Cons

No cons at this time. My entire experience has been excellent, as has my clients'. I can't think of anything that I would like to see changed at this time.

Super easy for myself and clients to navigate. I now have gold so there’s so many more benefits and I’m loving it

Nothing on the top of my head to be honest. But for some reason I can’t seem to add clients date of birth since the last upgrade

Pros

More templates would be nice for the "website" or booking app. Other than that, its not been an y thing that isnt great

### "Gloss Genius for the win!"

Overall, I’m very happy with Gloss Genius. Before I used Aesthetic Records and this was definitely an upgrade. Waitlist feature will be great again when I have the same demand as before my injury. I just wish customer service and Gloss Genius loans included being able to talk to a human. That’s my only real beef with it. But once I figured it out, it’s been great!

Pros

Ease of use. Clients find it easy to use as well. Pretty much everything is great except for Gloss Genius loans and overall customer service need to be improved upon greatly.

Cons

I wish the Genius Loans weren’t given so easily. Last October, my business was thriving and I was hiring someone to expand. Unfortunately, I got a TERRIBLE case of carpal tunnel syndrome, was unable to work for 3 months and the girl who was going to work for me backed out. I’m not quite as booked as I used to be (yet), but it’s kinda depressing to see how much is taken from each service I do. Yesterday someone paid me $240, I only got to keep $180. Even if people tip me, the 20% loan rate eats all of it. If I knew Trump was going to win, and had foresight on the other variables that screwed me, I’d be in a MUCH different financial position right now. Sadly, the money from that loan just went to pay for my life when I wasn’t earning anything. It would be SO GREAT if a portion of that loan could just be forgiven. Is that a possibility? I honestly didn’t know if I’d get approved for it, but then the money was in my account within days. And even though I thought I read ALL the fine print that went along with it, I had no idea an extra $2k would be charged. It’s so incredibly stressful. Just today so far, my appointments have totaled to $350, but I only get to keep $271. You should REALLY require in person conversations to make sure people know what they’re getting into. Now I’m stuck in it and with the current inflation, I don’t feel I can raise my rates and I wish I could go back in time and undo it. Great idea in theory to help people expand their business, but shit hit the fan and I don’t know how long it will take me to recover. Also, if I need any tech support, I have to do it all via text? That’s ridiculous. There should at the very least be an online chat feature, but being able to talk to a human would be amazing.

It was clunky. Interface felt like using an older PC. This is much more modern. The only thing GG doesn’t have that I miss about the other is the ability to search for ‘next available appointment’ instead of having to check each day individually.

### "The Best Booking software Out!"

I choose Gloss after trying Booksy, acuity, and square. Those others where in my opinion very difficult and time consuming when setting up services and things of that nature! With Gloss it is straight forward and an easy setup. Even on my clients end they say it is very easy to schedule appointments as well as go on there and reschedule if need be! It looks very professional and we are constantly getting updates based on us asking and feedback meaning they listen! I love how you can have one app for a salon and add everyone on you can do payroll and they will be doing membership soon, it’s integrated with google as well. Gloss is a one Stopshop when it comes to booking software for us beauty professionals and salon Owners!

Pros

I love the ease when setting up your site!

Cons

I would love to be able to edit the site more as far as font and color customization maybe even motion graphics but that is also nothing major to where I wouldn’t recommend or cancel my subscription it has been great overall

I love all the amenities!!! Reviews, Deposits, Reminder and Confirmation texts for clients is amazing!! Even the portfolio. I would just like to be able to upload videos on portfolio. I love the ability for my clients to pay any way, card, tap and cash!

Cons

Pricing. I’m on the legacy plan and I love it but would like more access to upload images for the emails and texts and also be able to send more text but the other plans are a little expensive. Also I wish yall advertised like styleseat to bring us more clients!

Amazing I did everything the old fashion way before gloss genius Thus app has made my business more organized and efficient

How easy it is to navigate and makes my business day more efficient I’m able to do everything I need for my business

Not being able to put different family members on one profile but being able to check out separately or together

What I love most about GlossGenius is how professional it makes my business look while keeping everything simple and organized.

Cons

Honestly, there isn’t much I dislike. If anything, I’d just say it takes a little time to learn all the features, but once you do, it’s amazing

### "Worth the money!"

Pros

Client booking is easy as ever, love that the website is customizable and easy to use! It’s easy to set up, and you’re able to separate your services based on colors so you know exactly what you have on your calendar for the day just from a quick glance!

Cons

I haven’t found anything I dislike about the app or software, the only thing I had trouble with was payouts when instant payouts became available. I didn’t have a debit card that supported doing so, but that was a quick fix on my end.

Overall my experience has been fabulous! I enjoyed how easy it was to create my own booking site and make it my own. Definitely recommend it

Pros

I love all the new updates. I’m enjoying how easy it was to implement package options for my clients.

Cons

Nothing. It’s very easy to use. From the very beginning when I first looked into GlossGenius it’s been amazing. Thanks to my hair stylist friend that recommended it to me.

### "Gloss is the BOSS"

I love it. I have tried many other booking sites and gloss has by far surpassed every other app. Gloss is the boss

Pros

The app itself is easy to navigate. A lot of my clients are older so it helps them to select the right feature.

Cons

I wish I could post before and after videos. Instagram is trash for marketing and this would skyrocket my sales
