Pros

This app is so easy to use. I’ve used many booking systems this one I feel is the most user friendly. It automatically confirms and reminds clients. I love that I can checkout and collect from clients use the credit card reader and the money is deposited directly into my account the next day. Easy pezzy!

Cons

Not much only that the are constantly updating and it takes me a little time for me to get used to the changes.

### "Easy and professional app"

My overall experience with Has been Pretty positive. It’s easy to get in touch with somebody and resolve any questions or Concerns.

Pros

What I like most about is the ease of navigating the app And the protection you get when you are a gold member. They are professional as well.

Cons

As of right now, what I like the least about is just being able to sell a gift card or certificate without having to go on the website

### "Cross genius is my one and only!"

It’s been a great platform and I love that they’re constantly updating things. As a long time lost genius user I do wish there would be more additions to the themes for our website on , including one’s more marketed for med spas, and Skin and Laser businesses. I also wish the themes looked better and cleaner on the iPhone and not just the iPads and computer computers. I have been very happy with lost genius and referred numerous other professional professionals to it, I love that I can keep track of my clients appointments, but I do wish we would get some interface updates for functionality and also back and services and booking.

Pros

I like that it sends me texts and asked me to leave notes via text, I like that it sends my clients several reminders and confirmation requests, I like that I asked my clients for reviews and got it integrates with my website very well.

Cons

I wish that the portfolio gallery was a little smarter and easier to update, including having most current photos show up at the top instead of oldest to newest. I wish that the social templates were much more advanced entire quality with more options and more customizable templates. I also wish there was The ability to send more characters in content in the text message, marketing, and images in the email marketing. I wish there was some AI integrations with the platform in general that was tied into everything that I have mentioned, including forms and waivers.

Reason for choosing GlossGenius

Pricing and the credit card processing fees were the biggest reasons. Another big reason is, I love that it can be my all in one platform. I use it from everything from my calendar to Scheduling to my point of sale. My client notes past purchases and appointment, my waivers, I like to use it for my text and email marketing, but I do find that there is a lot of room for improvement, especially with the text, limited abilities and characters and the limited ability to customize email marketing.

### "Best booking app for a business."

It’s been the best and most convenient app I have used. Other apps have more restrictions and less flexibility. Not to mention the website templates so fantastic. They are so clean and professional, easy to navigate and customizable to your vision. I’m so happy with this app I tell everyone about it and recommend it to all friends in the market for a booking app for their small business.

Pros

This apps makes booking appointments, bookkeeping and checking out clients so easy and efficient. It has helped make running a business so much easier than other apps.

Cons

The only complaint I have is that I can not customize gift cards for specific services, I can only do dollar increments.

Overall I’ve loved and appreciate the constant updates trying to make it better!

Pros

I love all of the extra features like online booking but having the ability to approve them first, email marketing, automatic reminders, reminding me to write down formulas in my notes and most of all how easy it was to switch over. I didn’t have to do a thing!

Cons

The price, having to wait to get my money until Monday from my work on Friday and not being able to immediately transfer money without an extra cost. As a micro business everyone gets us coming and going and it’s just too much. We shouldn’t be charged to deposit our money, we already pay monthly for the service.

It been great but needs more features. Like a point rewards system for customers . Memberships . Need drop down add on options on the menu

Cons

There’s no multi location option for stylist that want to open more than one location. There’s no drop down add on to put actual add ons to the services where you can pick more than one at a time like Booksy or Vagaro

### "Solid App & Experience "

Great experience, that only gets better with time.

Pros

It’s easy to use, convenient, makes life behind the chair so much simpler. I love the new barcode scanning option on products, and the versatility of checkouts.

Cons

The only thing I’ve found that I don’t like, is not being able to combine multiple checkouts. If I have a family of 2-3 people, separate profiles for them, and one person wants to pay, it would be really nice to be able to combine them at checkout instead of adding all the costs to one person.

Straight out of school and getting licensed I was trying to decide on what booking app would be the best and I quickly discovered Gloss. I downloaded it and have never even considered anything else! It’s so easy, efficient, fun, and in every aspect great! I always recommend it to my fellow hairstylist and lash techs because I believe it’s the best!

Pros

I love how you can customize everything to be exactly how you want it!! Booking clients is so easy and fast that it makes that part of the appointments so much easier! My clients also rave about how easy it is to book an appointment as well! I believe it has gained me a handful of clients simply because it’s so easy and convenient for them!

Cons

I would love to have a card reader but i can’t quite justify the cost of them. They are all super cute but I can’t justify grabbing one.

My experience with gloss has been amazing and I can’t think of ever leaving. 10/10 recommend businesses to use Gloss!

Pros

What I love most about is the ease of use and protection that is offers its subscribers. I am subscribed to the gold tier and recently had an ex client try to dispute a policy offense. GlossGenius notified immediately and assured me that they were going to handle everything on behalf of me. And they did and I won the dispute!

Cons

My only con would be not having a late/last minute cancellation option to charge that would show on the customers detailed receipt. You usually have to make it into a service or charge the client as a labeled no show

Switched from

Because square was inconvenient and did not offer the priority or protection for us business owners

I love gloss genius! The support for users but also the ease my clients have while using it is so nice!

Pros

I love that I’m able to schedule my clients while also allowing them the capability to book themselves. I love that I’m able to customize my site as well!

Cons

I’d like to just click the day/time on the calendar to create an appointment rather than having to hit the plus.

### "Love our Gloss Genius!"

I enjoy the easy checkout on all forms of platforms from cell phone and the desktop versions.

Pros

The easy ability for clients to access their schedules and the stylist having assigned services for their own needs in their business. The separation between the staff and the clients is a nice feature.

Cons

The constant breakdown of service or updates at the same time of business and not sending out any notifications on the “updates”. I don’t like that the staff can access the payroll as well as see reports if the gloss is logged into through the salon using the desktop version as well as checking out clients.

I couldn’t run by business at sola without it!

Pros

Reminders it sends, that it makes it so easy

Cons

When I add expenses the decimal place is already there so I have to erase the 00.00$ that is there before I can add the price I paid for that purchase

has made my experience as a hairstylist a lot easier. It keeps me on track and motivated with all the special features it has. My clients love the app and how easy it is to maneuver. Overall it’s been a pretty great experience.

Pros

The ease it brings to my clients and I for scheduling and for new potential clients. I love the reminders it send to my clients as well.

Cons

The ONLY thing I’ve complained about is my card reader. It never fails I have this awkward pause with my client and I because I have to reconnect every time I check someone out. And the card reader will randomly update in the middle of me using it so I’m stuck there waiting and keeping my client waiting.
