I absolutely love Gloss Genius, great value for the money it does everything I need in one simple app. Clients love the ease of scheduling. I love the fact that I can manage my inventory and it alerts me when I need to re-order. I recommend Gloss Genius on my social media pages and even have had a few take my referral and sign up.

Pros

The ease of setting up. I love the ease of the POS system. Low processing fees. Love that my clients get reminders. Running reports is super easy and I love the goal tracker as well.

Cons

My only thing I'd like to see them do is being able to merge two tickets together, but other than that no complaints.

I am now coming up on my two year anniversary as a solo aesthetician. Previously I had worked with half a dozen platforms and software. I believe the overall cost for what you receive from GlossGenius is by far the best value. It speaks volumes when even your elderly clients find it easy to navigate and book their appointments directly from your website.

Pros

The ease of navigating through the platform gives me peace of mind. Even with some of the features I had trouble with or are unfamiliar with, if the automated system was unable to answer my question, I always received a great response emailed to me by one of the staff members.

Cons

I created memberships within the platform when it was first launched. There are still some bugs to work out in the details with those, but overall, I am happy.

Beyond bad. It’s garbage. They have prevented me multiple times from operating my business properly and REFUSE to respond to support tickets.

Pros

Nothing. There is no redeeming qualities of this app. They lie about there pricing tiers, lie about the quality of service and lie about literally everything.

Cons

AI customer service, ZERO way to call or speak to a human when issues happen. Updating the app on a Sat rendering the app and way to collect payments unusable. Refusing to respond to help tickets. Basic options for editing appointments non existent.

Gloss Genius has been my saving grace in a world that moves so fast now in all avenues of life & business. It's the one constant that I rely heavily on while myself & my esthetic business move forward. I didn't look any further for a booking site when Gloss Genius met every need I had

Pros

All of it ! I went back to work for myself in 2025. The last year I did that was from 2004-2011. Gloss Genius has been CRAZY easy & comprehensive to use when I realized that technology had left me behind from traditional business bookkeeping. I've had zero problems setting it up & maintaining my business. Multiple videos to assist me as well. My clients are at ease as well booking their appointments along with the secure payment process. I also love the ability to move appointments at a moments notice for myself AND my clients ! That adds to the value of its services for my business. It has been a HUGE relief knowing that Gloss Genius is there during each step with reliable services for all my business needs.

Cons

The only thing I haven't like was when it was shut down for a day. Nothing else to say. I love Gloss Genius.

Gloss has been a fresh breath of air compared to other platforms I’ve used. I’ve never had an issue that would make me want to leave. I feel heard and supported by the staff working behind the scenes and can only make suggestions to further improve the app!

Pros

Ive been using Gloss for a few years now and it has been the EASIEST transition. I didn’t even have to set up my client transfer at all! I’m able to color code appointments making it easier to see my schedule clearly. The website is easy to customize and easy to use for my clients! They prefer booking with Gloss than the last platform we used! I’m able to choose the payment percentage and absorb the cost of have it paid by the clients. The processing times are immediate as well as the payouts. I love the customization we’re able to do with every corner of the app. The features that come with the app are endless and ever changing making the price 100% worth it! My favorite part about Gloss is that they care and they listen to the professionals using it. Every update has been a request made my us! I’ve also never had an issue with payments or security with my clients cards. I feel secure and safe continuing use of this platform!

Cons

There’s not anything negative I can say, only suggestions to make. When opening the calendar can we have an automatic default to the same day. I’ve made the mistake of booking a clients appointment in a rush on the same day as the previous booking 😅Also it would be helpful to be able to click the booking time wanted without the secondary screen pulling up a random time when rebooking. Also I’d like to request that the emailed messages are able to be answered in app. I’ve missed a couple lost in my email pile up.

Pros

I love how easy it is for clients to book. They don’t need to create an account and have easy access to see all relevant information.

Cons

I want an option to add their mailing address when booking. And also a P&L report. More customization for automated text message would also be helpful.

### "Great booking site, AWFUL account security "

Yesterday I had $235 come out of my account when I decided to check my email, someone from a different state who was not me logged into my account and made the purchase I assume. I chatted with the help bot and asked if there was a customer service number I could call. The bot said no although the email regarding the suspicious login did have a phone number. I tried calling this phone number (within its operating hours) and the bot on the phone told me I called while the line was not in operation. I ended up having to settle with my bank and getting a new card. Later on in the day, after putting a ticket in explaining what had happened with my account, I got an email explaining how switching subscriptions will automatically bill the subscription I switch to, which had absolutely nothing to do with what I said, so overall poor costumer service. I’m very upset with this expirenced because I absolutely loved every other aspect of the app! (And as a side note, my password was secure and I did in fact have two factor authentication on.)

Pros

I loved how easy it was for clients to book appointments and the navigation was super easy to use when customizing your site, overall the organization and features were really great compared to other booking sites!

Cons

Poor Security and subscription fees. I opted for the free trial because I was previously using a different booking site. I wanted to try GlossGenius and when my free trial was over, it automatically selected a pricey plan when I only wanted the basic $24 subscription. I had to go in and change my plan after already paying $50 some dollars.

Pros

Where to start? My business is a before and after GG, my time management. client satisfaction, website, scheduling and payment processing are always on point thanks to this app. I recommend GG 100% if you want to step up your game and also get value for your money.

Cons

Not much options for services descriptions, it will be great to add pics of products to recommend with booked service. Also, mail campaigns are very limited

I like the way the Appointment management is set up and the value for your money. Gloss is always looking for ways to improve too.

At first it is a huge learning curve with gloss but once you get it figured out you will love gloss it.

Great! I enjoy learning on th app and discovering new things. I would like to be able to edit the flyers in the app.

Pros

I love the easibilty of the website. Not only for me but my clients. I love the text messaging and the goals. I love everything even the gift cards!

Cons

I don’t like that I can post the gift cards, that I can only load one pic at a time and that I can’t upload videos. I’m still learning the app though.

Great app! I recommend it to all my massage and cosmetology people! I love how versatile it is as well as user friendly!

Pros

I love having everything I need in my app,easily accessible and secure! I also love the fact that I can have it on multiple devices, so I always have a form of my schedule on me.

Cons

I don't necessarily like that I have to pay for gold to get a SOAP note format; I feel the app is set up more ideally for cosmetology than for massage,unless you pay more.

I love it. It helps me keep everything organized and together in one place. I love that I can set goals, keep up with product and inventory, easily change things, communicate with clients, and the analytics and reports are life savers

Pros

That it’s so user friendly and affordable. All payments and processing are convenient and secure. Other than last fall I’ve had no bugs, issues, or crashes. Scheduling is a breeze and online booking is very simple for clients to navigate.

Cons

That I can’t create add on’s without adding time to services. At least not easily. IE if I want to charge for extra length I have to manually add it during checkout as opposed to adding it under services

### "2 + years and still going!"

I've had a very good experience with them thus far (2 years) and can't really find anything else to comment on! Always quick to fix hiccups & communicative.

Pros

Gloss Genius is the easiest software for beauty professional to use in my opinion. No spending weeks trying to smooth everything out, they make the transfer process beyond easy, though mine did take longer that my coworkers, it probably would have taken me 1000x times longer. Clients love that they don't need another password to remember and the reminder texts and emails aren't too much. Just enough reminders. I pay for the Gold service and have really enjoyed the mass text and email option - but don't like that you have to pay for more than 500 texts per month as they transferred all my clients from over ten years and it's a very long process to try and pick out the regulars or pay a big chunk to just send all. Appointment management and online booking and changes are easy on both mine and clients ends. There have been slight bug issues over the past few years but they are always beyond quick to get them fixed ASAP. I do not sell product so cannot comment on inventory personally, but i'm sure it's just as smooth as the rest.

Cons

My biggest complaint is really more so a bank issue than gloss genius but when the holidays align on Mondays or Tuesdays you won't get a pay out for 4-5 days straight so you have to pay the .10% fee which can be a lot of money if you have a big chunk sitting and need to pay bills.

I have been able to build clientele by using GlossGenius compared to old school paper/pencil. I’m most definitely satisfied with my experience. They continue to enhance and improve.

Pros

I appreciate the ease of booking appointments in person and online. The value compared to monthly cost, is an added bonus. I also appreciate the sense of security involved with the program and with support.

Cons

One thing that is time consuming, is not being able to check out multiple clients at the same time, especially when you have family members together.

### "Best booking site"

Im very satisfied with GlossGenius I haven’t experienced any issues. I love my wait list options and how easy it is for clients to add themselves to the waitlist

Pros

The simplicity for my business and my clients love how easy it is to book a service and not being over complicated and how convenient it is to fill out consent forms

Cons

I wish it allowed us to set up different times for working days have to manually do it for each day.

Love that clients can schedule themselves, fill out forms easily, HIPPA compliant. Easy to see what staff has scheduled. Easy to set up permissions for employees, too!

Pros

Ease of use. Scheduling, paperwork, client history, all a breeze! Enjoy that my employees can use on their own easily.

Cons

Link says my name and not our spas’. I think that it is confusing. I do not know how to change that?

### "Get Gloss!!"

I've been using it for 5 years now and refuse to switch. Very easy to use, a lot of business tools offered which is nice. I've used the gloss loan 3 times now i believe, that's been a life saver!

Pros

Manageability for myself as well as my clients is great! Easy to pop in and out of to check schedule and make appointments.

Cons

It signs me out quite often and I have to sign in with a code, other than that nothing else. Very happy with it.

### "Got what I need with Gloss"

I love and appreciate the price point most of all. Being a solopreneur has not been easy financially

Cons

The inability to invoice clients, and to use the suggested workaround was what I liked the least honestly

I love it! No issues, very easy to use! Easy to set up. Quick to navigate through , easy to get where you need to go.

Pros

It’s very Easy to navigate. When I was setting up my profile, I was happy that everything was user friendly!

Cons

Doesn’t recommend clients like styleseat! That would be a great feature. If there was a way for clients who don’t have a stylist to browse and find one!

Considering the several different booking systems I've used over my career, this has been by far the easiest to work with!

Pros

Every client that uses it says it's extremely easy to use when booking their appointments. Not one of them has had an issue when booking appointments online.

Cons

There were some reports that I wish are available for statistics on services, such as how many of what service I did within a specific amount of time.

### "And It Only Keeps Getting Better..."

Its been an aweaome experience with Glossgenius. I shpped around for a while before choosing and I"m glad I took my time to do the research. The overall appeal of the schduling site is far more easier on the eye than other popular platforms. Gloss Genius will have my business for a long time.

Pros

Its extremely easy to navigate and set up. Its also visually appealing. The website options look expensive and luxurious compared to other schduling platforms.

Cons

Not all features are available via desktop and I wish more options were available to basic subscribers.
