It's a software I can rely on to send important correspondence at the correct time. Pros I love how easy Boomerang makes it to schedule emails. I often work late at night and prefer to have my emails arrive first thing in the morning; with Boomerang I can sleep easy knowing that my emails will arrive at the intended time. Cons I wish you could easily customize the automated "Schedule Send" times. Mine autopopulates with send "this morning" at 8 a.m. and "this afternoon" at 1 p.m. I wish I could set them to 7:30 a.m. and noon, for exavmple. You can of course input your own custom time, but it would save a little effort if you could customize the autopopulated times. Review Source SH Samantha H. Pros Boomerang is like having an assistant on your side to help you remember tasks, emails and conversations that need to be followed up on. I love how it's so easily integrated into my Gmail account! Cons The only con is that there have been a few times where my email didn't return to my primary inbox and that made it harder to find and actually be reminded by. Pros Being able to schedule emails, and have it remind you if you don't get a reply, helps keep you on track, and not let things fall through the cracks. Pros Boomerang has been a lifesaver for me. My favorite features are; Pause inbox - Sometimes I just want to find some info on my email real quick without being sucked in to the tunnel of unread emails, and what better way than to pause all incoming mails? Send Later - I can schedule when I want an email to go out. Boomerang if no reply - Sometimes I send an email then forget to follow up when there is no response. Boomerang now has my back. Return Conversation to inbox- For when I want to respond or work on something later. Cons At some point the Boomerang Respondable feature just stopped working, can they bring it back? The way you could schedule emails for later and simply snooze them if you didnt want to read them just yet. I also liked the feature where you could send a reminder in advance if the person does not respond in a few days. I'm not wasting time on e-mails that don't deserve my immediate attention. Pros Love the ability to schedule e-mail at a later time and not disturb clients outside of regular business hours. I also like the add-on assistant to help in writing better e-mails. in Being able to use the software to assist me in scheduling my calendar is also a plus, and so is automatic follow-up reminders for important e-mails. Cons I honestly have not found anything that I dislike about this software. Although, there's at one feature I wish was included as part of the personal pricing plan as opposed to the Pro (sharing availability). Reason for choosing Boomerang for Gmail The value of what I am getting with Boomerang is worth the price. Also, it came highly recommended and was easy to incorporate with my Microsoft Outlook. At times though, I am waiting on another person or want to revisit something in a few weeks without starring at it every day until then. Boomerang allows me to do just that--with the click of a button, I am able to ensure that emails wind up back in my inbox and, with a clean inbox, I can focus on what really needs to be addressed now. Cons Boomerang works by almost forwarding the email back to your inbox. Thus, with gmail, you might have a thread of emails (the original one and then the one from boomerang). Once you get used to this though, it really is not a problem at all. As a student, I am often up late at night working. I use Boomerang to set up an email to deliver in advance, so I don’t commit the faux paus of emailing my professor at 3 in the morning! Pros Boomerang allows me to schedule emails in advance, particularly, when I’m working late at night, but don’t want to expose the recipient to my late night mailings. I’ve recommended Boomerang many times to other students Cons I don’t love how Boomerang sets an assumed time to send around two days in advance pretty much automatically. I felt that it was somewhat intrusive as well, without offering enough payback. Pros We used this for a while the idea being to replace our CRM system. It wasn't a viable replacement. Overall it's ok. Cons I stopped using it the free version wasn't good enough and the paid version didn't seem worth it. We are back to using our CRM. My current employer uses Gmail as our platform and I had to draft an email and then send later. It was taking too much effort, thus came Boomerang. I can now work as late as I want, but send all the emails the next morning. It really helps me stay on top of my work. I can also schedule messages to send later if they aren't important right away. This is one of my favorite workplace tools. Cons Occassionally the software glitches, but it is very rare and a quick refresh is all that is needed. Also great for workflow management so you can have a messages return and catch those message that go unanswered. Cons It's not intuitive to use, you may need some instruction. They do have tutorials. Nowadays I'm using only the Gmail features instead of Boomerang options Pros What I did like most about Boomerang for Gmail is the recipe option, giving me the option to know what happened to my email, i.e., if it was already read or not. Cons What I did like least about Boomerang for Gmail is that it is something you need to install and Gmail already has a lot of the same options without installing anything else. Boomerang makes it a snap to do that and always delivers like it should. Pros Boomerang does exactly what I need when I need it to, it's easy to schedule and easy to edit scheduled messages as well. Everything was plug and play and nothing was difficult to get set up. I've had zero issues with it and use it daily. It helps to maintain a professional image if you are working late or at weekends, for example. Email scheduling also means that emails can be scheduled for the times of day when the receiver is most likely to read and act on them. The pause inbox feature allows me to receive notifications only for the most important emails. Not least, I now also know whether sent email has been read. There isn't much to this software but what it can do, it did well enough. I like the boomerang feature where it reminded me to follow up. Since things can get hectic and I forget to shoot an email to a client, this takes out the guesswork. The open and click tracking seem to be pretty reliable in their accuracy, which is a pleasant change from many other tracking software I've used in the past. Cons First of all, the opens are sent back to you as emails which can result in a flood of emails in your inbox, especially if you had sent a good number of emails. This isn't very pleasant. There are ways to work around this but it can be annoying. Secondly, I can't say that the Respondable feature was very helpful. April 23, 2018 5.0 declutter my inbox! such a nice thing to be able to concentrate on what I have to do at a moment, a not to have 20 emails on my inbox just to not loose them. Pros I used to mark as unread threads of email that I need to keep track on, with boomerang you can just select the amount of time you want to wait until an answer if you don't get one by that moment boomerang will let you know, that's an excellent feature that cleans my inbox. Also a great feature is that you can schedule emails to be sent later, so if you are working late you don't have to worry about bothering others at inappropriate times. Read receipts are also great so you don't have to ask for an email to know if someone read yours, especially if you don't need an answer in particular. People can also opt out, but in that case if you boomerang that message you will still keep track of it. A thing I find great is that whatever email you need to keep an eye on gets on your inbox, I usually forget to look at things or special places (aka click on special folders, labels, etc), this way I don't miss a thing! Cons As for my concern I haven't found any flaw on this tool! I know there might be some cons but for what I need its perfect and I got used to it in less than a minute. Pros I like that it's easy to use – it's right there in your email message and you can select the exact time and date you want it to send. Cons I don't love that you only get so many credits a month before you have to start paying for it. It's not a big enough priority in my business that I should be paying for it, so I have to select which emails I use it on accordingly. It helps me keep my professional work boundaries. If I email clients outside of my business hours, I give them the impression that it's ok for them to email me anytime they want. I also don't want to bother them outside of their work hours. So it goes two ways. Scheduled emails and reminders are a brilliant combo. I feel like it should be built into Gmail, but until then...Boomerang gets it! Pros I work crazy hours but don't necessarily want my clients to know that. With Boomerang, I can be working late at night and schedule my emails to send in the morning instead. That enables me to work when I work best, without having to play catchup the next day. Cons The free version is somewhat limited, but that's my only complaint!
