It has saved me from forgetting important deadlines or forgetting to respond to important emails when I was not ready to. Pros I love how integrated it is with Gmail and the fact that I don't have to worry about writing a note or not being ready to be reminded since it occurs right in the email platform. Pros It is super easy to set up and use. I was able to figure out how to use it without needing to read instructions or do any complicated set up. I can schedule emails to be sent out while I am not working, I can track emails, I can set reminder emails or boomerang the emails for later. I benefit from it every day! Cons what I don't like is that when I use the " Remind me if no reply", even when I get a reply from the recipient, Boomerang sends me a reminder anyway. This is really confusing most of the time. I use it all the time if I'm going away on vacation and want emails to be sent out while I'm away. I send out volunteer reminders and schedule them out ahead of time using boomerang, too. It's also nice to use the boomerang feature where you can have an email sent back to your inbox if there is no response. This helps me follow up with volunteers and coworkers on projects I'm trying to keep moving forward and reminds me when I need to keep something moving that I thought I passed off to someone else. Cons I do like that you are able to edit your future outgoing emails, but I don't like them being saved under a boomerang tab on gmail, it makes it hard to find, and I wish they could be saved in a more customized label. I won't do email without it. Pros It's a really niche add-on for my gmail inbox, but so so helpful. With it, I can easily schedule un-responded to emails to return to the top of my inbox after a certain number of days, or have my emails go out at a later date -- which is super helpful if I'm doing client outreach, job hunting, or PR work. Cons Sometimes, when I want to use it, it has to open up a new window to start up, then takes awhile to load -- it's not just on my gmail browser at all times. It'd be great if it worked or loaded a bit faster. As someone who loves planning ahead, being able to schedule emails in advance really helps me stay on top of things. Pros I like the simplicity of the design. It’s definitely edited down with allows for a minimalistic, uncluttered feel. Cons I initially downloaded Boomerang for the feature that lets you track email responses. It turned out what I was after more was the ability to snooze an email and have it pop up again when necessary like in Outlook. Pros Boomerang has been very helpful in keeping my email inbox clear. It’s great to be able to move emails out that you are not able to deal with straightaway or schedule an email for later. Cons Would be great to roll Boomerang out across more of our not for profit but with rate per user it’s not cost effective to do so.
