Pros: It has good tools for the development of the design department, its rendering time is very good, it has a great variety of templates and predesigned objects that you can easily use

Cons: The cost of the full version is very high, you need to have a large RAM because the program is very heavy and runs slow. the option to undo is usually a problem

Overall: We could say that it is a great tool for the design and reality of plans, it has great tools for performance in architecture. You just need a good processor

In my work as an architect I have found Lumion extremely useful as a visualisation tool.

Pros: Two features stand out:
First: You get results really fast. From sketchup model to production quality images takes only a minimal amount of setting up.
Second: It allows for tweaking in the model -while working on the final images.

Cons: The software is set up to work without menus and tabs.
This gives you a clean working environment focused on the end result without endless tabs and ribbons such as in office or adobe software. A lot of functions are 'hidden' and it takes a little bit of searching where certain functions or buttons are.

Overall: Lumion made making visualisations really easy and fast. Normally it would take me and my team a week to get to production quality results. With lumion we could cut it down to a single day- and we could not only make still images but animations as well.

Pros: Easy to use, solid performance, great renders and extreme fast render times. I use Lumion from the very start of the designing process, and constantly switch between Archicad and Lumion. I show the renders to my clients, or share them on social media in every stage of the process. It's fun working with Lumion and it really gives my designing process a boost.

Cons: Importing external materials (and their respective channels) could be better. It would be nice if all channels could be adjusted directly from within Lumion without a Photoshop detour.

Overall: A lot of great support and from all clients and people I work with. And I have control over my artist impressions, without the need for external visualization firms. And the designing process is much more fun working in a real-time environment.

Pros: Lumion revolutionize the visualization process for the modern designers. Streamline the trickiest rendering elements such as landscape, water, and animated objects into a seamless, simple workflow. Working in landscape architecture, you get to now focus on your design and less on thinking about what it might look like in real life.

Cons: Further customization at the level of types of leaves, trunks, colors of flowers would be helpful.

Pros: That it is so easy to use. It saves us a lot of time working with this software. The lightning is also very good, and the possibilities of changing the "time of the day".

Cons: Not much I dont´t like about this software, but I hope that they can do something about the limitation to 20 visibility layers.

Fast and intuitive with revit

Pros: The ease of exporting from revit into lumion. The program reads the revit file very well and is easy to minipulate materials and place objects.

Cons: The mobility of user camera is clunky and slow. While the base program is a decent price the pro version is a bit expensive.

I have a very positive experience with Lumion. It's intuitive and really fast.

Pros: I love how fast it is and how big areas it is possible to render. We did several projects where we needed to render whole cities, or city areas and I don't know of any software that would make it faster then Lumion.

Cons: There is no versions for Mac. I work in a small advertising agency and iOS is the system of choice for both us and many others in design/advertising/photo industry. I have all of my stuff and resources on the Mac, so moving it back and forth to PC when I need to use Lumion is a big pain.

Overall: I get the job done extremely quick. With no previous 3D experience I was able to learn Lumion in the matter of hours and it generated first income in the matter of days. We had a project with 3D elements in it and with extremely short deadline . I don't know of any other software that would allow us to make it done so fast (both thinking about how easy it was to start using and rendering times of complicated structures). I love the "what you see I what you get" aspect of it, and that you see it in real-time, without wasting time to pre-render things.

I am a novice in lumion since I just learned it this year.

Pros: I love how realistic the imagery is, how easy to use, and how quick renderings take. It is great for academic and professional work.

Cons: Had difficulty in customizing materials. I also had trouble orienting views/cameras exactly where I wanted them
