### "Great tool, simple as it gets"

November 4, 2024

5.0

Great tool, didn’t find any better alternatives tbh, we use it very often at work, never lets us down

Pros

Easy to use, simple formatting options, super nice structure and with folders and items. Search shortcuts (enter, double enter, triple enter)

Cons

Search. But has improved a lot lately, now supports a lot of formats when searching.

### "Perfect for project management!"

June 30, 2024

5.0

Great experience overall, would definitely recommend if you're looking for a simple and easy to use project management / knowledge base system.

Pros

I really enjoy how simple and easy to use Nuclino is! If you have a small to mid size team, this is a great solution to project management and even further than that, a knowledge base, asset base and more. Clean design, simple features, just great all around.

Cons

It lacks some features such as being able to sum a column in a table, but hopefully in time things like that will be added as others find use for something like that.

### "Incredibly well designed"

June 19, 2024

5.0

I appreciate the thoughtfulness of the design of this platform. I like the fact it is independent and is 'pure' in what it does.

Pros

I don't know where to start. I knew what I wanted being a well designed platform that we could build our knowledge on. There are many solutions and either they are part of another solution or overly complex. The design of this platform is incredibly well thought out. It was not easy for me to find during my research, seems to fail to hit many of the top review sites. But when I used it I instantly knew this was 'the one'. And my team loves it.

Cons

There is nothing I dislike about Nuclino.

pretty ok, I don't use it alot, but good though. I still prefer using a notebook at the moment as it gives me more minimalistic approach to what I have to do and in case I have any ideas I can jot them down with ease.

Pros

It doesn't required paper, so in that case it is clean, the nice color layout and the formatting of the website.

Cons

It feels cluttered and it can get there quite easily. It took me a while to get used to the layout but I ended up opting out for a notebook.

### "Amazing For Students"

October 10, 2023

5.0

Pros

The most standout features to me are the various ways to visualize your project structure, such as graph mode, tables, lists, or a general board. While it may seem simple, this allows me to approach the same project with whatever mindset that best fits me in a given day. I don't have to force myself to adjust to the same structure if I'm not in the headspace to deal with its format. Instead, I can look through the other options to adjust the program to me.

Cons

The only issues I've had have been with the limited functions within text editing, although the features present are extremely powerful when you need them.

Reason for choosing Nuclino

Simplicity, ease of use, Rapid Customization

As a student, I don't exactly have time to learn a software in depth unless it directly contributes to what I'm building in a given project. As a result, Nuclino offered me a robust and detailed system without a surface level complexity that I'd have to spend time combing through to understand.

### "Disappointing Experience with Nuclino for Document Hosting and Team Collaboration"

March 3, 2023

2.0

Pros

One positive aspect of Nuclino that I appreciated was how easy it was to use. The interface is intuitive and simple, making it easy to navigate and find what I needed. Additionally, the drag-and-drop features for adding images to documents were helpful and convenient. Overall, I found the software to be user-friendly and straightforward to integrate into my workflow.

Cons

My biggest complaint about Nuclino is the lack of transparency about its pricing structure. The fact that the Standard plan only allows for two users and any additional users require an extra fee was not made clear before I subscribed. I also found it frustrating that I did not receive the promised two-week free trial with my subscription. Another issue was the inability to make an entire workspace public and the need to make every item public individually, which was time-consuming and resulted in non-functional item links. Additionally, the absence of a messaging or chat feature within Nuclino made team communication outside of the platform necessary. Finally, the cost of the service was too high for a simple document hosting service, and the lack of additional features did not justify the price.

Response from Nuclino

March 14, 2023

Hi Eugene, thank you for your review. We're very sorry to hear that you did not have a positive experience. We would like to clarify the following: (1) Our pricing is and always has been publicly available on our website: https://www.nuclino.com/pricing. As stated on our pricing page, the Standard plan allows for an arbitrary number of users and every user incurs a separate fee. (2) We double-checked this and according to our system, your team correctly received the 14-day free trial as advertised. (3) Nuclino is designed for internal use in teams and companies. Internal links in publicly shared items do not work by design as a security measure to prevent accidentally leaking sensitive information. We also reached out to you personally and hope we can rectify the situation.

### "Mostly a rant about Nuclino"

February 8, 2023

5.0

It was good, I will probably use Nuclino as a journal, but Notion can do that as well.

Pros

— The animation of the to-do checkmark is satisfying.— You can change the knowledge database into a mind map graph.

Cons

— Full text search only looks for title pages.— No simple way of adding reminders to tasks.— No Inline Databases like in Notion

### "Use of Nuclino for Engineering Documentation"

December 20, 2021

5.0

I have started working with Nuclino on the design of an electric racecar. Here, we were asked to document all of our design steps in Nuclino, from the conceptual design to the actual calculations. I had quite some difficulties with some programs used within the team, but with Nuclino, everything was so simple. Creating new items and writing was really intuitive, as well as the integration of screenshots and how the dimensions of an image can be adapted automatically to look best within the document. As I have had such a positive experience, I proposed using Nuclino to the team I am in charge of now. Here we design drones for societal benefits, and we use Nuclino for all of our documentation. This documentation includes design choices, as well as python plots, or screenshots from softwares, or softwares setup guides. As we have divided the design in subdepartments, Nuclino also makes it easy to check everything that is being written in each subdepartment. There are multibple ways of seeing how the documentation is organised - a plain table, or a graph. We use Slack for communication, and Nuclino integrates nicely, so that notifications are carried across two platforms.

Pros

The main benefit of Nuclino is its ease of use. We switched from OneNote to Nuclino because OneNote was not intuitive nor easy to organise. Nuclino is easy to organise, so that documentation can be easily grouped, and new items are added simply by clicking on a plus. It is also very easy to add images (using ctrl C even) as well as making tables, and it supports many apps integrations. We use Teams, and we integrated it well. The possibility to make comments on items also increases the thought sharing process within the team. Nuclino also has a much more pleasant user interface than any other site I have used. Another useful feature is the math integration: simple calculations in maths can be directly solved in Nuclino, by writing the operation and then inserting the = sign - and Nuclino will automatically give the result! This is useful to us when we are showing our raw thought process - everything is clear and connected.

Cons

We mainly use Nuclino for documentation, therefore there are no missing apps integrations as of now, however it could be useful if we could integrate Excel as well - for now only Google Sheets can be used.

### "One of the best for product management!"

April 26, 2023

5.0

My team and I have been using Nuclino for some time now, and since we're in the game development industry, Nuclino I would have to say is best for game design documents (GDDs) and critical note taking and research. So far with my experience personally, I haven't anything really bad to say about Nuclino; its functionality for me is 10/10; as I said in the con's though, its a little bit expensive for the premium features so make sure you can afford it!That being said, its great for teams and studios of any size so I highly recommend!

Pros

\> Easy to use!> Quick to learn its functionality> Able to invite team members as admins or viewers> Content is really easy to organise> Free trial not too limiting> Adding users to moderate/edit the Nuclino pages is not too expensive> Can tag/hyperlink to other tabs on the same Nuclino page (as well as tag users).> Multiple available integrations, such as Google Drive and Microsoft Teams.

Cons

\> Price is a LITTLE dare on the premium version; make sure you or your team can afford it, especially if you want to add multiple users to the workspace.> Mobile version is a little buggy/glitchy. My experience with the bugs was that when I was checking off a checklist, the spacing between the lines went spastic, and made that page very unorganised, so I recommend the computer version over the mobile one until that's fixed.

### "Great product for a Small / Medium Business"

August 12, 2022

4.0

This is a great product for the free version and used with small teams, sharing information is easy and presents a solution to off-site collaboration.

Pros

We really enjoy this solution, it's very easy to use and practically works like our internal database. We are also able to link external documents for easy sharing. These features really enhance the company's real-time collaboration. Since this is an easy tool, we expend very little time training our partners.

Cons

One thing that they can improve is the formatting tools, some variety is needed to have a pleasant UX.  If the company grows and uses more space this tool suffers, we only recommended for medium or small databases.  Pricing can be expensive if you use it with large teams.

### "Nuclino is what Confluence should be"

February 6, 2020

5.0

Great from start to end. I signed up with Nuclino in its very early days and the product has been rock solid. The team has been willing to add new features I've suggested (yay, emoji auto-complete when entering ":") and they've been moving fast and building new features every month. The low price tag was another key factor.

Pros

Nuclino is exactly what you'd want in a wiki software. Anyone trying to organize a series of documents/notes in an organization should check our Nuclino because it fits the bill. The design of the product is so good that it's actually fun writing new notes/docs in the app. There's a desktop app, web app and mobile app that make it easy to quickly search for a bit of organization knowledge, capture call notes/meeting notes, etc. They have great keyboard shortcuts (start a line with "/" just like in Slack and you'll see the types of objects you can insert) and linking new docs is as easy as using the "@" symbol. Live multi-user collaboration rounds out the feature set. And the price tag is VERY reasonable. The team behind the product is small, excited and very responsive.

Cons

If you're looking for something that can include every kind of widget (one of the selling features of Confluence) then Nuclino may not be the right fit... but honestly, use another tool for your dashboards. Those sorts of crazy widgets don't belong in your organization's wiki! Users coming from expensive wiki products will feel like some things are "missing" but if you want a wiki that's actually easy and fun to use, this is it.

Reason for choosing Nuclino

Hosted software was easier to maintain (our team is small and we have little time to manage/update software). Nuclino was one of the cheapest hosted products and it had the right level of ACL features (so we could have restricted/secret work groups).

### "Great Tool for Personal & Team Light-Weight Project Mgmt"

August 8, 2023

5.0

It's been great, support has also been really good.

Pros

I love the snappy UX/UI of Nuclino, which makes it a great tool to collect and work on your own daily tasks and todos. I've also shared pages and spaces with fellow team members, more in the capacity of knowledge management.

Cons

Due to the nature of the product, there's no "publish" step that you have with solutions like Confluence. This way you need to use the history feature to trace back changes that were made by other users.
